Great news pass. 1 week till my booking in appointment.
I have RA and hyper mobility mainly my knees that dislocate, quite embarrassing in my line of work of I'm running in an emergency often one knee will pop out and I have to run trying to pop it back in.
My ds was born a month early don't know of it q's related or not

Minibagel · 09/06/2014 16:04

Hooray for pass! Brilliant news.

7 days til my early scan, can't wait!

8+5

blizy · 09/06/2014 16:28

Fab news pass!

I'm loving the nicknames for the mini bumps, particularly frank the foetus Grin. Mines is just wee button.

Camsie30 · 09/06/2014 16:29

Thanks MelMc, I'm having a scan at EPU tomorrow morning just to check. It's only a little bit and it's not bright red (gross sorry!) so hopefully it's all ok in there!
I would LOVE to have a child with red hair! My mum is a redhead and I think it's stunning!

KatnissEvermean · 09/06/2014 16:40

Thanks, I'm looking forward to the appointment because it will start to feel more real.

I love all your nicknames so far, we don't have one yet. My uncle's son was called Banjo by the whole family before he was born, and he was really worried it would stick!

I also love red hair. It's really weird, my stepdad and his six sisters all have brown or blonde hair, but all their children are ginger. My sister and cousins all look so similar, but nobody knows where the ginger gene has come from!

cheshirem2b · 09/06/2014 16:46

great news pass!!!
I've been really tired at work today and still nausea on and off but that is improving as all I wanted for lunch was fruit instead of the carb loading I've been doing recently so I am putting that as a good sign of coming out of the tired/sicky stage! Hurray!
Interesting read about red haired people - no red genes in our family on either side sadly!
Starting to feel something in my abdomen that I think must be my smudgy! Things are starting to get really real! Exciting times ahead for us all!
10+4 today!

Minibagel · 09/06/2014 17:03

Somebody opened a bag of walkers sweet chilli crisps and can't put them down. What do they put in these things, crack?!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 09/06/2014 17:26

I had spd with my last pregnancy and very bad back. Dm is this a sign of hyper mobility? I also have a dodgy knee. How do you get diagnosed?

KeepOnPloddingOn · 09/06/2014 17:27

Spd on right hip. *

deuscat · 09/06/2014 17:40

Great news on the scan pass.

Camsie fingers crossed everything is ok.

My booking in was 45 minutes at my GP surgery. I'm very straightforward though as I'm fortunate to not have any health problems. Now I'm waiting for my 12 weeks scan letter which should arrive any day this week. I'm so excited and nervous to see the baby! We've not had an early scan so it's a very long wait! We don't have any nicknames yet. I think DH is finding it hard to believe its real and look forward due to my previous mc. Hopefully he'll be more excited after the scan.

I'm also feeling much less nauseous although still not great and still not fancying my usual cups of tea. I've been eating more fruit which makes me feel better. I'm still shattered though!

9+2 today

ViviPru · 09/06/2014 17:49

Wow all these hypermobile redheads!

Today my antenatal fitness instructor observed one of my ass cheeks has dropped 2" lower than the other over the last 2 weeks. The whole class had a good gawp. Good job I'm not self conscious!

Saraswati · 09/06/2014 18:02

This is the beighton score they use for diagnosis keepon

RPopz · 09/06/2014 18:08

Vivi was it you that was talking about being an early waddler?? I'm conscious of walking slightly differently all of a sudden and today my lower back/ top of my bum on one side has been killing me! Surely my centre of gravity hasn't changed already!?

Saraswati · 09/06/2014 18:08

vivi this is where I read about premature labour and hypermobility

hypermobility.org/help-advice/pregnancy/

I can't wait to tell my osteopath aunt I'm pregnant and start getting some treatment on my hips, they were killing me sat at my desk today :( sick as a dog today after I thought it was calming down over the weekend. The weather has made me feel proper rough today. 11 weeks tomorrow and scan 1 week tomorrow, even though I had a scan at 9 weeks the fear has started to set in again!!

Great news pass and best of luck tomorrow camsie

Our bean is still called bean, I've actually called DH bean for years, he even bought me a Tiffany bean necklace as a present ages ago, so it was natural that the baby would always be bean! I've been wearing my necklace non-stop for some extra luck for the little bean inside :)

KeepOnPloddingOn · 09/06/2014 18:43

saras thankyou so much for forwarding the link for me.
Safe to say: I most definitely do NOT have hyper mobility! Oooops. I am obviously just a hyprochondriac. :)

ilovelamp78 · 09/06/2014 19:05

Welcome bohemond and flipping well done on cycling 30 miles ! I cycled to work today for the first time in a few weeks and a) it wasn't that far and b) my fitness seems to have dropped off a cliff. I managed a 7k trail run at about 7 weeks but since then I have honestly mostly been ASLEEP! Like you though, no actual sickness. I'm hoping I get some energy back over the coming weeks so I can do more.

Today I bust the zip on my trousers :(
Caved and booked a private scan for tomorrow. Need to know if I really am growing a healthy little bruiser or just eating far too much!? Fingers crossed

Minibagel · 09/06/2014 19:07

Good luck for the scan Ilovelamp it sounds very much like you are pregnant. Fingers crossed everything is good and you see a little heartbeat. How many weeks are you?

Starbright24 · 09/06/2014 19:37

Hi all. Wow this thread moves fast.
I booked my scan appointment today. 26th june. That's not too long :) honest!

sunshineandbiscuits · 09/06/2014 20:01

Hello everyone! I love the nicknames. Our bean is called mini widge, short for mini widget. This is because the smaller of our two cats is nicknamed little widget, and since the bean is smaller than the small cat, they had to be mini widge. I look forward to explaining to DC (fx) one day that before they were born we named them after the cat!

Welcome bohemond! Good job on the bike ride. I'm still finding my morning cycle to work really helps with ms, but I have been pretty wiped the last few days with not much energy. Not helped by a super busy period at work, what great timing!

Allthefours · 09/06/2014 20:18

Hello everyone, newbie just joining in if I may.
Took a test last week, and was ever so slightly shocked at the BFP but it's a very happy surprise. I have PCOS and never though it would happen but here we are. I'm roughly 8/9 weeks but because of the PCOS my cycle is all over the place so won't know for definite until the first scan. Just waiting now for the MW to get in contact to arrange the booking in appointment which can't come soon enough. Desperately need to make this more real.
This is baby no. 4 for me, I've just turned 40 and my other 3 are 19, 17 and 14. Everything is so very different that it feels like the first time again. Having up and down days, boobs are killing, feel sick almost constantly and totally exhausted but struggle to sleep.

ilovelamp78 · 09/06/2014 20:32

minibagel I'm 9+5 and I'm sure there's crack in those crisps ;)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/06/2014 20:42

Welcome bohemond - your bike ride puts most of us to shame Blush. I've done bugger all!! I will step back n the gym when I reach 12 weeks.

Good luck tomorrow Lamp.
Welcome alltheours, congratulations!

ViviPru · 09/06/2014 20:51

Thanks for that link, Sara

Due to a possible resistance to the effects of local anaesthetics you may find that you gain little or no benefit from epidural anaesthesia or other local painkillers given if you have an episiotomy or tear.

Fanbloodytastic. Although I suspected as much. Even more reason to attend MLU as far as I can see.

My sister has similar JHS symptoms to me and her epidural was ineffective although I've never spoken to her in great detail about it (she suffered with PTSD after Shock ) but I sure will now once we've told her.

Yep RPopz that was me, the early waddler, could well be that you're posture is changing already too!

Saraswati · 09/06/2014 21:50

vivi yep that an allergy to codeine and it's friends are sending me straight to the MLU!! I figure if I can survive an op when the local anesthetic didn't work and they severed a nerve in my face (which I felt go ping as they cut it) I can survive on gas and air!! Well I guess I don't have much choice...

Just arranged to have dinner with my best friend next Thursday, two days after my scan so I can tell her. I'm now worrying I've jinxed it all and should wait until I get nt results, do they tell you the thickness at the scan? I mean would they tell you if it looked high risk then you'd get that confirmed by bloods?

ViviPru · 09/06/2014 21:56

OMG I once had to be rushed to A&E after a reaction to codeine!

I was having wobbles over that exact same issue last night Sara and the very informative ladies on this thread said that it's likely if the NT measurement suggests high risk, you'll be told there and then and if they don't, they should tell you if you ask.

I've decided if there's any doubt immediately after scan based on NT measurement we'll hold off telling anyone other than parents until we get the actual risk figure
