That's so lovely madem thank you. I have been thinking about you lots, I think this phrase is good "you never know how strong you are, until being strong is all you've got to get through". But please remember it's ok to crumble and cry too. We are all here for you during this awful unknowing time, you too keep.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 29/06/2014 15:37

Thanks blizy..as madem pointed out to me, we are the folks who happen to take one for the jan team. Thanks to statistics, someone has to. I would never have though it would be of I am honest. Fingers x all goes well tomorrow for us both.

MademoiselleG · 29/06/2014 16:07

Well let's hope we definitely have taken one for the team and that it'll only be positive news from now on - we bloody need them!!
Thank you all for your support. Today I am pregnant and today, my baby is alive and doesn't suffer.
Tomorrow is another day.Thanks

Minibagel · 29/06/2014 16:54

I've been away but thinking of all you January mamas.

Sorry to hear there is one less of us on this bus.

Hear hear mademoiselle I hope it is good news from hereon in.

Really enjoying that womanly art of bf book mad, think I might have to get Dh to read it too, as bf on demand is the opposite of what we did with ds1, he had a routine from week1! I think that might have been part of the issue with his fussiness at feeds.

Tired... Just got in from work... Going to murder DH though! He's been sat on his computer all evening! The washing still on the line (I asked him to bring it inside), bed hasn't been made, no food cooked, dishes not done and he's had beer! Grrrrr! I'm sat on the bed now after telling him "things need to change" and "when baby is here it won't wait until he's ready for feeds" etc! We are both sulking now I think but I know he'll come in to the bedroom with "sad eyes" and make me feel guilty for shouting at him!

Ikkleme · 29/06/2014 22:35

For all you allergy/ hay fever sufferers I've just bought prevalin it's a nasal spray suitable for.... PREGNANT AND BF WOMEN! About time there's something for decongestion! Since my virus or what ever I had earlier in week I have been so snotty! Sorry if tmi but sleep is terrible, I have also suffered post nasal drip in the past and feel like I may have it again, let's home this stuff can clear it as sudefed did last time Smile

fancyacupoftea · 29/06/2014 22:39

I'd like to read the fb book but I worry that if I get too into the idea of bf and then something goes wrong or I really struggle (which so I've heard happens to a lot of people) then I might be too scared to go onto formula. Even though, if bf isn't working, it's the best choice for baby anyway. I'm waffling but what I want to say is that I worry I'll be too hard on myself. Does anyone else feel that?

Cheshire- naughty hubby!

Fancy- I am like you about the book, but think I am gonna go and order it and hope for the best!

Have my cvs diagnostic today. 4pm. Thankfully have a busy day meeting friends etc. I have woken today with this strong feeling it is going to come back Down's syndrome. I am excited to see my baby on the ultra sound again, not quite so excited about the needle haha.

Saraswati · 30/06/2014 06:56

Good luck today keepon Thanks

madem when is your repeat scan? Thinking of you both.

I bought a dream genii yesterday and I bloody love it. Slept like a log, it felt like it was hugging me :) had a lovely day shopping with DH even sneaked a look around the baby department in john lewis :)

Can't believe it's Monday again already :( 14+3

Loobyloo893 · 30/06/2014 07:03

Madem, do you have your scan today as well? If so good luck to you too xx

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 07:08

Good luck today keepon and mademoiselle xx

KeepOnPloddingOn · 30/06/2014 07:10

Fingers x for you to madem. X

LMSunshine · 30/06/2014 07:16

Madam and keepon I will be thinking of you both today, good luck and I have truly been touched by your courage and strength. I have everything crossed for you both.

As for breast feeding, my little one shuffled up and latched straight away from birth, but as I had read so often about how hard it was I took her of thinking she must have been latched wrong. I Relaxed and she did it again and I left her there and that was that until i discovered her first tooth had come, so we needed to change the latch a bit! Sometimes it can be like that and just wanted to share.

My best friend struggled and the guilt she had really affected her. When out I asked her to point at the kids who had been breast fed and obviously she couldn't and this helped her to turn a corner.

Sending positive vibes to everyone who has their 12 week scan today Smile

rumisyum · 30/06/2014 07:24

Morning ladies.

Keepon & Mademoiselle, do you both have your scans today? Good luck! Thinking of you lots over here.

And good luck for everyone else having scans today! 2 days till mine... eeeeeep.

Cheshire I'd have killed my DH for that! Did you guys make up alright in the end? I hope he's learnt his lesson.

Top tip ikkle, thanks.

I had the most awesomely productive day yesterday - went swimming, tidied/dusted/hoovered the house, changed the bedsheets (why does my DH never think to do this?!), cleaned the bathroom, did the laundry, and didn't even need a nap once! Grin I haven't done any of that for weeks. I'm hoping this means I'm on the way out of 1st trimester misery, and not that I'll crash & burn with exhaustion mid-afternoon. Hmm

11+5

Camsie30 · 30/06/2014 07:27
