KateTheHuman · 14/07/2014 07:10

blizy · 14/07/2014 07:38

Good luck pheobs!

blizy · 14/07/2014 07:39

Scoobsmam13 · 14/07/2014 07:42

Good Morning and Good Luck scan peeps!

Sara I've got my booking in appointment on Wednesday!! Lol, I'll be 15+5. However my m/w said she will be weighing me at every appointment when we spoke on the phone a few weeks ago.......But that may just be because I put on so much last time!

Minibagel · 14/07/2014 07:44

sara I didn't get weighed again until 34w with ds1. Maybe they should have, the amount I plonked on!

Good luck for the scans phoebs blizy and looby, come back asap and update us :)

14+1 today

cheshirem2b · 14/07/2014 08:10

Good luck with scans today!

Off to work after a long nights sleep but the dreams! Vivid random dreams! Nothing exciting like others dreams but still.

My mw apt is next Tuesday when I'll be 16+5. Between now and then I've got 4 days in work and a weekend away!

For today though... 15+4

KateTheHuman · 14/07/2014 08:36

I've decided today I don't want anyone to talk to me. People saying good morning at work. Pah! Sod off! I'm tired and in a mood today. Whenever the phone goes (I'm a receptionist) I just wanna ignore it or hang up on them. It's gonna be one of those day today Angry

Wishing everyone with scans today the best of luck.

I have my quad blood tests and a scan on Thursday and although I'm 99% sure I can feel baby wriggling around and have seen him/her 3 times I don't think you ever stop worrying about hearing bad news at the scan.

My 16wk appointment isn't until the 28th but was assured at my booking in appointment they will only weigh me the one time.

CallingAllEngels · 14/07/2014 09:14

sara they didn't weigh me but I hopped on the scales myself to see how much weight I've put on (half a kilo so far!) but I'm not in the UK.

Loobyloo893 · 14/07/2014 09:59

Scan was lovely. Baby was doing a headstand and then kept wriggling around. But they managed to get all the measurements and I've been brought forward another 5 days so now due 14th jan instead of original date of 22nd!
DS pointed at screen and said "look! A crocodile!" He's going to be confused when a baby comes out Grin

Oh what wonderful news Looby :)

littlecat123 · 14/07/2014 10:08

Aww that scan sounds lovely looby I've also been the same as you with my love for sour. Had a day out in Whitby on Saturday spent most of my time searching the sweet shops for sour sweets, awkwardly picking the lime out of my drink to chew on and the lemon off my fish and chips. Much to DP's disgust haha.

Good luck everyone else with their scans! And thanks for reminding me about 16 week appointment I would have never remembered!

Saraswati · 14/07/2014 10:25

aw lovely news looby!

I'm still about half a stone down on my booking in weight and i think i should have put that back on and more by now so I'm worried now about my appointment tomorrow. I'm pissed off because I said this to my friend and she said i was being smug! i said i'd rather have put on 5 stone by now than have been as ill as i have. She's trying to lose her baby weight now, she piled on about 5 stone while pregnant but thats not my fault. She wasn't sick at all and just doesn't understand, she told me to try peppermint tea and I wanted to throw something at her head Angry

Nyancat · 14/07/2014 10:26

hi all, been lurking again for a while whilst vomiting in the background. had scan last week and all went well, just one in there and keeping fingers crossed this one is like the scan as it was just chilling out, wee wave. bit different to dd who was bopping about like a mad thing and has continued to do the same from the minute she was born!! still suffering from nausea and vomming 24/7 despite cyclizine and now 14+3. any tips on how to cope with this and toddler, dh has been working long days and weekends for the last three weeks and I've been on my own with dd, really struggling and hanging over toilet a lot and travelling everywhere with plastic bags for when I can't contain it anymore Sad

KateTheHuman · 14/07/2014 10:36

Yay brilliant scan news looby!

Saraswati · 14/07/2014 10:42

oh nyancat you poor thing! Could you go back to the gp and ask for something different? There are a few different drugs they can give you, luckily cyclizine sort of worked for me so i stuck with it, but there are others. If its not working you should try something else. Check out the hyperemesis thread as well, they were very helpful in my worst moments.

I'm still being sick but it has eased quite a lot in the last week or two and i'm 16+3 now so i hope yours eases soon too. I don't know how you are carrying on with another child to look after! I can barely get up and go to work most days (this is DC1 for me)

phoebs88 · 14/07/2014 11:02

Positive scan news here too Smile

It still feels a bit surreal, like how can that baby actually be inside me? EDD pushed forward a little bit, 5 days. Measuring at 13+4 with EDD of 15th Jan.

Baby seemed v chilled, just a few wiggles! Waiting for downs results back, but NT was 1.4 so feeling fairly relaxed at the moment.

Now back to work...

Nyancat · 14/07/2014 11:09

I really should but it's at least a two week wait to see gp at our practice and that's not even to get one of your choice. I managed to get great gp first time who gave me cyclizine. when I went for further appt to get referred to hospital for antenatal the second dr (young male locum - not that it should make a difference) was very dismissive and reluctant to renew my prescription. he commented it was par for the course and head down and power through. it's put me off going again (and I keep hoping it'll start to ease). dh is hospital dr, works in paeds icu so fairly unsympathetic as he deals with incredibly sick children all day so ms shouldnt be that big a deal. I feel awful complaining because I know in the scheme of things he's totally right. glad to hear yours has eased a bit! I was bad with dd too and it's not easy when it's your first either!

CallingAllEngels · 14/07/2014 11:50

What an arsehole of a doctor (and sounds like your dh is not very sympathetic either). Definitely go back. Maybe in person with a sick bowl and dd in tow to let them see you mean business (it took me fainting a few weeks ago to make my work understand that when I said they were asking too much of me, I bloody meant it!).

I hate this, "You're not ill, you're pg!" bollocks. Some people really are VERY ill!

saras lob away! I was really lucky this time not to get any real ms. Last time I lost weight in the 1st trimester and it was only at this point (16w ) that I actually started to put weight back on. Sometimes people don't understand the effect their words have (especially when speaking to a pg woman...she should remember what it's like!). My dsis is a size 6 and gets lots of comments about how lucky she is. Well, she is very lacking in energy and stamina when it comes to exercise, can't seem to, put on any weight and has potential fertility issues which may be linked to her weight.

CallingAllEngels · 14/07/2014 11:51

Lovely to hear the good scan news.
