I shall let you know. I wish I didn't have to go to work before and after, I'm feeling sick with anxiety.

I was thinking yesterday (dangerous I know), do you think when/if we do set up a private penis dragon facebook group that instead of posting photos of our scans and new babies, we'll be posting photos of what we had for dinner?

PolytheneGirl · 23/06/2014 09:09

Food porn will be a compulsory condition of membership!

Good luck again Mlle and Fox I'll be keeping my fx for you all day.

Threnody · 23/06/2014 09:10

Good luck with your scans Mademoiselle and frenetic!

Brilliant scan pic, toots!

Went to visit FIL yesterday, stuffed myself with roast dinner, then felt absolutely exhausted! DH couldn't wait, and ended up telling him - cue lots of advice on how to change nappies - bit early to be worrying about that yet! Also, apparently he thought something was different about me - could have been the nodding off and the several thousand trips to the loo!

Feels odd, as we weren't going to tell anyone until first scan, but it does mean I get to tell my parents next week Grin (hoping they won't be put out they didn't hear first!).

fancyacupoftea · 23/06/2014 09:39

Step away from the January thread Mademoiselle!!

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 10:21

Woah!! I saw a 1.8mm heartbeat flickering inside me! I'm not as far along as I thought, was estimated at around 6 weeks, rather than 7. I got a bit upset at that, just because I'm so tired of feeling nauseated. On the bright side the midwife I spoke to afterwards urged me to call my GP who was happy to prescribe me something to take the edge off during the day.

Feeling a lot better about things now, that's for sure! DH was so in awe he sent a text to his Mum pretty much straight away, bless him.

Zermatt · 23/06/2014 10:39

Brilliant Fox so glad to hear it all went well and you saw the heartbeat, the fact that they've been able to give you something to help with the nausea is ace too.

MademoiselleG · 23/06/2014 11:37

On my way to the scan now with butterflies of fear and excitement in my stomach. Thank you all for your kind words and handholding! Thanks

MademoiselleG · 23/06/2014 11:40

Sorry fox, didn't update thread: fab news!! Several of us had our dates changed (put back) at early scans then changed again. It is annoying as the wait feels so long already, doesn't it? Hopefully the meds will work.

CallingAllEngels · 23/06/2014 11:49

Great news fox !

I have just scoffed a few slices of posh bread with goats cheese spread followed by a doughnut with orange icing (doing my patriotic bit to help the Dutch team along this evening!).

Bloody exhausted though. Bambi is babysitting while I lie down for a snooze.

toots123 · 23/06/2014 12:27

Amazing news fox!!

Yes zermatt, we will have to! When we moving to Facebook? :)

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 12:47

My GP was so wonderful when I was explaining about my phobia (and got quite upset, daft me). She prescribed Prochlaperezine (sp?); I'm resisting DR Google, but she assured me it's quite safe and a lot of women find it effective for taking the edge off the nausea!

Good like mmeG, keep us posted!

bellaboo88 · 23/06/2014 13:11

Fox that's great news! Don't suppose they told you measurement of the sac? Just trying to gauge where I am in relation. You can imagine how I felt last Thurs when I was 6-4 & they said less than 5 weeks! Xx

Zermatt · 23/06/2014 13:17

Good article I thought...

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/jun/22/having-a-baby-will-simplify-your-life

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 13:18

Yes, I was most surprised! They didn't give me a measurement for the sac, just the CRL - which I've just realised is crown to rump rather than the heart. That's SO SMALL. Mind blown.

It's frustrating for sure; the dates being a bit haphazard, especially since I had comforted myself with thoughts that I only potentially had another 5 weeks of sickness left!

fancyacupoftea · 23/06/2014 13:45

1.8mm is very small... Are you sure it wasn't 1.8cm? Amazing news though! V v happy for you.

Mademoiselle what has happened with yours? I'm worried by the lack of update...

freneticfox · 23/06/2014 13:58

The printout they gave me was "CRL 1.8mm approximate"; Didn't think to question it, first DC, so am rather clueless with that! Is that abnormal for 6w?

Spotti · 23/06/2014 14:12

When does this tiredness end?! I feel like I'm wasting my life being asleep at the minute! >yawn< Went for a nap at 10am and didn't wake up until 1.30...what's that about? (would still happily be asleep now if I didn't have a zillion other things to do today).

5+4 today and time is going sloooooooooowly!

On a less selfish note, yay for the scan frenetic, and I'll keep checking in to see the update on how yours went mademoiselleG.

Right, so, work to do... >props eyes open with match sticks
