GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

I wish I could be bothered! Napping instead Grin and after finally pruning the wild and unruly lady garden, I'm hoping DH will take care of that later!

Now, fancy GO AND DO SOME WORK!! ignores own work and misses point completely

fancyacupoftea · 21/06/2014 13:19

I have been doing work but just been going through a bunch of baby photos of me and DH that we have for some reason. In conclusion, we will have a very facially expressive chubby, blonde, blue eyed baby. With a bowl cut.

Oh crap I have to do my lady forest garden as might be swimming later. It'll block the plughole.

MundayCakes85 · 21/06/2014 13:25

Naughty Fancy Aren't you meant to be a busy bee today?!
Given DH a to do list, instead he's gone to get his hair cut Hmm

MademoiselleG · 21/06/2014 13:28

Ha, I did the long overdue lady jungle tending earlier today. Dh accidentally walked in on me, apologised, then realised what I was doing and I could hear him breathe an actual sigh of relief ...

RetroHippy · 21/06/2014 13:28

That's the only reason I did mine fancy. I'm shit at swimming anyway, I need to lose anything that ups the water resistance Grin

And it did block the plug hole Blush

Viperama · 21/06/2014 13:32

Thanks Fancy x

toots123 · 21/06/2014 13:47

You guys rock! Making me laugh while sitting in traffic! :)

they dates me at 8+6 but im 9+3. And mw thinks im 10+3!! So who fucking knows. Noone has a clue really. I know my 12 week scan will be more accurate

PolytheneGirl · 21/06/2014 15:27

I just opened my fridge and a jar of olives fell out and smashed. I don't even know where to start?! SadConfusedSad

PolytheneGirl · 21/06/2014 15:29

Congratulations TootsGrin

Spotti · 21/06/2014 15:38

Why did we decide to have everyone round for a BBQ this evening? Spent a few hours yesterday prepping the food and we've just had to spend all afternoon tidying up so that people won't know that we're tramps!

Pffft.

Feeling rubbish today too. I think the random-time-of-day sickness is trying to elbow it's way in [sicky face]. Bleurgh. Had a few hour nap earlier and I'm STILL tired.

Bah.

(At least I get to eat bbq'd food don't tell me I've gone off that too!)

Sat having a sulky cry on the bed and I don't even know why. DH just told me off for being bossy so I said he should cut me a bit of slack. He said he had been doing so I pointed out it might be a good idea to keep it up then.

Got friends coming over at 4 (DH invited at short notice) so he's been out all morning, then came home and turned into mr fucking obsessive cleaner which he never normally does. His birthday present from my mum just arrived and I want him to open it so I can send mum a picture as she knows it's here and he won't because he's too busy mowing the fucking lawn. So then I feel guilty and end up cleaning the bathroom and hurt my arm on the door catch. Fucker. I should ltb shouldn't I?

Somebody hand me a grip.

MademoiselleG · 21/06/2014 16:14

That sounds rubbish retro - sorry, no grip available, here's a big hug instead! [biiiiiig huuuuuug]
Boys can be quite insensitive and totally unaware of how hurtful they can be to us and our overflowing hormones. I hope that at least you have a nice time with the friends coming over?
Sorry I'm not particularly helpful. This is the first time since bfp that dh and I are NOT arguing at the we: a rare occurrence and am therefore not in the best place to advise!...

MundayCakes85 · 21/06/2014 16:16

If any of you live near me- yes I am the crazy pregnant lady who just carried a bucket of snails around to the park to release them!
In my defence the heat does send people slightly mad Grin Confused Grin

toots123 · 21/06/2014 16:51

Hope this works! Tiniest little bean!

bellaboo88 · 21/06/2014 18:30

Aww ace toots!!

Retro, I now understand what you mean. Just come home, dp & fil done decking (he chose stain so dreading it as his old house had red whereas I prefer pale straw colour) but thankfully he did good. His mum pulled out weeds & mowed the lawn, fab...until I realised she had pulled out all my new plants. Cried, upended brown bin & sorted everything I could salvage. Cried again because I couldn't use a shovel to put it back in. Sobbed my heart out, its only a few quite worth but its MY garden. The world had ended & sobbed again when I realised Morrison's plant centre would be closed.

I love my decking tho! Bah hormones! Xx

PolytheneGirl · 21/06/2014 21:00

My cat has just stolen my tuna! I cannot tell you the outpouring of emotion this has caused. Today is one of those days I wish I could have just slept all day Sad

RetroHippy · 22/06/2014 00:57

bella, I'm totally with you on the plants thing. I'd be so upset. Hope you managed to salvage a few at least. And the really annoying thing is that you can't be mad because she was trying to help Sad

I did end up having a lovely evening with our friends. I pulled myself together, bunged on some mascara and found a frock that made me look really pregnant Smile. Went to a local cricket club for race night, I won two bottles of wine Grin typical! DH is still up drinking, he's absolutely wankered, but very happy with it, bless him.

Hopefully I won't feel quite so emotional tomorrow.

toots, that is the cutest little bean pic Smile

Zermatt · 22/06/2014 06:21

Yay great news toots and fab pic.

I've been having quite bad mood swings Retro sometimes justified by the infuriation that is my husband, other times completely unjustified and quite inexplicable. Men can be very annoying when you're pregnant, (so too can inanimate objects, TV adverts, the lady you sit next to at work, the bus conductor, random people in the supermarket etc.) Glad you managed to still have a good evening.

I am really starting to feel a bit better now, 13 wks + 2 days. I even did an exercise DVD this morning, has anyone else bought any of these that they could recommend? I'd like to buy a few so they don't get boring.

Roasting a pork for dinner, with roast potatoes, red wine gravy, baked apples, sprouts with pancetta (just to sneak in some extra pork with my pork), and carrots! House smells lush.

MademoiselleG · 22/06/2014 08:13

Roasting a whole pork?Shock Very jealous of your dinner (and it's only breakfast time here) - can I swing by?

Don't talk to fancy about exercise DVDs...! I bought a couple last time round, one yoga, one cardio. Used each twice! I'm hoping to be less lazy this time because I developed terrible back problems, partly because dd was back to back and partly because of a total lack if core muscles around stomach/back area...whoops!

Glad things settled down retro !

fancyacupoftea · 22/06/2014 09:31

PORK!!!!!!

No don't get that exercise DVD that I have. Is it Suzanne Bowen? I hate it. I told my gran yesterday - she's over the moon but said straight away "Exercise!" and said I should walk for 30 mins each day. She has a point.

I might go baby shopping today and look for maternity clothes but no idea where to start!

RetroHippy · 22/06/2014 09:32

Morning all Smile

Sat on the sun lounger in my garden with a mug of minty tea. Our friends stayed over, so they and DH are all still sleeping off the hangovers. I must admit, I do feel a little smug.

We've got the biggest fried breakfast to look forward to; sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes. I may even fry the bread! Just thought I'd extend our food talk to Sunday morning too Wink

I am starting to not fancy food much though. I'm eating, but then feeling bloated and yuk after it, and there's nothing I really want. I kind of want some cravings so at least I really enjoy something.

It was really nice last night to just enjoy being preggers. Friends know, and there was noone else at the cricket club that knew DH and I we'll enough to give it a second thought. I could rub my belly at my leisure Grin

RetroHippy · 22/06/2014 09:39

Ooh fancy, speaking of shopping, my mum is getting me a nursing chair, second hand from eBay, but there's loads to choose from and she wants to know which to get. So today we're going to the Mamas n Papas outlet to sit in them Grin

First venture into a baby shop since my bfp and I'm way to excited at the prospect of being surrounded by baby things Grin

toots123 · 22/06/2014 10:01

Exciting going shopping fancy I need clothes already but might opt for 2 sizes bigger as im not yet big enough for maternity stuff. Saying that, give it two weeks eh! I fancy some nice skinny jeans and top shop had nice pale pink maternity chinos which I might order!!

im excited for my lunch. Chicken salad with lots of beetroot and coleslaw. Sad but I cant wait. And a warm pita on the side. Yum!

happy sunday! Im finally packing away my wedding dress in a box (been married for more than ten months haha)

Zermatt · 22/06/2014 10:07

Yes melleG a whole pig on a spit, complete with an apple in its gob :)

(I wish just a small shoulder joint) crackling came out wunderbar. Mmm crackling. Have left over meat, what can I do with it that's safe for preggos? Can't have it in sarnies tomorrow can I? Could I stick it in another dish tomorrow if I heat it up?

Your English brekkie sounds devine retro nom nom.

I have Cerys Matthews on 6music on, and my dinners nearly ready, pottering in the kitchen, all that's missing is a MASSIVE glass of red wine
:( first time I've felt like I wanted one since BFP.

Fancy I've been scouring the online shops for maternity clothes. Newlook, Dorothy P, Top Shop, H&M and Next all do quite good collections, my ASOS order arrived last week, have to send half of it back as got sizes wrong. The stuff I kept was Newlook branded and really nice. Enjoy!

Zermatt · 22/06/2014 10:08

P.s I've found that I can wear my normal jeans as long as I wear a long top that covers my hips and have the button and zip undone on them, held together by a hairband round the button and through the button hole, tis so comfy.
