Yup it's the 20wk one but apparently now they have cancelled that and booked me in for a fetal ECG scan a week later. I was originally told I'd get my normal anomaly scan plus the fetal ECG 2 weeks later. Now I'm just grumpy.

Mmmm McDonalds! I really fancy a Big Mac meal! But I'm already cooking

Emotional day. Beautiful funeral service for my Grandad, his Scottish pipe band (he was a proud bagpiper) played as everyone walked in. Shame that two sides of the family couldn't stop sniping at each other; had hoped people would set aside their differences for one day at least.

Got home to two letters; one from the maternity department with a dating scan for the 6th August, and one from the NHS that just says 'ultrasound scan' for 19th August.

Colour me confused? Could this be because I'm under consultant care? Or is my belly so alluring they all want to touch it?! ;)

Poly that sucks, why have they cancelled it?

OH made a pizza for dinner, he took one bite and decided he didn't want it leaving/forcing me to eat it all was bloody good though. And the sweetheart that he is has just ordered me some next maternity clothes

I don't really know Linda the letter reads "you original scan on 22/7 has been cancelled in order to move it to the Fetal Medicine Department". But like I said I thought I was going to be seen in both departments, it's just a bit disappointing.

Fox I'm so glad your Grandad got a lovely send off, bloody families though, nothing is ever simple. Hope you're feeling ok

Just had pasta for dinner (DH made it). It was gorgeous and we're both still hungry. I want pizza for pudding!!!

No idea about the second scan Frenetic. Give them a call tomorrow and ask! Try and forget the family sniping and think about the nice parts of the day for your Grandad.

Anyway, since I am hear taking over with my silly posts, I have a tale of vast stupidity for you if you want a laugh today! I am not sure I want to admit this... Anyway, I had thrush last week so gp gave me stuff to sort it and cream to use for another week. Except I have deep heat by my bed as well still... I picked up the tube of 'cream' this morning after my shower and having out it on, discovered I had actually put deep heat on my lady bits instead of the cream for thrush! Talk about burning... What an idiot!

I wish I could Barmy - it's a deadline for an extra contract thing so has to be done today.

Don't worry though - I had chips for pudding.

Oooooow Barmy ! My DH made me a fish finger sandwich once but had deep heat on his hands when he made it! One of the worst experiences of my life. I didn't eat another fish finger sandwich for years after that

I can also remember getting 'chilli eye' once after cing chillies, washing my hands several times but then getting something in my eye...thinking I was safe, I rubbed my eye and instantly regretted it! Took a good half hour to stop the burning feeling in my eye.

When I was a little girl my big brother told me to pick up a chilli seed on my finger tip then got me to put it in my eye. This literally just came back to me I'm going to kill him when I see him!
