I'm 29th September so yes! I know what you mean about the exhaustion. I've put it down to the heat and given in to it and sat on my arse most of the day researching cloth nappies! My feet are seriously swollen and I haven't done anything all day, I dread to think what they're going to like after a Saturday at work on my feet Hmm

weebairn · 13/06/2014 17:59

Ah poor you. I work on my feet too - it sucks!! Are your work nice to you? There is this one male nurse who gets me drinks and lets me sit down, but he is literally the only one!

I have just got back into cloth nappies the last few months (I used them from about 3 months to 12 months then gave up with one thing and another, life was just too busy for while!!) and enjoying saving money and toddler looking so cute in them again!

misskgb · 13/06/2014 22:37

Lots going on this weekend as its my birthday on Tuesday! :-) meal out with father in law Sunday n seeing my Dad in the week for his birthday too. Not getting dh anything from bump tho I know some people do

Got hot a few times-trying not to get ratty! Did throw a strop earlier when I had nothing to wear as I put my maternity leggings in the wash! Stupid idea!!

Don't feel bad H-pregnancy is bloody difficult! Even when u can eat, dont feel sick n get a good nights sleep, its hard coping with no symptoms! Having other people know does help a bit so keep counting down to your scan!!

mrshjb · 15/06/2014 09:10

Morning everyone, hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

mrsb nice to hear from you again, glad baby is doing well. Does that mean that you've not found out if it's a boy or a girl? Are you not being sick at all now then?

Daddy box sounds lovely binky. How exciting to be feeling so much movement!

Had to laugh at your message weebairn but I'm also slightly terrified. The only thing keeping me going at the minute is the prospect it gets a bit easier later down the line and you've shattered that illusion for me!

misskgb hope you've had a lovely birthday weekend, can't imagine a birthday without wine!!

First midwife appointment for me tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it and I hope it makes it all feel more real!

Have a lovely day everyone :)

Oh Helen - first trimester is the worst! I didn't even have the strength to whinge then Wink I am tired but it's not the tiredness of first trimester where you just want to sleep all day long. And I'm not sick.

I've got a huge exam in a few weeks, it's two days long and I've been doing 2-3 hours work a day for it on top of real work and toddler etc, so once that is out the way hopefully I 'll manage better…

Doesn't help the toddler has gone back to waking up in the night and getting up at 5am!!

Enjoy your midwife appt Helen. How many weeks are you now?
Have a lovely birthday weekend missk (I get so confused with all the mrs and misses on here!)

mrsb87 · 15/06/2014 21:22

h how many weeks are you? I had a really rough first trimester all the way upto 20wks. Nope we do this know if it's a boy or a girl! I had a feeling it's a girl, but looking at the scans a lot of people say boy so who knows?! Yep still sick first thing every morning, I call it the bile run, it's lovely!
wee yes work have been pretty good, I've had my hours reduced so I'm working less hours but more days which are easier to cope with! But yes working on my feet is really taking its toll in this heat!

mrshjb · 16/06/2014 08:07

Argh just typed a long message and managed to delete it on my stupid iPad. I'll try again!

I'm 7+5 today. I know that I shouldn't moan really because I haven't been sick once so I know it could be so much worse. I think the hardest part is that you don't really feel like yourself at all. I feel like my whole life is revolving around food and when I can rest! I'm really hoping that I feel much better when I can count down to my scan!

weebairn sounds like you've got a lot going on at the minute, so I'm not surprised you're getting a bit fed up. Hats off to you!

mrsb I feel really guilty moaning compared to you as well. Being that sick must have been absolutely awful and to still be being sick now is really cruel! Is it expected to carry on until the end of your pregnancy?

mrshjb · 16/06/2014 15:01

Scan date is 9th July, when I reckon I'll be 11 weeks but as expected they went from LMP. Also go another midwife appointment on Thursday at home. Guessing they come for a nosey!

mrsb87 · 16/06/2014 16:23

Don't feel guilty, the nausea is just as bad as the vomiting if not worse! My sickness will probably carry on now and I'm pretty much used to it as part of my daily routine!

mrshjb · 17/06/2014 07:58

God that really does sound grim!

Had the day off work yesterday for my appointment and it was amazing how much better I felt last night compared to a work day. I was concerned because I didn't feel pregnant. Even boobs weren't hurting in the same way! Woke up this morning to my alarm and already feel awful!

Did anyone tell work before the 12 weeks? I'm tempted to tell my manager so I can have Thursday and my scan morning off for free and also so she might cut me a bit of a slack. DH is a bit nervous because we work for the same company and he doesn't want it getting out!

OP posts:
binkybunny · 17/06/2014 21:27

Hi all, how's everyone on here? H honestly, for most people it does get better. I thought I was going to die for the first 13 weeks and have generally felt ok since week 13/ 14. Now I'm moving into heartburn and constipation territory so as soon as you feel ok make the most of it, I think I have missed most of the 'bloom'!

I told work at 5 weeks as I was sure MIL was going to post it all over Facebook as she was threatening too. I'm glad I did as I got a bit of leeway coming in later and calling in sick, although I was still made to feel guilty about sick day by some people in the office. I do understand why other people don't want to though and I think everyone in the office is getting sick and tired of hearing about the baby now as they have known for so long.

mrshjb · 17/06/2014 21:58

Binky it's really hard isn't it. Feeling a bit emotional today, just so worried that something is going to go wrong. I really need to just step away from google! It all started because my boobs aren't as sore today!

I ended up telling my manager today, just makes it so much easier to get time off work when I need it. She was really good about it :) Did you tell all your colleagues at 5 weeks?

Happy birthday misskgb Cake

8 weeks tomorrow, another milestone!!!

OP posts:
mrsb87 · 17/06/2014 22:18

I told my manager and assistant manager at 6 weeks but they already guessed! I needed to tell them anyway as I was so sick. It worked in my favour though as pregnancy related sick leave doesn't count against your record. They can make allowances for you if they know sooner too!

Lolly84 · 17/06/2014 23:43

Hy everyone

Just checking in. Hope everyone is ok and any nasty symptoms are going away. My most annoying symptom (although not as bad as sickness etc) is what I called 'can't decide what to eat syndrome'. I was nearly an hour in tesco express earlier trying to decide what to have for dinner. Have been eating like I did when I was a student so husband is my healthy eating monitor. It has helped lots and been eating

So had my 16 week scan on thurs and was boring until midwife let me hear baby's heartbeat. Was so nice, she warned me that I will most likely not hear anything and then as soon as she put the monitor on my tummy you could hear a wee fast heart beat. Was such a relief to hear.

Going over to jersey at weekend for cuddles from my new niece. Can't wait. There is a baby boom around me and the girls are taking over. We find out what we are having 11th July.

H so normal to be going through worried stage. Just think you are on the less than 5 week countdown. I was feeling like that up until week 9 and then from 10-12 as didn't feel pregnant. I think week 9 was the first time I felt different and then it went away again. My boobs were my monitor and they were sore one day and not the next. Stay away from google (I didn't lol) as it just tells u rubbish. People on there advising you non factual info. The weaker the symptoms the weaker the preg, what a crock of beep. Xxx

Lolly84 · 17/06/2014 23:44

*eating more meat and veg instead of just pasta and sauces.

misskgb · 19/06/2014 22:53

Hi all. Had a lovely birthday thanks! Now getting ready to be on my feet all day Sunday at our biggest event of the year at work.

H u still find it difficult to eat certain things n I can't remember when I last finished a meal. 3 mouthfulls in at the restaurant last week n I was full to the brim!

I still wake up some days with sore boobs but generally they don't bother me now.

Oh heartburn n constipation binky-I feel ur pain. How annoying are they?!

20 week scan next Thursday n me n dh can't wait! ! :-)

binkybunny · 20/06/2014 12:49

misskjb as someone who had never really had either they are very annoying!

Your scan seems to have come round really quickly! Are you going to find out boy or girl?

mrshjb · 20/06/2014 15:22

Glad you had a nice birthday misskgb. How exciting that your 20 week scan is so soon!

lolly you're right google is really a bad thing when you're worried about anything! Hearing the heartbeat sounds lovely and not long at all until your 20 week scan either! It's less than 3 weeks now (9th July) until my scan so it's really not long to wait at all. Time really has been flying as well so I know it'll be here in no time, despite the fact I'll be spending every minute wishing time away!! Hope you have a lovely time seeing your new niece :)

I was supposed to have the second part of my midwife appointment yesterday but they cancelled on me at the time she was supposed to be turning up! Fortunately I guilted them into coming on Sunday because I'd taken time off work for the appointment. She was very nice about it but it's still a bit rubbish. Took yesterday afternoon and today off sick though. Just been absolutely shattered so I knew I wouldn't be productive at work. Have come to stay at my mums for a few days and it's very nice to have someone else to cook for you!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

Binky-if they can tell us we're going to find out but nit getting too hooked on it incase they can't

I felt the baby move on bank holiday Monday, the following Monday and then 5 days later n that last time was 2 weeks ago so just want to see it wriggling around and a beating heart tbh!

Im worried but I think its just in my head as I'm still growing n no signs anything us wrong so positive thinking! !

H I can't wait for you to tell us what your scan is like! :-)

Lolly84 · 22/06/2014 22:19

Any names ladies? We are going to think more seriously after scan.

Visiting my baby niece at the mo, feeling educated in the world of breast feeding. Xx

binkybunny · 23/06/2014 07:28

Hope you're having a lovely time in Jersey Lolly, would lovd to have been on the beach with this weather!

We have chosen Isabella Francine for our little girl. Hope we dont change our minds when we meet her as we dont really have any other choices!

mrshjb · 23/06/2014 17:54

Sounds like you're having a lovely time Lolly. Definitely can't argue with being off in this weather either :)

I've no idea about names. I thought I had one of each until I got pregnant and now I don't know about either!

Lovely name binky. Do they mean anything to you or just names you like?

Lolly84 · 23/06/2014 21:52

Beautiful name binky. Love it. Im currently cuddling my niece, had lots of cuddles for my last night. Gutted to be leaving tomorrow. Jersey weather has been lovely, beeb walking lots which is great as dont do much exercise.

Ive got the bounty app and a new name im loving is Jessie. Fave name is Sadie. Convinced Im having a girl as my sister and i have had identical symptoms xx

mrsb87 · 23/06/2014 22:04

Ooh lolly I bebet jersey has been lovely! Very jealous over here.

We're thinking Theadora Joan for a girl (a mixture of mine and dh's Nan's names) or Rufus or Dylan for a boy. We found boys names harder to narrow down! I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror this eve and have noticed I am a whale. An actual whale!
