Sleep I was looking at Seraphine earlier, although they seem to have a lot of the same styles as Tiffany Rose as mentioned upthread. I need an excuse to have to get this. I wondered at the time where Katherine Parkinson got it from....

So sorry to hear your news gingy I hope you get answers

Minibagel · 19/06/2014 17:07

It seems so harsh when more than one of us has a scan and for one it is bad news and another good. But congrats to looking and bangkok (who is banned from joining the dec thread, you know how much this group wants a twin pregnancy!!!)

For maternity fashion, try ASOS, they have some great dresses and very affordable. Also high street grecian styles are very flattering on pg women, depending on bump size.

rumisyum · 19/06/2014 17:12

Oh gingys I'm so very, very sorry. I really hope they figure this out for you & wish you a successful pregnancy very soon. Thanks

rumisyum · 19/06/2014 17:21

Man, what a day for news on here! Twins! bangkok that's so exciting! And you're forbidden to leave us, like Mad said. I mean, I'm feeling like I'm the only one left with a Jan due date at the moment. Wink And congrats looking and closetoyou on your happy scans as well, such brilliant news.

Good luck for yours this evening, j200. Peace of mind is priceless. I'm tempted to follow you.

Saras that's such horribly unfair news for your friend, but your husband sounds like an amazing friend to him. I'm sure your happy news will only brighten their day.

I like the sound of all this hypnobirthing stuff. Gotta to catch up on OBEM now and I'll give those Mindful Mamma mp3s a listen. I found meditation mp3s a big help when I was trying to conceive, so I can only imagine it'll be quite helpful now too!

And after the wretched day I've had at work, where shit has hit the fan about people are disagreeing over what I should & shouldn't continue to do now that I'm pregnant, all while I'd rather just not think about it and have a looooong nap, I could use a large dose of relaxation. (And a VERY large glass of wine, but the relaxation will have to do!)

rumisyum · 19/06/2014 17:23

Ooh, and sorry for hogging the thread in such a me me me way, but I got my scan appt through today! On July 2nd, when I'll be 12 weeks exactly. Can't wait! Smile

j200 · 19/06/2014 17:46

Oh gingysmummy I'm so so sorry, I really hope they find the cause ASAP so you never have to go through that again Hmm x

Wow our first twins Grin and great news on the other scans so far. I am feeling sick with worry - just on tube to my scan now.

Rum I will still have a jan due date if all well today -currently 10th jan based on last scan Smile

Thanks for everyone's kind words and support, you are all such lovely ladies and I am just a massive worrier which I know has been made worse by the difficulty I had just trying to get here but hopefully all is well xx

So sorry Gingy - I really hope you'll get referred to a fertility/ recurrent miscarriage specialist now if you haven't been already. Good luck with everything xxxxx

Bangkok how on earth are you feeling!? Can't believe we have twins already! Grin

I'm terrified of mmc too... even though all feels well. Unfortunately my "gut feeling" is always a massive drama queen (it told me I was totally infertile a few months ago... Wink ) so have to learn to ignore it!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 19/06/2014 18:01

sleep has some more strong cramps again ... Sure it's just ligaments stretching. Distraction is def key! I just eat haha.

Ooh an Indian wedding! How glamorous; now they know how to have a wedding! What about wearing their traditional wear? They seem comfy and light and are very comfy! I hung around with all Asain girls at school - I used to love trying their clothes on , haha :)

KeepOnPloddingOn · 19/06/2014 18:02

Had*

KeepOnPloddingOn · 19/06/2014 18:05

Ps bangkok may I ask, what were your symptoms like? Do you have a large bump? I am under the impression bad am can be a sign of twins... Was this the case for you?

Minibagel · 19/06/2014 18:20

My 12w scan is 2nd July too rumisyum :)

Bangkokbaby · 19/06/2014 18:53

Hi guys,
Just in from work, been in a bit of a daze all afternoon! I'll not leave you, promise! It would feel awkward going off to join another group now!
I had absolutely no idea that it would be twins, I've been feeling sick, but have not actually been sick, just really tired all the time. I do have a bit of a bump, mostly bloating though!
Its not been a rough 1st trimester so far, so was not expecting the news.
Everyone is over the moon, I'm still in shock and worrying about what it will mean for us from a financial point of view.
Also - i'm going to be the size of a house!
I am happy, I am, i'm just worried Confused

Minibagel · 19/06/2014 18:59

Of course you are, thats normal. There are tamba groups you can join in real life to help support you even before the babies (!!) arrive. Every baby is a precious gift and you struck the jackpot! I dont remember if this is your first pg but the initial outlay will not be too great, as you always have loads of stuff for a newborn anyway which will do for both especially if neutral only and although pram choices are more restricted there is something for every budget. I only know a bit about twins as my last pg which ended in mc was suspected twins, so I started to look into it in case this was a multiple pg as well (it isnt)

ViviPru · 19/06/2014 19:00

Yay glad you're staying Bangkok. Your mixed feelings are totally understandable!

Can't wait to hear how you get on j200 Smile

j200 · 19/06/2014 19:19

Good news from me, skipped out scan place- baby moving around like it was dancing and measuring in line with my dates now too, over the moon and can relax now xxx

Interesting you've not been sick Bangkok. Mr Rpopz swears blind we're having twins cos we found out so early, but I thought I wasn't ill enough! I've had killer nausea but never actually puked. Time will tell I guess! Hmm No wonder you're feeling apprehensive, its a total bombshell! How did the family react?? x

RPopz · 19/06/2014 19:36

Great news j200 x

Saraswati · 19/06/2014 19:38

Yey j200 !!

Just caught up on OBEM, cried of course, those precious little twins! Hynobirthing lady was amazing I'm dead set on that now and she named her baby India (that's my girl name!)

LulusMiniEgg · 19/06/2014 19:47

Woo hoo J200! Congratulations, I know you were so nervous.

Just ordered a half metre pizza to enjoy with DH watching the football. Yum yum in my tum!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 19/06/2014 19:49

bangkok mixed feelings are understandable! It's really interesting to hear you were never sick as I always assumed if you had twins you would be sick a lot (cos of double the hormones I s'pose) how wrong was I!
Goodness, maybe I am having twins too. I have huge bump already and they run in my family. Eep!

saras I always cry at OBEM. It's just awesome :) India is a beautiful name.

May I ask, do you lot think Jasper is pretentious? I have a double barrelled last name and my and my dd has a very traditional name. We are not remotely posh, so I am fearful if we were to call ds Jasper (if we have a boy) it would look like we were desperately trying to scramble up the social ladder to the upper classes! Haha.

rumisyum · 19/06/2014 19:55

Yay, j200! Fabulous news.

And scan day twin, minibagel! Smile

Bangkok I can't imagine not having mixed feelings about having twins. It's a big deal - TWO babies! But I'm sure it will be an amazing normal for you guys once you've gotten used to the idea.
