I am convinced tonight something is going to go wrong. Feel like AF about to arrive. Am just convinced.

Am driving DH mad. I think I am going to go to bed and see if I can sleep.

Hope you managed to get some rest Lulu.

Just seen the new series of OBEM is on next week. I've been an addict since the first series. Feels surreal that I'll be watching it for the first time actually being pregnant! Meep!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/06/2014 06:26

vivi ah love my OBEM. So happy its is starting up again.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/06/2014 06:31

Sunshine, may I ask what IUI is? Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Lulu, dh would kill me if I did that- which is a good job else I would all the time!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/06/2014 06:33

Oh and as for the showing part- I just look chubby! My aunt is convinced I am showing though. 10 weeks today!!!

ChineseFireball · 05/06/2014 06:43

So sorry, Blue. Look after yourself x

About me... I'm 38, been with DH 11 years and married for 5 come end of August. Will be just 39 when Arthur arrives (the last bump was called Bert Smile). DH is a something-to-do-with-computers. I think a systems and software engineer but I don't ask because what he does means he can't tell me much anyway . I am a civil servant.

10+5 and still nauseous. Sorry ladies. Had a spew yesterday morning but nothing yet today. Would recommend not massively stocking up on what you currently really want to eat. I have a cupboard full of club biscuits which I wanted 2 weeks ago and now just looking at the cupboard makes me heave. Sigh.

sunshineandbiscuits · 05/06/2014 06:44

Keep IUI stands for Intrauterine Insemination. Artificial insemination, in other words, but where they place the sperm directly in the uterus to increase chances of conception, rather than in the vagina.

ChineseFireball · 05/06/2014 06:47

Oh and here's my bloat. Not bump. And this is first thing in the morning. Excuse the pyjamas. It grows during the day. I am REALLY struggling to hide it!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/06/2014 06:59

sundhine ah I see! Thanks or explaining. It is awesome what they do these days isnt it. Congrats to you :)

chinese wow you really have a bump! How far along are you again?

ChineseFireball · 05/06/2014 07:00

I'm 10+5 Shock

KeepOnPloddingOn · 05/06/2014 07:00

Chinese- sorry just saw up thread you are 10+5!
Deffo a bump there. I agree with cravings changing. Happened to me too. The thought I toast and marmite makes me heave now.

Loobyloo893 · 05/06/2014 07:05

I don't have a bump yet, just feel fat! My clothes are too tight, but I refuse to get my maternity clothes out at 7 weeks lol. With DS I was still wearing my normal skinny jeans at 20 weeks and now have had to swap to my fat day jeans every day already Smile

Ikkleme · 05/06/2014 07:21

Am just getting fat, I have done weight watchers to maintain a ideal weight for around 4 year (I look at food and put weight on) so now I'm more relaxed people are like thought u were dieting... I'm like ahh can't get into it ATM!

I have my booking in app on sat and I will be 8 weeks but my friend said to say you unsure for a early scan fx this is the case as i would love reassurance that it is all real and not just in my head :-)
Me and DP have been talking names already and i had already picked all my stuff out before my BFP ttc since feb makes you a little obsessed with baby stuff

ChineseFireball · 05/06/2014 07:25

is anybody else finding the d-day stuff is really making them emotional? I keep seeing the vets talking and trying to hold back their tears and it's all I can do not to sob myself Sad they were all so young Sad

ViviPru · 05/06/2014 07:42

Wow Chinese that's a proper neat bump!

I'm massively emo right now over pretty much anything. But happy emo. I watched the Sam Smith highlights from radio 1's big weekend yesterday and couldn't stop wailing. At a singer. Singing some songs. Hmm

10 weeks today for me. Of all the size comparisons online, I think
I like kumquat best Grin

EnglishGirlsReturned · 05/06/2014 07:45

Well although I've definitely put on weight I wouldn't say I'm looking at all pregnant......Starts worrying again!!

bedsidemanor · 05/06/2014 08:38

Wow, that's some bump Chinese!
I weighed myself at the weekend and I seem to have lost weight but am still getting quite podgy around my middle! Wearing a dress today without its normal belt which looks a bit suspicious but at least it's comfy!

Really interesting to read all the different stories from everyone - lovely that everyone has such backgrounds but we're all going through this life-changing experience at the same time Smile

DH and I have been together almost 10 years (met the second day of university) and married for 10 months. We moved to Brussels 5 years ago, just for a few months, but have been ever since. DH teaches at the international schools and I work for an NGO.

MightyQuin1201 · 05/06/2014 08:49

Hi there,

About me- I've been with DH 5 1/2 years, married nearly two. I'm 39 & DH is 41. This is our first and we we're ttc for a year. I have bipolar disorder so I'm basically in panic mode and worrying that everything is going to go wrong because we want this so much. I'm only 6+5 & hoping to see the mw soon so she can make sure my perinatal referral is processing.

I work full time with an hour's commute into town and DH runs own business from home, but I am definitely the main breadwinner! We bought a beautiful house last year and love being out of London.

I'm basically feeling nauseous and hungover most of the day and went to bed last night at 8.30! DH & I are really excited but I am absolutely terrified...

MightyQuin1201 · 05/06/2014 08:55

Just sitting on the train & the woman next to me is reading The Mail and there's a big article with the title 'Pregnant & Paranoid' about women who are buying DIY ultrasound machines... Confused

lindamagoo · 05/06/2014 09:04

You can buy your own ultrasound machine? Wow. I had a shot of my friends Doppler last night and managed to catch a wee glimpse of my little sea monkeys heart rate, 193 bpm Smile

Saraswati · 05/06/2014 10:04

Really linda that's amazing! I thought dopplers didn't work until 16 week - tempted!!

chinese my bump is a bit like yours! definitely bump and not just extra podge around the middle. It's getting impossible to hide, seeing my already suspicious friend this afternoon. Have decided if she asks I'm just going to lie. She'll understand when I tell her! I haven't even told my mum yet and want her to be the first know.

I'm an emotional wreck like everyone by the sounds of it! I cry at the drop if a hat, even just thinking about certain things set me off. When we had our scan on sat we went for lunch after, walked in the restaurant and they were playing 'here comes the sun' by the Beatles which we played when we signed the register at our wedding. I properly broke down, tears of happiness, and am welling up just thinking about it now! The lyrics seemed very fitting after finding out the bean was healthy.

ViviPru · 05/06/2014 10:09

Sara what a moment that must have been... I'd have been in pieces too!

Camsie30 · 05/06/2014 10:51

Sunshine, my IUI worked 2nd time too! Did you watch it happen? My Dr scanned me whilst doing the procedure so I basically saw the conception! It was amazing!

I'm really struggling with paranoia this week, is anyone else? Stories of mmc are scaring me and because I don't seem to have a lot of symptoms I'm finding it hard not to worry. Anyone else??

ViviPru · 05/06/2014 11:02

Wow Camsie watching it happen sounds incredible!

Friends of ours underwent IUI around the time DH and I conceived and I've been surreptitiously keeping an eye on their facebook and studying photos to guess if they've conceived.... Hope so, they'd make great parents (It might be YOU!)
