Saraswati At the 12 week scan no matter what we did baby would't get in the right position to measure anything so I have to have it all again and then they might need to do an internal scan if that doesn't work.

Ok thats my train next so better go. Thanks of all the lovely message. x

Thanks for that link Mad!

Yay I'm happy because I've finally found a campsite for this weekend that is dog-friendly and allows campfires. Can't wait!

cheshirem2b · 17/07/2014 10:48

Kate we are off to the Isle of Man for the weekend - with a group from the cathedral here in Chester - singing over there for the weekend. Should be good fun if the thunder storms hold off! Eek!

KateTheHuman · 17/07/2014 11:02

Cheshire That sounds brilliant! I've never been to the Isle of Man! I'm off to london for two nights to see Monty Python.

phoebs88 · 17/07/2014 11:16

Vivi the thought of a hamster inside me is making me laugh (and freak out in equal measures)!!

Feel like I have flu today. Not a happy bunny!

Saraswati · 17/07/2014 11:30

ah ok good luck mummy!

You've all got lovely weekend plans, hope you enjoy yourselves. I've got lunch with friends then the local real ale and jazz festival, not so great for a preggo, but my friends are staying and it should be a laugh.

I've just bought one of those children's anthologies of roman and greek myths and legends (I'm a professional nerd) so now the baby can hear me and DH can start reading it a little myth every night (or when we remember) and I hope to continue that when its born, although then i might start on the homer and virgil :)

Love the thought of a hamster scurrying around inside me! they should measure the pregnancy in small animals rather than fruits, much more fun. I wonder when it'll be a guinea pig?!

Keepontrudging · 17/07/2014 11:44

Oh no Cheshire what an inconsiderate lady. Just hibernate in your office!
Good luck mummy x

ViviPru · 17/07/2014 11:48

I thought that about the small animals - that it's more interesting than fruit and veg.... I have a feeling though that 'hamster' is going to stick for the duration now for the as-yet untitled Prulet....

KateTheHuman · 17/07/2014 12:11

Hammy the hamster. I agree about the small animal measurements!

I just tried to google other stuff that would be an average of 4.6in. Umm...yeah..i didn't wanna google that! hahaha! Blush

Dec2013mummy · 17/07/2014 14:08

Hello all :) good luck mummy for today.

Hamster, now that is not a way I have heard it described before. Made me Grin.

So my day so far, Ds went for his nap and I scurried around the house sorting washing and having a bit of a tidy up as we have a viewing later (this house selling is driving me mad now) even more so because we've sold it rice already for them to back out because they couldn't get a mortgage!! Grrrrrr! Then I had to pop to town, so once Ds was up I have him lunch got him changed, then had to change him again, put all the rubbish out, got his bag ready to go out etc. popped something into my friends and went to town, pull up in the parking space and Ds falls asleep!! I was starving, so just had to have a Maccys and I am now sat in the carpal wondering what to do as if I get him out of the car he will wake up (he is too nosey to sleep when out)! Don't want to wake him as the better he sleeps in the day, the better he is at night! The joys of being a mummy. My moto ladies, be well organised and have a plan, but be prepared for it to change, change and then change again.

On another note... Anyone else stupidly exhausted, I was so bad earlier I felt like a zombie and actually had to tell myself how to walk!!

Loobyloo893 · 17/07/2014 15:40

Grin Kate. Hmmm 4.6in....

We got our nifty results back today. All low risk. So relieved! And found out we're having another boy! GrinGrinGrin (Can you tell I'm a little excited?! Lol)

cheshirem2b · 17/07/2014 16:07

Dec doesn't sound like a fun day! Hope it improves for you!

Looby congrats! It's blue!

KatnissEvermean · 17/07/2014 16:20

Congratulations Looby.

I am a big fan of this small animal measuring system.

I've suddenly developed really dry skin. This whole pregnancy things just keeps getting more glamorous. I have proper lizard legs!

Saraswati · 17/07/2014 16:36

Katniss me too! Although I have eczema so have always been a bit reptillian. I use organic raw shea butter (i get it from fushi online), much better than E45 and any of that other chemical rubbish and its cheap. Also try a bath with coconut oil in, smells really good too! I've been using the shea butter along with welelda strectch mark oil on the bump, hoping it'll keep the stretch marks at bay!

Saraswati · 17/07/2014 16:37

forgot to say - congrats looby another lovely boy :) how old is your DS?

Loobyloo893 · 17/07/2014 16:46

Thanks ladies. Sara, DS is 2 1/2. Baby is due a month before his third birthday.

ViviPru · 17/07/2014 17:10

Congrats Looby! Ooh it's giving me tingles people on our thread finding out the sex! It's all becoming very real!

KatnissEvermean · 17/07/2014 17:11

Thanks Sara, I've just looked at the Fushi website and going to order some!

Minibagel · 17/07/2014 17:15

Minibagel · 17/07/2014 17:16

Sara thanks for heads up on the eczema treatment - I a Deffo going to order some of the Shea butter- I am most definitely a reptilian too. I do use coconut oil though which is fab. I like to try out differwnt lotions and potions :)

I also get free prescriptions for Florence and use her diprobaase with her. (Perk of having a child, hehe)

E45 isn't fab though, I agree...

mummyk8 · 17/07/2014 18:58

Hello all! Only just got home. Everything was running late at the hospital and then they got my bloods wrong and had to do them all over again. T scan lasted about 5 mins and they wouldn't even do photos as she said thats only for the 12 and 20 week scans. Oh well! Any how all was well and healthy with baby who was waving for the camera and doing head stands etc.... all very cute. Cried after the scan as seeing him/her again has made me feel even more heartbroken at the risks attached to my op on Monday. Trying to stay positive.

Oh and also they weighed me at the hospital and it worked out that I had put on 14kg since I was weighed at the Dr's for my booking in appointment. Thats over 2stone in a month - WHAT??? Simply can not be right! I think that one of the sets of scales must be off. I'll have to start weighing myself at home again.

Hope you all had great days.
