I hope everyone whose struggling
is ok!

Twig let have some alone time and ignore him, everything feels ten times worse when pregnant!

My dp has indirectly annoyed me tonight, dsd sees her mum at a contact centre on some tuesdays and is brought home by a family member at 6. Whenever she comes home from that she is over emotional and this leads to stroppiness and crying over everything even with hugs and trying to be sensitive, she still needs to finish homework for tomorrow and wait for dinner etc and dp has gone out to help a friend today and still hasn't come home, knowing that she is even more emotional if he's not there when she gets in and he is somewhere his phone has no signal. Grrr!

hopeful I finish just before school summer holidays. DP has found a job so looks like I can enjoy my maternity leave from 18th July Grin

StudyFullTime · 10/06/2014 20:15

I'm on my own during the week so would like the opportunity to be mad at DP. The joys of being an Army gf I suppose. My wedding is all sorted, paid for and booked.

Registry office then beach hut for a BBQ with a few friends and family.

My SPD is getting worse as the weeks go on so will be getting a physio referral soon, I can't get out of bed without pain and also finding walking a bit painful now...boo hiss!

Venus2 · 10/06/2014 21:15

Yikes! My nipples are huge now (compared to before). Will they go back to normal after bf?

barmybunting · 10/06/2014 21:27

Twiglet and Alita, sorry to hear you aren't having the best evening. I hope you both get a good nights sleep and feel better in the morning. It can be hard to remain calm at times with so much going on!

Study, when is your wedding booked for? It sounds like a wonderful plan, I hope you have a wonderful day! I am joining you with DH away during the week a lot at the moment and I have been muttering over the phone to him that I want him to come home so he can cook again. I do also want to see him of course, but miss him being around to sort stuff out as he has keep the house going in recent months if I am honest! I hope you are as well as you can with the SPD and you get your physio referral soon.

Wedding is booked for the 3rd week in August so hopefully the weather will be fab...a few beers and some chicken will do nicely I reckon. We've both been married before so didn't want a huge wedding.

We decided to have it in August so I can get DS enrolled at school before September, the good thing that most of our new neighbours will have kids going to school so he'll know a few faces.

amylou85 · 10/06/2014 21:44

Aw Study it will be lovely to show baby pictures when they're older and say that they were right there with you at the wedding, so lovely.

Sorry you;re having a rough time of it tonight Twiglet and Alita. MEN!!

Had my 20 week scan appointment letter through to day which is exciting! 4 weeks away though, going to be a loooooonnnggg wait! Will defo be finding out and telling ppl tho!

kate393 · 10/06/2014 23:05

Oooh study, I do love a good wedding...how exciting for you...busy old year eh?! What are you thinking re outfit?

edwardcullensotherwoman · 10/06/2014 23:22

Hi everyone, hope it's ok for me to come back, it's been a while Blush
18+1 today, I can't believe we're coming up to 20 week scans already, it was such a long haul to 12 weeks!
Hope everyone's doing ok, I'll catch up on the whole thread tomorrow.
I have a secret - I know - 20 week scan will confirm though.
We're pink again Grin
Being careful about telling people - random people ask if I'm going to find out but then say "ooh, don't tell me!" WTF?? Why ask if you don't want to know??
Saw my MW today, who cheerfully pointed out I have 21 weeks to go - eek!

barmybunting · 11/06/2014 06:09

It sounds like a blissful plan for your big day Study ! What a lovely way to spend it.

Venus2 · 11/06/2014 06:11

Welcome back Edward. Congrats on team pink. Is it what you guessed?
What a lovely time of the year to have a wedding Study :)
After 3.5 months of renovations I can move permanently back into our house today. So excited. I have been packing my suitcase once sometimes twice a week the whole time I have been pg and can't wait to just stay in one spot for a while. Time for nesting! :)

StudyFullTime · 11/06/2014 08:30

Thanks everyone, I'll be buying my outfit a week before so I know it fits. You can't live in Bournemouth and not do something on our beautiful beach hence why we're having a barbie and chilling out.

We've kept the cost low, everything in has cost just under £200, last of the big spenders hey Grin

I can't believe how close we all are to our 20 week scans, we need to make another list with gender on it when we've all been through.

It's getting quite warm now on the south coast so am going to re think my wardrobe, dresses skirts and knee length trousers so I need a shopping trip...best places to go?

Ooh Edward congrats on your little girl :)

Study getting married must be so exciting, you must show us your dress when you get it!
I'm sticking Primark and ebay for maternity stuff as you don't wear it very long!

study - that sounds a lovely wedding! We can all be virtual guests!
I cant give any advice re where to shop for clothes. I decided to splash out on some new clothes with the money i've saved from not smoking - went to Next, mothercare, ZARA, new Look and came away with nought. not a single thing i liked. I hate tshirts with slogans on and seriously could not bring myself to buy any. No nice dresses or tops or anything.... hopefully someone will come by with top tips..

hi edward - nice to see you back!
venus - hope your house move goes well and a big sense of relief to get your feet firmly planted back for nesting..
FTMK - hope you are feeling better today and tiglet / ailta - how are the DPs this morning?

Sorted out mat leave yesterday. I am due on the 25th Oct and will fininsh work on ..... the 25th Oct. yep - have to work right up to last day. Too much planned and committed to. I am organising and hosting an international conference with 300 people on the 20th oct so this baby had better not be early and as there is only 2 of us in whole organisation it has to be this way. Last time i was so lucky to get full year off with dd - but looks like i will be back full time after 4 months due to both finances but also work plan. Luckily there is a nursery at teh end of the corridor in building where i am based so i can pop in to bf through the day.

pretty pants and not what i would like Sad but hey - i am lucky to have a job and a job i love so just gotta get on with it Smile

Alita7 · 11/06/2014 09:04

Onion I couldn't get mad at dp he strolled in with a massive grin on his face x)

Dsd was still stroppy (mostly about having to get up early to finish homework this morning as she didn't tell me that she hadn't finished one of the pieces when having mum contact at the weekend). But at least dp got home just before bed last night. She doesn't mean to be like it bless her she just struggles emotionally with seeing her mum and sisters for a brief time.

weeonion · 11/06/2014 09:07

alita - Grin - glad it worked out and poor dsd. i have done some work around contact issues for kids and it can be so so so unsettling for them (not always mind). hard for you and dp to have to help her resettle too. x

Jojomaman bebe is great for maternity wear and I like next for trousers and skirts.

StudyFullTime · 11/06/2014 09:33

Not sure why my phone decided to post 3 times! I feel a bit of online shopping coming on Smile

Annarose2014 · 11/06/2014 09:55

Am going to take a trip to JojoMamanBebe today. Never been. Am going to do a site search to see what people recommend. I've been gifted three pairs of jeans from a friend so I think it's mainly tops I should look at. I've bought a couple of dresses from ASOS and Red Herring but I'm basically a tops 'n jeans woman.

Also going to pop into Birkenstock and also have a look at the new FitFlops for summer! I'm more a Birkenstock chick really, but I suspect the FitFlops would be a lot comfier! They've gotten bloody expensive though.

mismylinford · 11/06/2014 10:18
