LOL @ DS "throwing a sickie" mammyjo - halrious!!

All the best for those having scans today - how exciting!!!!!

Reeeeeally pleased your cat came back bubs - that is good news!!

Finally have a date for my 12 week scan - 13th Oct, 3.20pm. Very, very, very excited already - I love scans - so wonderful to finally see that little life that is growing inside you - that little head, little legs, arms, fingers, toes - and that wondeful heartbeat - roll on Oct 13th.....

Right need to go and wake DD's up and give them lunch before nursery and work .... trudge ....trudge ...... trudge ........

Greengirlforever · 19/09/2006 15:40

We're very quiet for our usual standards today!

Can't add much excitement - my big news is that my ms seems finally to be fading, which is a bit annoying as now I have no more excuses to eat junk food non stop....

BUCKYFANS - WHERE ARE YOU AND IS EVERYTHING OK????

Any scan news today?

geordiemacminx · 19/09/2006 16:00

I was just thinking the same thing...

I puked this morning after a minging bowl of bran flakes... but apart from that I'm ok too!!

Weather up here in bonny scotland is rubbish, sort of day that makes you want to curl up on the sofa with a duvet.

Got a bit of back pain today, blame that mostly on the syupid chairs in my office.... nice bath and a massage is the order of the day!!

liath · 19/09/2006 16:17

Geordie - I'm in sunny Edinburgh! Stupidly went out without a coat today and got well and truly DRENCHED . Stupid weather!

Better go - dd yelling "nummy nummy NUMMY" at me so I get the hint that she's feeling peckinsh .

Wow it's so quiet on here today. Where is everyone?

Hope scan went well for those who had them today. Let us know how you got on.

My ms seems to have just about disappeared...or am I talking to soon. I still need to eat every 2-3 hours but don't feel sick now unless I don't eat regularly enough and i'm like that really when i'm not pregnant.

Hope everyone is ok

weeonion · 19/09/2006 21:34

very quite tonight! - we all having under the duvet evenings??

hope you are all ok..
sleep well
xo

CaptainDippy · 20/09/2006 07:33

I certainly was - soooo busy and sooooo tired in DippyLand - just posting in quickly before work!!

Still feeling tired, weird, sickie (man, so bored of posting the same things!!)

How did people's scans go?? Want news!!

Must go - "evils" from DH! (He doesn't understand, bless him!)

CornflakeKid · 20/09/2006 08:16

Morning folks - hope all okay

Couldn't get to sleep last night - brain in overdrive - very tired this morning and already running late!

Lots of people know am pg now - having to make sure have told friends before the gossip catches up with them (live in village!) But haven't told work yet - hoping there will be no overlap!

Have a nice day everyone

Vicki

liath · 20/09/2006 08:48

Knackered here, dd up at 5.30 - grrr! Never mind, lots of stuff to do today so that should keep me awake.

Have only told one person at work (manager) and as I only work one day a week I don't think anyone's guessed yet. Dh hasn't told his family, he wants to tell them in person when we go & stay next month.

Am definitely feeling less sick - fancied porridge this morning for the first time in weeks.

mammyjo · 20/09/2006 09:03

at all of you who are not feeling so sickly. I still feel sick all day and am still throwing up a couple of times a day too . Still hoping that it will all magically start to ease soon!
Hope everyone is ok, have a good day.
Bucky, hope you are ok.

bubblez · 20/09/2006 09:12

Hiya all,

Well had my scan at 9.20am yesterday, MW apt at 10am and booked all my other apts up to 28weeks. Little bean is no longer a bean but a formed little baby with little eyes, nose, mouth fingers, and toes and a strong heatbeat . Sonographer commented on what a wriggler baby was an gave us two quite clear piccys of him/her. MW took five tubes of blood weight/height etc and urine test shows that I still have a little bit of a urine infection although yet again I've been told to hold off taking antibiotics. Confused Have apt for 01/11 for bloods to detect downs and spinal abifida and to see consultant.

Peajay how did your scan go hun?

Bucky it's been ages any news?

How is everyone today? Does anyone else have a trapped wind in the chest feeling?? It feels as though I constantly need to burp but as soon as I swallow after a burp the feeling comes back.... weird huh?!?!

11+2

CornflakeKid · 20/09/2006 09:47

Great news Bubblez

Wow loads of blood - yuueeerrkk - think would have passed out!

Maybe they want you to not take antibiotics because you reacted to the amoxicillin.

Have 2 hours to myself - going to have a lovely bubble bath and chill out - watch spooks recorded sun/mon!

bubbaloo · 20/09/2006 09:54

Bubblez-That's great news on the scan and a definate yuk on the bloods.

We've also told nearly everyone now about the pregnancy-we were too excited to keep it a secret.

Anyone else having problems accessing the mumsnet boards? I can only seem to access the ones I'm on as I'm getting an error message. If I disappear for a few days at least you know why.

Bugmum · 20/09/2006 10:01

bubbaloo - it must be their end, as I'm having problems accessing it as well.

Haven't been posting, as nothing new to say. Still throwing up every morning but no longer feel sick all day, still getting ridiculously fat, still terribly tired. You know the drill...

bubbaloo · 20/09/2006 10:05

Well I'm glad(in the nicest possible way,of course!) that I'm not the only one having problems.I couldn't access the site yesterday for a little while and now I'm getting a strange Syntax error message-all a bit technical for me.
I've actually started to feel a bit iffy but haven't been sick,in the evenings now and I'm also starting to get a bit worried about the breathlessness I'm getting.Don't know if it's worth making an appointment to see my gp or midwife or whether to leave it til 17 weeks(when I'm due to see her again),if it's a common sympton.

geordiemacminx · 20/09/2006 10:15

Morning ladies; Hope you are all well.

Got some nice medicine the day before yesterday to boost my iron levels but unfortunatley cant seem to keep it down for more that about 30 seconds.. nice eh?

So pleased everyone else is having problems accessing... thought work had finally caught up with me being on here all day and had banned it

Greengirlforever · 20/09/2006 10:18

Me too Geordie! Cos when I'm not posting I'm lurking & nipping in and out all day when at work. Glad we're still getting away with it .

Today I have just posted on the older mums thread whingeing about how tired and old I feel, so you lot of whippersnappers may as well hear it too... Just want to escape out of my horrible little office and go back to bed for the rest of the day.

doobydoo · 20/09/2006 10:19

Great news about your scan bubblezFelt quite emotional for you.Hope we all have a good day today.
Weather over here is appalling i think its the tail end of a hurricane or something.Could hardly see through the rain taking ds to school and still people don't put their lights on and overtake

Greengirlforever · 20/09/2006 10:22

Ooops - I didn't notice the last few messages!

Bubblez - well done on your scan and your proper little baby! Are you the first of us with the 12-week scan? Can't wait for mine (but will have to, obviously.....)

Cornflakekid - I want your bath!!!

duchesse · 20/09/2006 10:48

Hello ladies, may I join you? Am 9 weeks with number 4 at present, due 25/4/07, but have had a heavy bleed in the last few days. Little embryo is still fine accoridng to the scan, but now surrounded by blood. Am crossing fingers.

geordiemacminx · 20/09/2006 10:49

Really pleased about your scan... I bet it was wonderful!!!!

Dooby where are you again... sounds like you arent far from me cos the weather is pish here too!!!

Could really do with a day at home under the duvet watching rubbish!!!

Greengirl.. I really wouldnt worry about your age.. I'm only 24 and am completely knackered at the moment and I only have myself to look after... I need to have a site down after climbing the 2 flights of stairs to get to my office... dont think its an age thing - just a pregnanacy think

bubbaloo · 20/09/2006 10:59

Just to "rub it in"-the weather is glorious here in sunny Essex.

Duchesse-Welcome aboard.Glad to hear your scan went well.Keeping everything crossed for you.x

EllieMayW · 20/09/2006 12:25

Morning everyone. Welcome Duchesse, hope everything continues to go well.

Bubblez, fab news re your scan! You have a real baby and everything! How exciting!

On the breathless/heart palpitation thing, I went to the Docs this morning just to get this all checked out. They have taken blood to test for anemia but to be honest the Dr seemed wholly unconcerned and in her best "Dr speaking in layman terms" speak basically said that my body was going through a crazy time trying to make a little person and it had a mad metabolism and was under pressure in all sorts of other ways and that breathlessness could be something about getting shot of excess carbon dioxide that I am creating. Basically normal.

I will wait for the blood test results but I am quite calm.

Feeling pretty good at the moment, the nearer I get to 12 weeks the happier I am. I think I am 9 1/2 weeks but my scan isn't until 26th Oct (i think 14 weeksish, I am still not certain about my dates)so ages to wait yet. I think I will look like a whale by then.

bubbaloo · 20/09/2006 12:45

Thanks Elliemay-I don't think I'll bother making an appointment to see my doc just for the breathlessness,if it's normal.I know I'm anamic anyway as I have b12 jabs every 3 months and I lots of tests done before I knew I was pg (due to the extreme tiredness)and they all came back ok.Let's hope it subsides shortly.

WestCountryLass · 20/09/2006 14:56

Does anyone know why you only feel better when you've eaten two Penguins and had a hot chocolate?

I am going to be the size of a house at this rate - eeek!
