God I'd never say 'I'm team blue' in real life! I'm having a little boy who will probably wear lots of red :p but I'm not fussed on here :p

So pleased to hear about all of the scan news! It feels much more real now!

PopcornFrenzy · 20/06/2014 13:13

Great to hear so much good news from scans.

I'm feeling a bit meh at the moment, I'm convinced something has gone wrong but can't quite put my finger on what I'm feeling, my scan isn't for another week and half. Boo, I need to snap out of it...

WinterLover · 20/06/2014 13:30

Scan went well here, still keeping the gender a suprise Grin

Annarose2014 · 20/06/2014 13:43

popcorn its very common to have a feeling of foreboding before the scan - I certainly did! It was only my Doppler that kept me from being a basket case, even though my bump was growing so it was utterly illogical.

I doorstopped my GP at 9am this morning and he listened to my chest and its not gone down there yet, so no antibiotics yet. But he did give me a script for Amoxcillin in case I deteriorated over the weekend. So basically its still lashings of Paracetamol. I feel HORRENDOUS but am relieved to now know I'm not worse, if you know what I mean.

Am definately going to call in sick for my shift tomorrow though. Need a day in bed.

Still no movement detected and 21 weeks on Monday. But not worried since the scan showed him happily mooching around. Smile I showed my folks the pictures today and they were entranced. Lots of "none of that in my day!" So that was nice. My mother told me that when I was born she was so clueless as to what babies need that all she had was one babygro and one cardigan! Grin

Alita7 · 20/06/2014 14:15

I kept panicking before mine too despite my doppler and feeling movement, I think it's because of my first 12 week on with the mmc. I'm still struggling to believe I could go from that to having an apparently totally healthy baby!

Winter that's great news!Smile

Getting pissed off with people AGAIN.
This (male, not sure why but I'd expect this of a woman not a man!) friend of dps, offered me their old pushchair for free (we've been offered several now which is lovely) which is obviously really kind, so I gratefully said no thank you we've already put a deposit on the one we want. And he got really funny with me saying he wants to get rid of it and that it's free... as if me saying no thanks was really rude! (apart from anything else their house is so so filthy it's a health hazard, dp came home having sat down there and his jeans were filthy! so I wouldn't want it anyway) we've put down a deposit, why is that hard to understand... its lovely that people are being so generous but why

oops posted it too soon

why would someone be so off if you politely decline??? sigh!

Afternoon all, glad everyone had good scans yesterday. Hope scans today are just as good.

I woke up this morning with a bump! Am a bit Shock! I kind of want to post a picture, but I will save you all and inflict it on my sister instead Grin

anna, hope you feel better soon, as well as everyone else feeling ick.

Greenstone, when I had my 12 week scan (when I was more of a basket case than I am now from raging hormones) they wheeled a lady past me followed by a little bed with two teeny tiny newborn twins in it. She looked absolutely shattered - and quite stoned - but she was smiling even in her daze. I sobbed like a baby. DP was horrified!

MrsDowneyJunior · 20/06/2014 14:27

I commented to someone the other day that this baby was super wiggly and really active, and she looked all serious and said she's stressed out and I need to do lots of meditation and yoga of the next half to calm her down so she's a calm person at birth, not aggressive, over active and angry. Shock As if it's me and I'm forcing her to be an angry violent person?? Not what you say to someone with anxiety!! Maybe she's wiggly because she's happy, intelligent and active! DD had the same start in life and is the most chilled out, placid, calm person I've ever met! Angry

Also winding myself up about going out with my friend tonight, after her comments yesterday about how she's not going if I'm in the scooter and certainly not where anyone may recognise either of us because it's embarrassing being with a disabled person who can't walk and is in a chair and can't I just walk it?! Erm. No! Can't you just be intelligent?? I may have to do my Little Britain act (was it Andy? "I want that one, yeah I know") just to embarrass her properly.

MrsDowneyJunior · 20/06/2014 14:28

Lovely hearing all the scan news coming in! Smile

Alita7 · 20/06/2014 14:43

Mrs Dj maybe you have a super excitable inquisitive baby! Bloody hell!

BabyButton1 · 20/06/2014 16:29

Sorry can someone please tell me what DD etc. stands for ;-) I get confused when I try to translate ha...

MrsDowneyJunior · 20/06/2014 16:47

Darling Daughter/Son/Husband/Partner/Child etc Smile

Annarose2014 · 20/06/2014 16:56

MrsD that is the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard in my entire life!

That person is clearly deranged. Avoid in future.

weeonion · 20/06/2014 17:38

Yeah winter and Aussie on scan news!!!!

Wow mrs d! Never heard the like!! You certainly have had some strange comments the whole way through, right from your postie way back to your friend yesterday!! I feel i have got off so so lightly in this pg!

Annarose - hope you feel better over weekend. X

Annarose

weeonion · 20/06/2014 17:42

Oh - and greenstone - loved that story of new born bubs and mum!!

Venus2 · 20/06/2014 18:38

I think that all of this Team Blue Team Pink sensitivity is a load of nonsense. There are far more serious issues in the world. All I care about is if my baby is healthy.

Alita7 · 20/06/2014 18:50

Haha Venus! as I said I personally don't care what we say it's just a silly forum thing :p

Everyones entitled to an opinion and i am sure the priority for us all is healthy babies that grow into happy kids. It might not be important to some but if it is important to some on the thread - its worth respecting?

Mathssssteacher123 · 20/06/2014 19:50

Just caught up on the thread it's been busy!!! I had my scan yesterday still a boy :) only just made it on time due to mega gridlock. I'm so glad it's the weekend this has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life so much crap (why does it all come in one go!?)
Anyway so nice to hear all the scan news it's starting to go quicker now the first 16 weeks dragged! Hoping it will continue to go quick!

Spannertime · 20/06/2014 21:59

Hey everyone. I lost you all for a while. Sorry I've not been about. My anxiety and depression got very bad and I narrowly avoided a stay in hospital. Thankfully coping much better now but I have missed loads in the few weeks I've been AWOL.

Congrats to all of you who have had positive 20 week scans.

Alita7 · 20/06/2014 22:17

I hope you're feeling better Spanner! Sounds like things have been tough! Hope you're getting tonnes of tlc!

Elliekins · 20/06/2014 23:44
