blitzy keep hydrated and try not to worry. Is it so bad you need to take painkillers? Stomach/intestinal issues can make you feel crampy, as you know, and it might even just be that cheeky hormone relaxin causing the issue anyway rather than a virus. Your body is already preparing to move all the other organs out of the way to make room for a nice big bubba so there will probably be lots of stretching pains to come in the next few months :)

RPopz · 04/06/2014 17:00

I'm feeling a bit panicky ladies. I've got a sebaceous cyst on my chest which is suddenly infected today. Very red and painful. Bloody GP won't see me or speak to me tonight though.... just have to ring up in the morning to try and get an app. Really hoping its not an infection that could affect the bean. Probably being totally ott! Confused

KeepOnPloddingOn · 04/06/2014 17:50

Livvy- dh is very fortunate with his shifts as he works in a department store. However, he is working for my brother at the moment too. I think te police would be pretty demanding time wise too tbh. So long as he is happy I guess. Thankfully the second job is only temporary , then he will be home a lot with us :)

Vivi- we will probably go to the scan and be three weeks out or something - haha

Blizy- aww dont worry - try to keep hydrated and google the diet suggested for diahrea - Apple sauce, toast, rice - and I cant remember the rest! I had it terrible for a few days. Was hell. I'm fine now though :)

Bugaboom · 04/06/2014 17:51

Hi rpotz. I'm new. Just seen your post and I'm sure it will be fine. I think it is bigger infections like chicken pox/ rubella etc that can affect pregnancy. Sounds very local to the cyst so I'm sure it is fine to wait til tomorrow to speak to GP. In my first pregnancy I had a urinary infection for a couple of weeks (no symptoms so unaware) which didn't affect baby.
If you start to feel unwell with it I would call nhs direct

RPopz · 04/06/2014 18:36

Thanks Bug - I know you're right. I'm just super cautious right now! Blush Will have to book in with GP tomorrow morning x

Thanks Mad - I think I'm feeling ok but its hard to know with having ms anyway! Just freaked out a bit this morning because it was oozing in the shower (sorry!) and massive! But seems to have calmed down a bit since then x

Starbright24 · 04/06/2014 19:13

I don't feel sick!!!!!!! Yay. First time in 2 weeks. (Although have now gone on to feel slightly worried instead)

Lovely to read all your stories :)
rpopz glad it seems a bit better cand hope you get to the doctors tomorrow.

I tried to phone to book a scan but my info seems to have got lost..so need to phone up gp to try and find it.
I've been with dp for 3 years. I'm 38 him 40. I want this more than him but he's still very lovely.
Told the bosses at work this week. All went well and they are supportive (yay..moved me out of yr 6 in sept)

Loobyloo893 · 04/06/2014 19:37

I'm watching the quads programme from last night. Its only been on 5mins and I'm already crying my eyes out!

LulusMiniEgg · 04/06/2014 19:55

I watched that today Looby! Was half crying in excitement and half in terror!

Saraswati · 04/06/2014 19:56

I just watched that! My god I'm so glad I know there's only one in there. They were born in the hospital where I'll give birth!

Sorry to blue Thanks

Decided to experiment today and not take my meds this morning as I'm 10 weeks I thought my sickness might be easing. BIG mistake, I'm an idiot :(

RPopz · 04/06/2014 20:33

Oh Saras you silly billy! Will they take a while to kick in again?

Saraswati · 04/06/2014 20:47

I'm feeling a bit better now, took two doses this afternoon, I am a silly billy rpopz Blush

So I'm seeing my best friend, aunt and mum over the next few days and DH just told me I 'better wear something baggy' I think he's trying to tell me I look proper preggo now!! Anyone feeling like they are showing?

haquoi123 · 04/06/2014 21:00

Wow, I've been out of this for a while!

blue I'm so sorry to hear about your mc xx

So lovely to hear everyone's stories! I'm 25, have been with DH for 5 years and last week had our 1st wedding anniversary. I'm self employed musician, as is DH - we figured we could wait until we earned enough money but there's no guarantee that'll ever happen! I'm hoping to take a couple of months off and then both of us will work part time and childcare.

Now experiencing the joy of MS - no vomiting but lots of gagging and being a pain in DH's arse. I don't know how you all cope! I don't know how I'm going to cope!! No one ever warns you about this bit!

RPopz · 04/06/2014 21:17

Horrendous isn't it Han. Fx its over soon for us all!

Saras I think my stomach is sticking out a bit already, but I just look a bit lardy rather than actually preggers!

HenriettaTurkey · 04/06/2014 21:19

So sorry, blue Thanks Thinking of you at this time. Take all the time you need for yourself to heal and grieve.

As we are sharing our stories, here is mine. DH and I together for 10 years; married for 3 1/2. We have a DS (2) who is currently still not asleep!

I am 37 and DH 40.

DH is a stay at home dad, although also a tutor in archaeology (outs self) and I am a teacher (SEN)

I've been off work for 5 months with a bad hip and am dreading going back and saying 'by the way, I'm knocked up'. They'll love me! Especially since my HG last pregnancy meant I missed a few months of work with it. Since bfp the hip seems much better, so clearly some of the hormones or similar are doing an amazing job at healing it.

DC2 will definitely be our last, and I am hoping (but not expecting) an ELCS combined with a sterilisation procedure.

Bugaboom · 04/06/2014 21:23

Saras I'm showing. Already been asked straight out by a colleague if I'm pregnant. And my DH has said there is no point in pretending I'm not when we see friends in three weeks (just before scan)!

phoebs88 · 04/06/2014 21:24

Rpopz I'm with you on the looking a bit lardy front! Am 7+2 but there is some definitive additional podge going on!

RPopz · 04/06/2014 21:37

Hehe, I think it's more noticeable as a little bump when I'm naked. But obviously I'm not naked out and about very often Wink so def just look a bit porky with clothes on. Can't wait for a real bump Grin

LuluJakey1 · 04/06/2014 22:03

I don't look any different around the middle- not exactly skinny lizzy round there at best of time. But my boobs have really grown and quickly.

I am obsessed with checking for AF. All day today I have thought I could feel it. Poor DH has had more bits of loo roll stuffed infront of him.

'Does that look a pale pinky colour to you?'

He is very patient . ' No love. Looks normal to me. Not pinky at all'

'Are you sure?' Pushes it infront of him again, after looking at it closely.

'Absolutely sure. And I'm an expert having seen more of your loo roll in the last 3 weeks than my own'. Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 04/06/2014 22:04

I can't believe this is what I have come to - showing DH loo roll all the time then sharing that I do that with other people. What does pregnancy do to your sense of TMI!!!!!!

Wow, I went on holiday for a few days and there are a lot of messages to catch up on! Holiday was amazing though - so nice to relax in the sunshine.

I've been having a lot of abdominal pains in the last few days. Not at all like period pains, more like a sharp tugging under the skin. I saw my GP for booking in this morning and she thought it was most probably ligaments stretching. I'm not exactly sure if I'm showing yet, sometimes I think I am. I definitely feel like my tummy is changing shape. I guess the bean is starting to grow at a pace around now so it's probably to be expected.

Blue so sorry to hear your sad news Thanks. Look after yourself.

It's nice to see everyone's stories. Here's mine. I'm 31, married to DW for 4 years. We met at University when I was 22 and she was 21. I'm an engineer, she's a civil servant. We always wanted kids and now seemed like the right time, so we started ttc through IUI earlier this year and very luckily conceived on our second try Smile

phoebs88 · 04/06/2014 22:07

So sorry for your loss blue Thanks
