How interesting! I'm a redhead too! There seem to be a few of us ;)

Don't feel quite so gross today. Am either 8+1 or 9+1 so we'll see if it lasts. It could be because DS has slept through 3 NIGHTS IN A ROW! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Minibagel · 09/06/2014 10:28

Hooray henrietta when my ds sleeps through I feel amazing the next day. Not that it lasts, running around after him all day is tirrrrring.

Also hooray for all the red heads who are ok under general anaesthetic, even if they just need a few more ouchy jabs at the dentist to make it work. If you need stitches remember to tell your dr to give you a few jabs before they start work. I asked for more because I realised as I was gazing into my babies eyes it still hurt quite a lot. Suffer not ladies.

Bloomin eck.....page 5 of a new thread!! What did I miss?!

For those of you suffering constipation try Sennokot. Safe to take in pregnancy and has worked for me. You just take 2 tablets at night and things start working again in the morning!

After having 3 good days last week with no symptoms, I've gone back to nausea and exhaustion in the evening symptoms. Haven't managed an evening meal on Sat or Sunday - just some toast and cheese. Also, I am starving today! Have eaten my lunch already and it's only 10.30am Blush!

It was DS's 8th Birthday party yesterday - football theme. I even baked a cake and made it into a football pitch. It was an effing nightmare but I got there in the end and the boys all thought it was "awesome"!

Hope everyone well. Camsie hope the bleeding has stopped or you have sought help. I was advised to phone EPU if any problems in the first 14 weeks.

This redhead theory is very interesting. My dad is full on ginger and I was blonde as a baby, then auburn / blonde (now just bottle blonde -hehe)

I am always ok with anaesthetics and stuff, but I do remember I was in agony in labour until I had diamorphine- gas and air just made me vom. I am also slightly double jointed ... Maybe the degree of your red hair is in direct correlation with your hyper mobility and resistance to anaesthetic ?

Oooh I am off to phone me dad.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 09/06/2014 10:40

henrietta I know that feeling of fu on joy when you dc finally sleeps through :) yay!

Bugaboom · 09/06/2014 10:55

henrietta hooray for the sleeping through! My DS sleeps through mostly but has a habit of waking around 5. Luckily it's my day off so I've headed back to bed now he's napping. The tiredness is much worse this time

Loobyloo893 · 09/06/2014 11:25

Another one here with a DS who likes waking at half 5! Must be a boy thing. Smile Half an hour until nap time and I can have a lie down

Bugaboom · 09/06/2014 11:30

It's a killer isn't is loobyloo? He's 22 months now and been doing this for over a year so given up on the mantra that it's "just a phase"!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 09/06/2014 11:33

Hang on... Not just a boy thing ladies :) my dd has a habit of a 5am start too :/ its AWFUL!

How old was he when he stopped napping madrigals? Mine is 2yrs4months and I'm clinging into the hope he'll still be napping come January. Think I'm a bit deluded but apparently I napped until I started school so I'm hoping it runs in the family lol

HenriettaTurkey · 09/06/2014 12:21

Looby - our boy was 2 in April and only naps in the car!

PassTheAnswers · 09/06/2014 12:49

Smile 7+3 heartbeat and everything that should be present is present. Chuffed beyond words.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 09/06/2014 12:55

Afternoon all,

I'm glad I found you! Haven't had much time to keep up with the thread over the weekend and took me a while to work out that a new one had started Confused

Did someone say they did a 30 mile bike ride?! My goodness, I was impressed with my 10 minute dog walk and no napping yesterday which doesn't seem quite so impressive now ... Was lulled into a slight false sense of security yesterday as I didn't feel sick ALL day, not once despite not doing anything differently. But alas, today it's back as before.

Very interesting re the hypermobility too - I am also hypermobile, particularly hips which I'm hoping won't be too much of an issue although I think I'm more likely to have problems.

We had our booking in visit with the midwife yesterday who was lovely. I've seen a few threads on here with people not being too impressed with their midwife for lots of reasons so I'm feeling very fortunate to have such a nice one. Lots of forms filled in and I'm going to the surgery for bloods later this week. Should received a date for our scan in the post soon. 8+3 today!

Great news Pass!! Smile

I'm sooo bloody tired today! Really struggling to keep my eyes open!! Shock

KatnissEvermean · 09/06/2014 15:01

How long was your booking in appointment? One week today until I have mine!

At work today, and feeling really tired. My job involves quite a bit of carrying boxes around, and I think I'm going to have to tell my colleagues earlier than I wanted to so it doesn't look like I'm just slacking. Even the little tiny boxes are making my arms feel tired.

My clothes are starting to feel a bit tight, but I think it's just bloating!

Am def hoping to hold onto naps for as long as I can!
Fab news pass Smile
I was told booking in would take about an hour. My mw gave me all the forms to fill in though so they're all done apart from a few sections. Hopefully that will speed it up.

Mine was also an hour but that was without bloods (she came to our home so I've got to go to the surgery for bloods this week). Tons and tons of paperwork and questions about family history, mental health etc etc.

Lovely news pass It's so wonderful seeing the heartbeat isn't it? I was shocked at how quick it was but then I read that it's really quick to start with until the baby's brain develops and regulates the heart rate.

What nickname's do people have for the little beans?! We've gone from 'Bean' to 'Eric' (the embryo) and now we're week 8 it's Frank (the foetus)!

HenriettaTurkey · 09/06/2014 15:53

One day, DS is Bill - so the bump is Little Ted!

Loobyloo893 · 09/06/2014 15:55

Ours is Starfish. I told DS to be careful of my tummy when climbing on me. He asked why and I told him there was something in it and what did he think it was. His answer was 'starfish' and it's stuck Grin
