linda my nt was 2.0 and with ds1 it was 3.25. My scan was wed this week and I haven't heard anything so far so assuming all is fine. As others have said, its such a combo of factors that the nt is only a part of it. What was your dc's?

Minibagel · 04/07/2014 18:55

Woops forgot again

12+5 (woop!)

KatnissEvermean · 04/07/2014 18:57

Thanks Pru. It's amazing isn't it, Altered and Sara?! Happy to be on this bus and sharing it all with lovely people.

Try not to worry too much linda, fingers crossed for you.

lindamagoo · 04/07/2014 19:01

Thank you everyone, I'm trying not to worry but it is hard. Keep your post hasn't worried me huni, it was you I was thinking about after my scan yesterday. Even if it was to come back high risk I wouldn't take any further tests because it wouldn't change the outcome Smile

KeepOnPloddingOn · 04/07/2014 19:09

Oh good Linda :)

I am taking the further tests as I need to know in order to prepare myself (and our wee family) if it is downs. I am a control freak like that! I totally understand why you wouldn't though :) i am sure it won't come to that for you and if it did it isn't as scary (ime) as you would think. I have gotten to a point of acceptance now- what will be will be :D ... I just HAVE I know either way, haha!

lindamagoo · 04/07/2014 19:18

If I get high risk I'll prepare the kids just incase but I just don't think I'm brave enough for the other tests but theres every chance I could change my mind if I got the high results. Only time and fate will tell I guess. I think you have been very strong through all of this Keep, a true inspiration Smile

KeepOnPloddingOn · 04/07/2014 19:52

Linda- I must admit I am dithering now as to wether to have a cvs. But the fear of underlying stress affecting this pregnancy is making me think It is a chance I have to take. I have heard and read the risk of a cvs is even smaller than the reported 0.5/1in 100- especially nowadays.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 04/07/2014 19:54

I may compromise and wait until I am 15 weeks and have an amnio which is an even smaller risk and more common. The thought of waiting that long worries me though. I dunno.

lindamagoo · 04/07/2014 20:03

It's a really tough call eh? I said all a long I wouldn't even get the nt done but changed my mind at the scan so who knows what I'll end up doing

RPopz · 04/07/2014 21:16

My jeans officially don't fit anymore... I am strangely pleased by this fact! Grin

Minibagel · 04/07/2014 21:31

How are we nearly at the end of another thread? We havent all had our 12w scans yet!

Camsie30 · 04/07/2014 21:39

RPopz it's kinda fun isn't it?! I'm not telling work for another two weeks and am really struggling to hide it. My stomach is fairly normal in the morning but huge by the end of the day! Anyone else??

MightyQuin1201 · 04/07/2014 21:44

My stomach is enormous by the end of the day! I've been wearing wrap dresses which need loosening as the day progresses... Trousers & jeans don't work too well now...

10+6

RPopz · 04/07/2014 22:05

Same Camsie!! I am approx 200% more pregnant on an evening for some reason! Confused

RPopz · 04/07/2014 22:06

Had to hold my jeans together with a hair bobble to go to shops earlier... Grin

Bugaboom · 05/07/2014 06:28

Arghh! DS has been up.since 4.45am! Beyond tired this morning. Real struggle with clothes here too. I recommend getting a bump band then you can use your normal clothes a bit longer.

I think there's going to be a lot of cbeebies on here this morning...

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/07/2014 06:50

Bugaboom- cbeebies is my friend ;)

So I weighed myself and I have gained about 6/7 pound. I 13 + 2 ... Is this good? With dd I gained FIVE stone in total!! What is everyone else gaining, if you don't mind me asking? I am eating a lot lately- no excuses, but a lot of it is comfort eating - when stressed / worried I do hit the biscuit tin ;) plus I have been feeling so sick I need to eat to keep it at bay.

lindamagoo · 05/07/2014 07:56

Keep I've gained about 8|9 lbs and I'm only 12 + 6. I gained 5 stone in my 1st and almost the same in my 2nd, hope its not the same this time

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/07/2014 08:02

Linda- oh glad it wasn't just me :) fingers x we don't this time. I am very active and way healthily- I just happen to eat loads of carbs / choc too hehe

j200 · 05/07/2014 08:04

Come and join my healthy eating/exercise thread in pregnancy! I have been eating too much rubbish recently and feel gross! Going to start eating healthily and exercising daily from today as my thighs have expanded more than my tum!!

13+4

RPopz · 05/07/2014 08:08

I think I'd only gained about 2 or 3 pounds between booking in and the 12 week scan (surprised me, I feel like a whale!!) but am definitely guilty of hitting the biscuit tin... they're just so convenient for keeping hunger and sickiness at bay!

j200 · 05/07/2014 08:12

I have only gained a few pounds too but I have a small frame so very evident. I think I have also lost muscle and gained fat Shock Pilates here I come- ordered a 10min solution DVD off amazon that seems quite good

Minibagel · 05/07/2014 08:18

I dread to think. I glanced at the scales at the 12w scan but it was in kg which means nothing to me. I am going to eat healthily once I can actually face food again.

Saraswati · 05/07/2014 08:18

Morning all!

keepon I think that's normal weight gain for this stage isn't it? I'm still a few pounds down on my booking in weight but I've been so sick it doesn't surprise me. DH is challenging me to put on a pound a week from now on as I haven't been sick for a couple of days so I'm hoping this is the start of feeling better. I am accepting the challenge!! I'm aiming to gain about 2 to 2.5 stone in total.

Off to my first preggo yoga this morning (was going to start last week but was puking). I'm nervous as I haven't done a jot of exercise since my bfp, why usually I go to yoga 4 times a week, I know I'll be so disappointed in my body but I'm excited to start my first pregnancy class!

Saraswati · 05/07/2014 08:19

Oh forgot 15+1 today :)
