haha properly laughed out loud when I saw that weebairn!!

I'm sleeping well, boobs don't hurt anymore, morning sickness has gone and all of this is making me not feel pregnant. I can't say I like it much!!!! Grin

mrshjb · 30/05/2014 07:18

Haha how many weeks are you now misskgb?

I still can't through to a midwife, getting a bit annoyed with it now. Left another message yesterday so hopefully someone will ring me back today......!!

Happy Friday everyone :)

Did anyone else find that they were very very bloated in the early days?!

OP posts:
misskgb · 30/05/2014 09:15

yeeeeessssss!!! I think that's why I'm finding it so difficult now- I feel smaller and tummy is softer than it has been in weeks!

mrshjb · 30/05/2014 09:56

I

Stupid phone....

I'm bloated from first thing in the morning and it goes crazy after I've eaten. I've always struggled with bloating but not constantly like this! Bra is getting tighter too. Which is quite welcome for me because I don't usually have any boobs Haha!

Does the bloat go down then?!

OP posts:
KikiThePea · 30/05/2014 11:47

Oh, the bloating! Boo to the bloating. I was bloated from very near the beginning through almost the whole time I had morning sickness. It's why I ended up in maternity jeans so early - I just couldn't cope with the fact my jeans felt like they were trying to cut me in half.

It disappeared in the final few weeks of morning sickness, to be replaced by a much more expected bump (which looked tiny for ages and suddenly went mad!)

Ladymillion · 30/05/2014 13:54

Hey peeps, I had my gender scan today... It's a BOY! So good to see him wriggling around again! At first the cord was in the way of his willy but then he moved and there it was, clear as day haha! DP is over the moon and we went shopping straight after for more gender-specific baby clothes. Smile It's great, we can now call 'it' HE! I still can't quite believe it, what's it going to take for me to start believing that this miracle is happening to me haha

mrshjb · 30/05/2014 14:08

Arrrrrgh how exciting!!!! So pleased for you and also can't believe how fast that's come round :)

Huge congratulations :)

Boo to the bloat Kiki. I've ditched some of my tighter pants too!

Wonderful news, Lady! I think it might take actually giving birth to believe that it's really happening....and even then I'm not so sure! And this is coming from someone who is currently being used as a baby punching bag as I type, and has been pretty much in the same position since about 6 o clock this morning....

misskgb · 30/05/2014 14:49

yay Lady! :-) DH was stroking my tummy last night and said he couldn't believe there's a little person growing in there.

Kiki I can't wait to feel the kicks, just so I know rice krispie is definitely still in there!

H- I've been in maternity leggings/trousers practically every day since 4 weeks as I did not want anything going across my tummy. Some days were better than others, but urgh, even the thought of something across the middle of my tummy made me feel sick!!

mrshjb · 30/05/2014 18:14

Aww I'm so excited for the start of scans and babies moving and everything! All seems like such a long time off from the lofty heights of 5w2d!! Lady did you have an early gender scan?

misskgb I can totally understand that. I bought some maternity eans from Primark aaaaaaages ago when I needed some black skinnies and they didn't have any in my size. But now I am actually pregnant I feel too scared to wear them! Sounds a nice moment with DH!

binkybunny · 30/05/2014 22:32

lady thats lovely and how exciting!!! It must be sooo nice to be able to say he instead of all the he/she/it we're still in at the moment.

Bloat is def a big part of early pregnancy. Have been in mat trousers from week 12 but could have been in them at lot earlier. I ended up digging out my 'fat' clothes. My mum persuaded me to keep some of them when I lost weight incase I decided to have kids one day!

Has anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend?

mrshjb · 31/05/2014 09:32

Yeah one of my friends didn't find out and was trying to convince me not to the other day, but I said I want to be able to say him/ her and start to think of them as a little boy or girl! (I do understand that a surprise will be really nice too for those of you not finding out!)

Haha I do have a few pairs of jeans that are way too big for me, so maybe I'll have to dig those out as well!

Not many exciting plans for me. Want to get some fresh air mainly, seen as it looks like the weather is finally getting better! Think Dh's Mum is coming round tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous because he doesn't want to tell her until after the 12 week scan and I feel like I'll come out with something that will make her suspect! That and the fact that we usually have a wine when she comes round!!

What's everyone else up to?

OP posts:
misskgb · 31/05/2014 09:52

Im currently in bed. Dhs parents have just arrived to help with some housey bits. Im gonna have a shower first! Watching the boxing tonight, swimming tomorrow then seeing some friends & my sister. Not much!

Now u know H, you'll think everyone knows n everyone is talking about u. Paranoia Will set in!

binkybunny · 31/05/2014 10:04

H I thought everyone knew but theres still loads of people that dont. They obviously think I've just got v fat!

Today we are supposed to be going for a hike up a mini mountain... But I'm still in bed! I've had a crazy few weeks at work so knackered. Also I slipped in the kitchen last night. Didnt fall but have pulled muscles everywhere. Already think I might have SPD from the pains in my hips and lower back so dont think this helped!

Still going to try and get up the hill though this afternoon.

weebairn · 31/05/2014 11:12

I'm trying to study for my evil mega exam while my mum and dad distract grumpy toddler....

binkybunny · 31/05/2014 12:16

Aww dont envy you weebairn :-( Hope you have a productive day!

binkybunny · 31/05/2014 19:07

Yay finally made it up a mountain! Just a mini one but it was nice to see a summit again! Can hardly move now though v sore back and hips so will be heading for a bath after veggie lasagne and a bottle of Becks Blue :-)

mrshjb · 01/06/2014 09:39

Congratulations binky! Bet you're well impressed with yourself!

Hope the revising went well weebairn and good luck for the test!

Midwives finally phoned me back yesterday but it turns out that the GP receptionist had given me the wrong number and they don't cover my area, so I've got a number for the local children's centre to ring on Monday!

misskgb · 01/06/2014 13:30

What a nightmare h! Hopefully you'll get somewhere tomorrow.

Well done binky. Ive just been swimming with dh & man it was hard! I can't say I enjoy actually swimming (I like being in the water) but I suppose its good for me n rice krispie!

When is your exam weebairn?

Now we're in june it doesn't feel long til my 20 week scan (26th). Super excited to see little wriggle bum again!

mrshjb · 02/06/2014 08:23

I know, pain in the bum or what!

I actually quiet enjoy swimming, but I know a lot of people who don't! Like you say it's good for you both and it should continue to be one of the easiest forms of exercise right up until you're due so hopefully you'll enjoy it more as time goes on....!!

Ooh how exciting. I can't wait to have a scan to countdown too. I don't think mine will be until middle of July though. Booooo!!

Hi all!

Had scan this morning, was so nervous. All ok though. Strong heartbeat and a super wriggly baby. Took ages for the sonographer to manage to get all the measurements. I ended up apologising Grin One minute the baby was on his tummy, then on his back, then on his side, legs crossed, uncrossed, arms behind head, arms in front of face, stretched out, curled in a ball. It went on and on and on Grin In the end she asked me to cough to shift the baby into a different position and finally she could measure the fluid on the neck and the length of the baby. Due date has been shifted forward to 7th December so I'm now 13+1! Seems like a massive shift from 12+4!

I'm still utterly convinced their dates are wrong as I know when I ovulated but I'm not going to argue - this now means the latest I'll have the baby is the 19th rather than 22nd so a bit further away from Christmas!

Have told a few people, and received lots of congratulations! Feels good to tell people. NT risk results should be back within 7-10 days if high risk, 3 weeks if low risk. Got to book midwife appointment for 3 weeks and then I have 20 week scan booked for 23rd July. Looking forward to going to the next scan with a bump Smile

binkybunny · 02/06/2014 14:50

Aw lovely to hear about your wriggly baby Chilly I seem to be the only person who a lazy baby, mine wouldn't move! It's so great telling people, I'm still having to tell people though, a girl at church got really embarrassed because she thought someone was implying I was pregnant and she didn't know. I was slightly peed off that she though my stomach could be this large!

Our 20 week scan tomorrow afternoon, hopefully just 24 hours until we know the sex of our baby :)
