Oh Linda, I really hope it's ok. everything crossed for you Thanks

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 14:34

The hospital just called - my bloods came back with low blood sugar. They want me to go back for another blood test. I'd eaten a big meal about 45 mins beforehand so it shouldn't have been low. This happened to anyone else?

gingysmummy · 28/05/2014 14:40

MelMc73 · 28/05/2014 14:49

Welcome vivipru......

looby soft play anytime is my idea of hell but your experience sounds horrendous!

fancy - I had the opposite with DS - high blood sugar and had to go for a glucose test. It came back clear though. I'm sure they'll be able to prescribe you something or give you some diet advice to help combat it.

ViviPru · 28/05/2014 14:58

Thanks Mel.

All the best for you Linda & gingy. Thanks

Loobyloo893 · 28/05/2014 15:22

Hope all is ok Linda and gingyThanks
Had my 'early bird' appointment with midwife. She was lovely and really reassuring. Confirmed I'm high risk because of high blood pressure so will have to be consultant led and induced at 40wks if baby hasn't arrived.

blizy · 28/05/2014 15:43

I have everything crossed for Linda and gingy.
I have been trying to get through to EPU all day. Dr told me to call them to book a reassurance scan around the7/8 week mark. They have a system where you call, leave a message and they get back to you - still waiting. I will be under consultant care too because of my history.

cheshirem2b · 28/05/2014 15:56

linda & gingy fx for you ladies that all is well with those little beans. Thanks

MrsCK · 28/05/2014 15:58

Linda and Gingy Keeping everything crossed for both of you...Thanks

fancy are you a teacher?

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 15:59

Yes MrsCK - along with a ton of others on the thread! We're everywhere...

EnglishGirlsReturned · 28/05/2014 16:09

Sorry you're worrying again Gingy. Hopefully both you and Linda will be absolutely fine. Thinking of you both

MrsCK · 28/05/2014 16:15

Ah brilliant, what do you teach? I teach Science...not really sure when to tell my school either...they will be doing timetabling for next year soon and don't want to be given vital classes if I'm not going to be here! Is it your first?

lindamagoo · 28/05/2014 16:23

Arghhh MrsCK another teacher! Who's going to teach all the kids next year when you are all off on mat leave, lol Smile

haquoi123 · 28/05/2014 16:24

Fancy, Linda & gingy fingers crossed for you all!

I had my first chat with the doctor today and told her about my cramping and slight bleeding. She's sending me for a scan tomorrow morning to rule out an ectopic pg and see if bean is happy... Sorry of sh**ng myself, fx

ilovelamp78 · 28/05/2014 16:31

Welcome to all the new BFPs on the January bus!
Crossing all my fingers for linda and gingy

Hope you are all having a carb-tacular day with minimal blowing of chunks!
Xx

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 16:34

I teach a specialist subject at secondary - don't really want to say which in fear of outing myself!
Back from the hospital - she told me to switch all the carbs I've been craving for healthy food and to have 6 small regular meals a day. Bloods round 2 back tomorrow!

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 16:34

Fingers crossed for scan tomorrow Haquoi!

MrsCK · 28/05/2014 17:07

Good Luck at your scan Haquoi...Is cramping normal in early pregnancy? I still am getting the odd twinge here and there. (Sorry for so many questions...obvious I'm a newbie!)

Fancy understand about not wanting to give away too much!

gingysmummy · 28/05/2014 17:17

Thanks everyone, I'm totally exhausted don't know if it's pregnancy or worry related. Feel like crawling into bed but I'm a beaver leader so have the joy of that for 2 hours tonightConfused

fancyacupoftea · 28/05/2014 17:18

I bloody hope they're normal MrsCK as I've been getting them since before I got my BFP! I asked the midwife yesterday though and she said if they're twinges then it's fine but if it ever feels like period pain then to contact them. Mine have all been more localised than period pain.
I forgot to comment on you wondering about telling the head! I told mine last week and glad I did as it will be an arse replacing me. I think if you don't think it will be an issue though then you could hold off for a bit. You're right about the exam classes though - Autumn term is always the busiest in some ways so having as little as possible might be better. Plus a change of teacher might mess them up a bit!

MrsCK · 28/05/2014 17:44

Hmmm that's what I thought...I also think know it will be hard for them to find a replacement for me, which I hadn't thought of before really! Probably better to let the head know sooner rather than later so they can think about it.

Glad the twinges seem to be normal! I am such a worrier, worry about everything! I have a MW apt next Friday so will no doubt ask her loads of questions!!

I have a scan date, it's the 11th June I will be 7+3. I've been getting wee twinges to, mostly in my groin area.
