Yikes Monster! Glad it's not leaking amniotic fluid, maybe it's just very watery and excessive CM. Hope bubs stays put a wee while longer.

I haven't sorted the baby clothes yet, I think I'll leave that till I'm off work at the end of this month, woohoo!!

ooh, thanks for the haagen daaz tip monsters! thought I should add that waitrose have "Buy one get 2nd half price" on newborn nappies, and they are already £1.30 cheaper than superdrug's own brand. Just trying a little price comparison jobby for essentials....

mssleepyhead · 02/07/2014 20:33

Reading a birth book and just burst into tears when reading the bit about cutting the cord and mother and baby being separated for the first time. Oh heck... Hormones!

topmammy · 02/07/2014 22:45

Aw mssleepy that is definitely a tear jerking thought! Probably mostly though as both baby and us are not ready for that bit yet :)

ilovemonstersInc · 03/07/2014 08:10

Never thought about that! Never been in a position to really. My body doesn't do delivering babies so everything is very rushed at that point.

Ds1 is asleep ds2 will fall asleep im debating do I get up and start cleaning or catch up on zzzz

ilovemonstersInc · 03/07/2014 08:56

Just in case anyone was wondering I got up to finish babys ironing lol.

DisneyDiva87 · 04/07/2014 09:06

Morning!

I was thinking you guys without FB should set up accounts with fake names (so real life people can't find you, you might want to create a new email specifically for it too) just so you can join the FB group, it's so much more active than here now. And if anyone you know does add you you can always decline the friend request and then deactivate your account later on?

OP posts:
ilovemonstersInc · 04/07/2014 09:16

Its the ass-ache of creating a fake email address and then a fake fb profile lol.

DisneyDiva87 · 04/07/2014 10:07

It would be worth it though :) you don't have to create a fake email but if you were wanting to remain 100% invisible to real life people it would help in case they searched for your email address.

I do have a fb account, just keep forgetting to get myself added onto the group. How do I do it again?

HungryHorace · 04/07/2014 17:49

PM any one of us you know is on it with your Facebook details and you'll get added. :-)

mssleepyhead · 04/07/2014 23:02

i have an invisible facebook account because of my teaching so i don't think anyone could find me to add me to the group : ( and i know it seems silly but i don't want to uninvisible myself! shame though, it is nice to hear how you're all getting on : )

how are people now we're getting towards the end? can you believe we're nearly there already??

i've started to feel like baby might be moving down a bit. i know that's too early (33 weeks) but i'm feeling bigger lower and at night especially i get a lot of lower pressure. bump seems a bit lower too.

ilovemonstersInc · 04/07/2014 23:14

Feeling pretty shit. I think hes still laid across as all my movements is across bump and dont feel all that pressure like last time.

Ms is it your first? They go head down pretty early iirc

As Monsters says, mssleepyhead, it's not too early for a first baby. :-)

DD was late engaging, but was still quite low by 33 weeks.

ilovemonstersInc · 09/07/2014 20:50

had some bleeding last night so came straight in. They sent me2 delivery due to contractions. Baby no longer transverse hes head down was back to back but ok no but dont know howlong for!
Had2 scans. Im 32weeks + hes measuring 36weeks.had 1 injection will have another tonight.

Ive lost plug now but been moved to maternity ward as they are trying to stop contractions with tablets which does for an hour or so but then they are back 10x worse.

Still getting good contractions now plan is watch and see if I labour asim.inlatent phase.

mssleepyhead · 09/07/2014 22:16

Oh monsters - are you ok? Is someone with you? It sounds like they're doing everything they can for you and 32 weeks is a good point development wise. Must be a big strong baby too : ) thinking of you and hope it all goes ok tonight x

secretlypregnant · 09/07/2014 22:57

Oh my goodness, Monsters, thinking of you tonight. Hope everything is all right - as mssleepyhead says 32 weeks is a good point. Hope you're getting the very best care, fingers crossed for you. x

HungryHorace · 10/07/2014 07:52

Monsters, I hope all is OK and you didn't go into full labour last night.

32 weeks is a good gestation though, as others have said.

ilovemonstersInc · 10/07/2014 10:49

Thank you. Managed to sleep with thr diamorphine. Absolutely love that stuff!

They dont understand why this is happening but theres only a tiny change to cervix which they arent too bothered about as its still relatively closed. The change ia the plug thats come away. I put 1 pair of new pjs in hosp bag and 1 old plus 2 nighties. So im trying to keep changing to a minimum. Have got some pain now but its bearable.

Plan is
1- if I go in to full labour they wont stop it
2 if I dont and can manage with just tablets then I cam go home tonight and come back next week to see consultant on Wednesday.
3 if im still getting pains that need diamorphine then they will induce next week.

Ive got pain and its around 5/6 out of 10. I can manage with that. But tightenings are starting after ive been for a walk for some breakfast. No one gave me no food for tea yesterday and hardly ate dinner (I cant eat during labour pains) and thats what this is stop start latent labour.

Thank you all for your support your all fabFlowers
on a few threads so im just copying and pasting my updates x

flymo79 · 10/07/2014 13:24

Had a horrible few hours with pain.

So im dosed up in lots of pain killers but still getting contractions and now body is 'bearing down like pushing' and pressure in bum. Cervix still closed but myllabours arw dragged out and I know it takes me a few days to dilate 3 cm! So I dont expect anything to happen immediately. They don't want me walking as itmakes contractions and pain worse so if I can they want me to stay on ward. Not had no dinner yet as I was in too much pain so will have to wait foe tea!

Babys heart rate was a lil suspicious so kept on monitor for a while longer. Kept dropping.
Contractions werent coming up on monitor and I did tellthem and I said I know im ggetting them but dont care if tbey aren't showing as all I want to know and make surw is thst my baby is ok and they agreed x
