Hope that works?!

Mslad as far as I'm aware there is no proven link between vit D and RLS, however I was under the impression that vit D was very important in pregnancy (and sleep) so it's a bit strange that your Dr advised you not to take it. Vit D is one of those things that isn't found naturally in foods so a supplement is the next best thing (especially in this country with the lack of sun like you say!)

Ah Sara my DH is a scouser too and I am a southerner! I just love Liverpool so much. We live in London at the mo (boo hiss) but are planning to move back up there (well nearby to Ormskirk) when we have the baby as it's better for family support and quality of life IMO. Also we can afford a massive house for the price of our teeny flat. Been up there all weekend with friends and I miss it. Can't wait to move back up Grin

HenriettaTurkey · 02/06/2014 18:02

Back from my booking in appt, and it went fairly well. They asked about me, previous pregnancy, and living arrangements, health conditions etc.

Then took 3 lots of blood, bp, height and weight.

Mentioned I wanted an ELCS and she says to mention it as hospital and they'll refer me to some people to talk me out of it to.

Trouble is, I know that not only does our hospital pride itself on its 5% CS rate, but also have a brand spanking new birthing centre with 7 birthing pools. It's less than a month old!

If they can help me get over the fact that sex was painful for a year after a VB, then good luck to them. Smile

Oh - and I've lost 2lb so far! How's everyone else doing?

Saraswati · 02/06/2014 18:13

How funny lulu people always comment on it because I'm from (snooty) surrey and he's from rough old Birkenhead!! I like it up there too but would never move, although having a big house would be nice ;) DH loves it but isn't close to his family and job opportunities are much better for his profession in the south. Plus we'll get a lot of support from my family with the baby that we wouldn't get from his. When are you moving?

henrietta I'm down 6 pounds already due to horrific ms, hoping it'll ease and I can put on some weight. Even though I've lost weight I have a proper rounded tummy, not going to be able to hide this for much longer!!

RPopz · 02/06/2014 18:19

I swear my tummy has got bigger since this morning!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 02/06/2014 18:19

Lulu and saras - I am a fellow liverpool fab :) from Kensington. I was born there but moved as a baba. I am now a southerner (but a northerner at heart ;) )

Love Liverpool and have loadsa family there. Much prefer it to where I live at moment, but dh has good work here. If I could move anywhere it would be back to scotland where my family are from - i studied there and miss it terribly!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 02/06/2014 18:22

henrietta I also requested a ELCS at my first midwife apt! Like you, it is gonna take a lot of convincing. I haemorraged last time and was really aneamic after - (plus I was induced and it was horrific, but I don't wanna bore with horrid details- or scare!)
I am gonna keep pushing for it as I am told by friends it is a lengthy process, trying to get a written confirmation ...

Mslad · 02/06/2014 18:24

Thanks for the advice oneday and mad I'm seeing my mw in two weeks, I'll talk to her about it then.

Henrietta & sara I feel like I've put on so much weight (all on my stomach)...I suppose I should be grateful I'm not being sick that much

LiveInABox · 02/06/2014 18:34

Just quickly popping on before my hols, been a busy few days and sorry I haven't read all the thread but wanted to report that I've had my early scan too and saw healthy heartbeat! They reckon I'm a week later that I think I am, but that's not actually possible because DH was recovering from an operation so I know exactly the latest date I could have conceived!! So not sure how that's worked out...

Anyway hope everyone else is well and by the time I get back from my hols the 12wk scans will be starting to happen so I will look forward to catching up!

Saraswati · 02/06/2014 18:38

Ah keepon I love Scotland too, would love to live in Edinburgh or just outside. My mum is from there so it feels like home, I would love my kid to have a wee scots accent but my DH wants to teach it to speak scouse Hmm

mslad I want to look a bit more pregnant by 12 weeks at the moment I've just lost my waist and have a rounded tummy. But I want to look properly pregnant when we tell everyone. Scan is two weeks tomorrow so I need to get carb loading (and keep it down) before then!!

blizy · 02/06/2014 18:46

Saras, I live Just outside glasgow. Love edinburgh, I Only live 40 mins away. Have survive the day, totally exhausted. I'm on the couch and ca t face moving to make dinner, think I will settle with some cheese and crackers.

Mslad · 02/06/2014 19:04

saras I know what you mean about wanting to look more pregnant, but I think we might regret that when we're really big and uncomfortable smile

KeepOnPloddingOn · 02/06/2014 19:22

saras and blizy my mum is fae glasgae so I pure felt at hame there when studyin fur ma degree, ken?

KeepOnPloddingOn · 02/06/2014 19:23

Ma ma is fae **
(You can tell i wasn't born there, haha)

I just love scotland and wish I had the accent, never mind my dc haha

LuluJakey1 · 02/06/2014 19:55

I have been so tired today- I could have just put my head down on my desk and gone to sleep this afternoon.

Got home to find DH had made tea - vegetable bake with veggie sausages for me and proper sausages for him. Fruit salad. I asked if I could do anything to help.

DH - I left the dishwasher love because I know how much t upsets you when I just stuff things in it. I thought you would want to do it yourself.

He is so thoughtful Wink Hates loading dishwasher and God forbid he would stop for a minute and use his common sense to load stuff in it instead of putting bowls in the wrong way up and overlapping things so they don't get clean

cheshirem2b · 02/06/2014 20:11

DH is at a meeting tonight so I had to sort my own dinner out... Potato waffles and beans! I couldn't think what to have and felt a bit queasy but that sorted me right out!
Had a really busy day representing people in court so I'm now on the sofa watching tv for the night! Wish I had an easy day tomorrow (having been working on call all weekend) but I've got a trial to do! Sad

cheshirem2b · 02/06/2014 20:12

lulu my DH is rubbish at loading the dishwasher! Says I've got OCD about it... No darling, you just don't do it properly! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 02/06/2014 20:26

cheshire I am now lying flat out on the sofa in complete exhaustion- too tired to even get up and go to the loo.
I have work to do - am Deputy Head in large school waiting for OfSTED. Just can't do it tonight.
DH making mug of tea. I think I will just go to bed after that and get up early.

deuscat · 02/06/2014 22:40

OneDay everything tastes off to me as well. It's really off-putting and totally random. Weird pregnancy taste buds!

Great news on the early scans today. Good luck for those coming up.

I've got my booking in appointment in the morning and I'm most nervous about being weighed. I'm fairly certain I've put on more than the recommended few pounds for the first trimester. Thing is, I wish I didn't care but u can't help but feel massive and guilty. I'm hoping I'll feel better when I have a proper baby bump and people know so that I don't have to hide my belly! Does anyone else feel similar?!

deuscat · 02/06/2014 22:50

If it makes a difference I'm usually only a size 6 to 8. And now half of my clothes don't fit! Pencil skirts and skinny jeans are out Hmm

ViviPru · 02/06/2014 23:25

OMG my DH is used at loading the dishwasher too! Which is utterly ridiculous as his job is essentially working out the most efficient way to arrange different sized and shaped 3D objects into a given space!

I'm ready for a proper bump too. At the moment I just look like a puffy version of myself with a chubbier than usual roll round my tummy Sad

ViviPru · 02/06/2014 23:26

*Useless not used!

Monstamio · 03/06/2014 05:53

Congrats on positive scans and good luck today Frances.

Another one with a tummy over here, but I just look fat not pregnant. I've got a generous massive arse and usually have a small waist and flat stomach. Without that it's not such a good look!

Gingerpanther27 · 03/06/2014 06:34

I've still got a bit of mummy tummy from ds plus ibs and possible gluten intolerance. After my food binge over the weekend I just look fat this morning on another note off to murder dp as I'm stuck on the toilet atm asked him to start getting ds ready cos I have to leave in half an hour and he's turned back over to sleep.
