Congrats to all you ladies who had good scans today! Excellent news!
I went shopping today with my mum and we bought first baby clothes! Only a couple of sleep suits as will need winter stuff but still very cute! Grin

KeepOnPloddingOn · 20/06/2014 18:40

Haha @ saras!

Aww scan pics galore. Lovely :) so cute!

Minibagel · 20/06/2014 18:59

Lovely news tilly and a great scan pic. Everyone has such clear images, I hope ours is as good. 11 sleeps to go til our 12w one. Not that I'm counting...

I think early private gender scans are available from 16 weeks, I have already found a local clinic that does them for £50. Can't wait!!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 20/06/2014 19:41

Mini- what a bargain! I shall be doing this ... I just have to!

j200 · 20/06/2014 19:45

Aww loving the scan pics :) will upload mine if i work out how! Are any of you looking into nub theory? From that mine looks like a boy but guess will see

Having a private gender scan too- i would recommend looking at Ultrasound direct, they have the most clinics all over the country and have a gender scan appt for 39 pounds- bargain!

xx

KeepOnPloddingOn · 20/06/2014 20:01

J200- I did the nub theory with dd and it was right! My mum is to tbank; she is a bit of a nub theory expert and has since got others right too.

I atill would want a confirmation scan though!

looking4rainbow · 20/06/2014 21:37

Nhs one lol is not till 22 weeks ( blaming the baby brain)

mummyk8 · 20/06/2014 22:39

What beautiful scan photos. I'm counting the days until mine like a child waiting for Christmas - only 6 more sleeps to go - hehehe!

After reading the earlier discussions about names I have been thinking about it all day. So far I really love Edith for a girl and Grayer for a boy.

cheshirem2b · 20/06/2014 23:01

We aren't playing the nub game... We're keeping it a surprise! Interesting to see who is right though out of you doing nub theory.

Camsie30 · 21/06/2014 00:29

Hi KeepOn - I had the Harmony Test today, which is a chromosome test for 3 main defects, the main one being downs syndrome. Its a scan and a blood test, so non invasive and totally safe, as opposed to the amnio. The bonus is that they can also tell the gender. The bloods are sent off to the USA, and the results come back within 2 weeks. When I get the results they also do a nuchal scan to be sure that everything is fine. So I'll have my 12 week scan on 3rd July, and the nuchal on 7th. This is going to be the most photographed foetus ever! Having Harmony at the Foetal Medical Centre on Harley Street, they are wonderful.

Hope thats helpful! x

rumisyum · 21/06/2014 00:58

Up with insomnia over work related stress, but OMG at all these gorgeous scan pictures! Completely made my night. Grin

And, yes, ilovelamp, my scan is on July 2nd too! Can't wait. Smile

LMSunshine · 21/06/2014 05:47

Lovely waking up to all these scan pictures, congratulations everyone. I'm also on count down, only four more sleeps. Can't wait.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I'm cleaning and than relaxing today, and catching up with work on Sunday :-(.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 21/06/2014 06:48

Thank you, camsie that sounds wonderful. I am very impressed they can tell the sex so early on! I have my scan on Monday! Eeeeeeeeep!!! So I shall def be doing the ole' nub theory with this one. I really did research the nub theory last time, it is a respected theory I'm many other countries (google it ladies). As I say, it was right for me and others I know.

I still shall have an early gender scan too, despite my faith the nub theory! I need confirmation, as much as I am a believer ;) Can't wait another 2 months for that this time. I simply HAVE to know, haha.

ChineseFireball · 21/06/2014 06:48

Hello everyone. Been fairly busy the last few days so just catching up now. So sorry about gingy's sad news but jolly excited for Bangkok.
I think the MS is starting to ease off now (huzzah), although currently feeling a little bit ropey - might be because DS has woken and been sick Sad poor liitle mite. He's had a nasty cough the last few days off the back of his cold and I think it's the phlegm (eurgh hate that word) making him poorly. He's currently in our bed with daddy while I've decamped to the spare room.
We're off to see Nana tomorrow (DH is going on the train today and is having a boys' night; DS and I will go tomorrow in the car, spend the day and then all of us will come home together) so I hope the sickness isn't a bug. Also hoping I don't catch it!!

Lovely to hear all the scan news. I'll get on the laptop at some point to look at the pictures and update my EDD on the stats.

13+1 (is that Trimester 2?!) Grin

KeepOnPloddingOn · 21/06/2014 06:52

Hi chinese hope the wee man gets better for his Nana. A nice break will work a treat I am sure :)

There is a vey high pollen count, have you tries anti-histamines for him? Dd has had a wee cough due to hay fever.... It's just a thought. Anyway, if that fails Vicks on the feet on bedtime do really do the trick for a cough :)

Saraswati · 21/06/2014 08:54

Morning all! Loving the scan pics, we are all growing humans, isn't it amazing?! Told our closest friends last night, they were surprised but thrilled and laughing at us for planning a baby at Xmas!! Got a nice quiet weekend with DH planned so excited for some rest after all the excitement of last week, going to start my spreadsheet of what we need for the baby so I can work out our budget. I think DH is in for a shock! Won't be buying anything until after 20 weeks though, we're not finding out the sex either. Even if I did I would dress it quite neutral, don't really like little princess/little monkey type things anyway!

chinese I'm also 13+1 today and am confused about when it ticks over into second trimester, I think it might be the start of 14 weeks, so Friday for us? I'm going to double check this today!

RPopz · 21/06/2014 08:56

Nearly new fred time again!! Who's going to do the honours?? 4 sleeps til my scan Grin xx

Dec2013mummy · 21/06/2014 08:58

I know about the baby brain. I have left my card in 2 different machines know, one at tesco and one at b and q. It's so annoying!! Also I woke Dh up this morning saying ing it's half 8.... Ds is still asleep as he thought it was play time at 4 this morning. I have never seen Dh jump out of bed so fast as he has to leave for work at 7 at the latest and he shouted 'omg what day is it?'. My reply, 'oh, sorry yer it's Saturday isn't it?!' Needless to say he was not impressed!!

Scan is how Thursday as hubby couldn't make the second one I had booked either, even though I had asked him before hand. When I told him this one he said oh ok I'll check the diary, to which my responce, no need to check the diary.... Just be there.
