Hi deus, I think people would smell a rat were I refusing cheese and wine too. It's hard when you're spending time in close proximity to people who know you well.

Glad to hear you've made it safely to week 8 and wishing you a healthy uneventful time from now on!

Saraswati · 31/05/2014 16:18

Hi ladies, thanks for the good luck messages you are all so lovely :)

Scan was AMAZING!! baby (only one!) looked perfect measuring 9+3 (I'm 9+4 by LMP) so no worries there. The lady was really thorough saw it's heart beating, little stumpy legs and arms wiggling and the cord pulsating away. She was so reassuring saying how good everything looked and that the sac, baby and my uterus all looked perfect and really healthy. I've got pictures I'll try and upload one later.

I feel so much better if anyone is considering an early scan, definitely do it. I would have paid 3 Times the price it was so worth it. A good scan at 9 weeks means we've got 98% chance of taking home a healthy baby so I'm glad we waited this long.

DH and I went for lunch after, we were a bit shell shocked, very happy but it feels very surreal now we are kind of allowed to be excited. Still going to keep it to ourselves until 12 weeks though, only got to wait until 17th June and now I know my little stumpy bean is ok I'm sure it'll go quickly.

english if you're reading this I hope you are ok! I would thoroughly recommend future babies as I think it was you who is in Bracknell area. The lady was so nice and it's very relaxing in there and you see the u/s on a big tv above the bed so you get to see loads.

Great news Saras Grin Kinda wish I'd had an early scan but seems pointless now with only 3 weeks to go until the nhs one.... (slowest 3 weeks ever Angry )

I'm going to turn into some ginger/ peppermint after today I think! Still feel yukky though Sad

Loobyloo893 · 31/05/2014 17:20

That's fantastic news Saras. Still 6 weeks til I get a scan. Is time going super slow for everyone or is it just me?

phoebs88 · 31/05/2014 17:32

Whoop whoop, great news saras Grin

Mslad · 31/05/2014 17:36

Brilliant news saras Smile

Looby it's going so slow..... number 28 on this list: www.buzzfeed.com/sophiehammerl/29-things-you-learn-during-your-first-trimester-5i6x

MademoiselleG · 31/05/2014 17:40

Hurray saras ! Great news! I've lost my little bet with myself that you were having twins then Wink

blizy · 31/05/2014 17:41

Fab news saras

Loobyloo893 · 31/05/2014 17:43

Haha mslad that's brilliant, and so very very true Smile

EnglishGirlsReturned · 31/05/2014 17:46

That great news Saras - I think I will book in there sometime between my next reassurance scan and the 12 week one if all is well. Neurotic? Me?? Never!! Gald you've had a lovely day!!

Hello to everyone else and any newbies I might have missed. Trying to keep a low profile until I'm a bit further along. Hope those with ms feel better soon.

Saraswati · 31/05/2014 17:49

I'm very happy you were wrong mademoiselle just one baby that obviously hates me ;)

looby I found after about 7 weeks the time has gone a lot more quickly, so do not despair. The first couple of weeks were awful but since then it's been much better.

Loobyloo893 · 31/05/2014 18:04

I hope so Saras. It will be a long 9months otherwise! Smile

phoebs88 · 31/05/2014 18:18

Haha mslad, that made me chuckle. #27 in particular sounds v familiar right now!

Saraswati · 31/05/2014 19:11

Sorry english cross posted, I was a wreck before today, it's completely understandable (and normal) to be neurotic. If DH would let me I'd go for a scan every week!! (and use his credit card hehehe)

LuluJakey1 · 31/05/2014 19:15

Saras That is good news! That's what we did on Tuesday, had the scan then treated ourselves to lunch a bit shell- shocked.

I have not felt nauseous once today. DH and I have been for a walk on the beach- a limp in his case- done the shopping, sat in the garden and are about to have a takeaway.

Easy day!

CallingAllEngels · 31/05/2014 19:24

Sorry to hear about all the people suffering with ms Sad

My symptoms seem to have settled down now, except tiredness and being out of breath within 5 minutes of physical activity.

Roll on the scan on Friday. Then we can tell friends and the rest of our family Smile

Hi, My EDD is Jan 3ed. I only found out I was pregnant with my 2ed baby 4 days ago after going to the Dr's as had had what i thought was my period for 4 weeks. I had a scan the next day and all thankfully all was ok and I'm 9 weeks today. Although I'm still bleeding I bled for the first 3 months with my first pregnancy (11 years ago) and he was fine so hoping for the same this time.

LuluJakey1 · 31/05/2014 19:45

mummy my ED date is 4th January! It is my first. So far so good.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 31/05/2014 20:07

Glad the scan went well saras :)

Dec2013mummy · 31/05/2014 20:44

Congrats mummy :) Lulu mine is the 4th as well... Exactly 13 months after my Ds.

Well I have been ILL today!! Haven't stopped being sick since 5 this morning. This is what I was like every day with Ds so just hoping it's a one off. I can deal with some sickness.... But this is unbearable :( hope everyone else is feeling ok

Dec It's awful isn't it? I had two bad days with it on Wednesday and Thursday and everything seemed to make it worse. In the end my FIL got ginger tea and ginger biscuits for me and it did make a difference.

Haven't had it at all today. Hoping hormones have settled down.

DH- who likes to understand the far end of everything- has been on the internet and says it often improves around 9 weeks so here's hoping.

Saraswati · 01/06/2014 07:38

Here's my little stumpy legged bean! I was surprised just how baby like it looked, even though it's still quite blobby. I can't stop looking at the photo and still can't quite make the connection that what is in the picture is squirming around inside of me!

lulu I hate to say it but 9 weeks has been the worst few days for me so far (even on medication) but everyone is different so here's hoping you start to feel better soon!!

dec sorry you are feeling so bad! I totally feel your pain. If it continues please see your gp you don't want to get dehydrated. I was like that before I got the medication although I'm still sick 2/3 times most days (with the odd super sick day) it's confined it to mostly in the morning so once I've got it out the way I can get on with my day and it's taken the edge off the all day nausea too. There is a really supportive HG thread too if you have any questions, they are all very knowledgable.

cheshirem2b · 01/06/2014 07:55

sara that scan picture is amazing! Congrats!

Tilly28 · 01/06/2014 07:56

Love the scan piccy sara it does look like a proper baby!! I had mine at 6+4 and now I'm wishing id waited until now as I just want to see him/her again and still got 2 weeks 5 days (yes I'm counting) until my 12 week scan.

Symptoms come and go here, I'm tired most of the time and hungry all the time. Got such bad wind too and tmi but sometimes I can't go and other times it's the opposite. The joys of early pregnancy. I really feel for those of you being sick, I have a terrible phobia of sick and I'm still anxious that I might be at some point! :-/
