Hi everyone - long time since I last checked in and we're on a new thread! Phew...

Congrats BigHairy - you must post some pics when home!

Excited about people getting their scans done, but still feels like ages until mine on 20 June...counting down the days! I think I must be the last of the bunch! Will just have to live through all of your excitement until then!

CallingAllEngels · 03/06/2014 18:34

Found you!

porsmork · 03/06/2014 18:38

Wow, these posts are moving fast!

Had my scan yesterday, all was AMAZING, little wriggler waving at us and everything seemed fine. Had to rush off to get our certificate of non-impediment to marriage straight after, so didn't get to look at my notes until about 10pm last night. I'm O RhD Negative, like you miraculous. Hope everything will be OK. Will talk it through with midwife, but I'm pretty sure I'll get the anti-D injections.

Does anyone know if there are any side effects?

Got a bump now, and beginning to tell people, it's so nice to have the news out in the open, don't think I could have held on for much longer.

Anyone started to do any shopping for baby yet? We went and bought our first baby-grow to celebrate from John Lewis last night. Who knows if it will even fit, but we thought we should honour the day when we first saw the little one!

Hi - three pages already! Lovely scan pics :)

I'm really nervous every pregnancy. It's all the unknowns. Trying to be slightly more sane this time round.

I don't know anything about anti-d other than loads of my friends needed it, with no ill effects.

Feeling slightly less sick tonight which is marvellous. I am still living off bacon, coke, eggs, bread and chewing gum. I have put on 9 pounds. Do I get a prize?! No wonder I needed to buy mat clothes today.

CatFaceCrayola · 03/06/2014 19:22

Congratulations all who've had scans today.

Littlebear81 · 03/06/2014 19:31

Joining the scan band wagon today! Officially 12+3 so due 13th Dec. Is lovely to be able to tell people and stop holding my stomach in at work!

Clothes were definitely tight this morning! Got lads of comments about the nice skirt I was wearing - not worn it in ages due to it being too big but I can confirm after having it on all day it's a bit tight! Lots of my smaller size clothes seem to be a no go now. Definitely going to have to get some more work clothes soon!

espa · 03/06/2014 19:35

Loving everyone's scan pics, 10 days until mine!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/06/2014 20:19

Here you go! :)

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:21

Loving all the pics! Can't wait for my scan now I'm bricking it

tillymonster · 03/06/2014 20:25

oooh, excited about my scan tomorrow, but at the same time slightly nervous... I've also been having cramps (but no bleeding), fingers crossed for a healthy baby!

I'm still in my normal clothes, I have a little bump (13 wks), but lost about a stone and a half through m/s over the last three months so I have a little room to grow! The midwife said not to worry about the weight loss, as long as I start putting some on in 2nd trimester, she said baby is a good parasite and takes what it needs... Good luck to all you others that have scans this week!

porsmork · 03/06/2014 20:26

Good luck Polythene. We were terrified, but can honestly say that the first moment they put the device on you tummy and baby appears is one of the most magical things ever! Pictures just don't do it justice. Watching them move and wriggle and wave their arms about, and watching the little heart... All incredible.

We had a trainee and a midwife so our appointment was nice and long while they practised, I normally hate being a guinea pig, but didn't mind in the slightest!

Lovely pics! Reassuring to know about anti-d, thanks daddy pig.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/06/2014 20:47

Polythene I was utterly bricking it. Was terrified.

Womens was so busy today - was like a pregnancy conveyer belt and it all felt a bit chaotic. Hope it was just a bad day...

Baby was in a rubbish position for ages, then it flipped over and wiggled all its limbs at us! Sonographer was pressing really hard at first which hurt and I was a bit worried as he didn't say anything for ages. Then the heart came into view and I could see it beating and I could breath again. :)

SassehMonsta · 03/06/2014 21:05

Eeeks - can't wait till my scan on the 10th now - this time next week I will have seen our baby for the third time! :D (early reassurance 6+4, and then in hospital at 9+4) Everyones scans look amazing. I know there will be a trainee in the room (there was last time, and for my friend) so hoping the appointment goes well Smile

Hello to all the new joiners! Those who have been admitted and have or possibly have HG, have you seen the HG thread on the Pregnancy Board? Welcome to join us over there. I think I'm lucky (touch wood) that mines starting to fade. Only felt sick a few times today and not upchucked since Thursday last week - achievement indeed! Grin

Bought a maternity top today, becuase I found a pretty one in Debenhams in the next town over (and the Debenhams near me is rubbish!).

Also managed to make it to a dance class, but it was only me, Immie (my MIL, and also the teacher) and Nicola, who is 12 weeks post-baby, so we had an improvers ante/post-natal class. Was nice to not have to go back to basics with a new class, and lovely to be able to talk freely about baby and how certain moves change when you are pregnant as your body changes. I had to restrain myself and not do some of my favourite moves as they felt "funny". Boo :)

12+1 today. So excited to be past 12 weeks. So so excited about my bump! Super un excited about trying to fit into my outfit for the weekend (medieval wedding, including best outfit competition judged by the bride!)

nickyjlees · 03/06/2014 21:07

Congratulations on all the lovely scans, great pics!

CatFaceCrayola · 03/06/2014 21:14

Medieval wedding...sounds fun.

Jealous of the little baby noses on your scans. Mine had it's hands up by it's face so couldn't see a nose, although the hands do make it look like baby has a pointy beak! Lol. Want to see again...20 weeks feels like ages away!

Been back to drs as nasty rash has reappeared and got some cream.

current concern is my temperature. I feel like I'm absolutely burning up. Not sure if it's the rash or what. Sat in my knickers with an ice pack (classy)

13+2

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/06/2014 21:28

CatFace Its SO humid tonight. I'm currently on my bed in my undieswith all the windows open and cold flannels on my feet and head! Roasting!

CatFaceCrayola · 03/06/2014 21:28

Glad it's not just me overheating!

htbftm · 03/06/2014 21:29

Such fab scan pics everyone! Lovely to have shared the day with you all!! Ffallada we are now due on the same day! :-D

LisaC2611 · 03/06/2014 21:41

Such lovely pictures, I can't wait to see mine tomorrow now. I'm soooo excited, although possibly not as much as my mum she was round earlier saying she wished she was going with us. Thankfully I am only allowed one adult in the room with me so obviously hubby takes preference over my mum any day!!

Welcome to all the new joiners, I finally added myself to the stats board.

Sasseh, being over that 12 weeks really does make a difference on how you feel doesn't it?

I must admit since I had the reassurance scan at 8+3 I have felt like I not been worrying about my little bean as much, although obviously still knicker check every time I go to the toilet.

Can't wait to finally tell people, its been torture keeping it a secret.

SassehMonsta · 03/06/2014 21:52

Gosh Lisa doesn't it just! I'm also overheating but with a house guest I am limited to how much I can take off at the moment.... Grrr!

As for the wedding, not only is it medieval themed, but it's actually Skyrim/Elder Scrolls themed. Husband is going as Sheogorath, the prince of chaos..... yay.... SFIL is coming over tomorrow to make the jacket (its half purple half orange, completely covered in swirls) talk about leaving it to the last minute. At least I've had my outfit sorted for months (years even, was made for me for another wedding!)!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/06/2014 22:41

I'm totally over moving now.

Missjasper · 03/06/2014 23:18

Oh my god sassah you have just made me a very happy pregnant woman!! Didn't even know HG existed until you mentioned it but I've just been googling and it's so wonderful to have a name for it!! And selfishly know that I'm not alone too :-)
Thankyou xx

miraculous2 · 04/06/2014 00:06

Looooooooooooong day. Phew.

Actually, it was a great day. Got to tell two lovely girlfriends, god I love people's reactions to twins! Had a nice network meeting this morning (I work in the arts - these things are nice!) and a HILARIOUS session with some yoof in the afternoon with proper belly laughs, tears, the lot. Set me up for a slightly silly choir rehearsal at night and a ginger beer and some gossip at the pub after. I feel frickin awesome - praying this is the way of the 2nd tri...

Well done all you scan ladies and your wee beans! And thanks for the anti D reassurance (I'm in the 'anything that helps' camp). I am so excited about my babies - oh bloody hell I nearly forgot - midwife who gave us the twins/ Downs chat called to let me know they're both low risk for Downs. Yay/ phew! Relieved as there was no other screening option so it could have been the bigger, scarier chat next.

I got a big bottle of Bio Oil in a groupon deal for less than half price and have been using it daily for a few weeks - it's not looking like I'll get through it all by pop-time but I guess this bump is going to get a hell of a lot bigger... My wee sis reckons it's great and worked wonders for her, said she also bought a fakey one from Boots and it smelled like chip fat. I also swear by coconut oil for a gazillion things and heard it's amazing for stretch marks - you can spend a fortune on organic virgin coconut oil packaged for the beauty market or you can get a tub of exactly that for 2 quid something in the world foods section in Tesco. I used to live in a place where the locals made organic virgin coconut oil - this stuff is just as good.

Okay, got to try and wind down the buzz now - midnight again!

Excited for you all too. Squee!
