Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Possibly monsters. I am already on aspirin and I do notice a difference in bleeding and bruising but nothing alarming.

ilovemonstersInc · 05/06/2014 15:05

I haven't Blush well I banged my leg really hard on the stupid baby gate and it bloody hurt (by accident lol) andI tthought shit im going to have a massive bruise tomorrow. Its been a few days now and there was a little lump but no bruise!
Bleeding wise im not allowed near our new extra sharp knives lol so not much to really report. I wont risk doing bikini line how I would normally so have been using veet.

Sounds like your blood is thin enough. Is there nothing they can give to help the placenta? Or they might just want to see how you go on tinz rather than aspirin.

eurochick · 05/06/2014 20:00

There seems to be nothing that can help beyond thinning the blood. They can't force the vessels to the placenta to dilate. All they can do is monitor the situation and figure out when it is best to get the baby out.

What is tinz?

ilovemonstersInc · 05/06/2014 20:03

Tinz is tinzaparin/heparin/inohep the blood thinning injections. Flowers hope they come up with a plan for you both tomorrow x

ilovemonstersInc · 06/06/2014 11:43

Feel hormonal today :( need a good cry I think.
Had lots of bh last night amd this morning then felt like I was periods with backache. Thank God its gone

HungryHorace · 06/06/2014 17:13

Sounds uncomfortable, Monsters. :-( Glad it's all calmed down now.

I've finished work now. Thank god! Can't wait to just relax again. :-)

ilovemonstersInc · 06/06/2014 18:40

Was out shopping and a few cashiers we know at that store conmented on how low I was. I could feel him grinding on my bones down there yuuuuk!

So is that it for work?

HungryHorace · 06/06/2014 18:59

Oh yuck. Sounds painful.

Yep, until next year. :-)

ilovemonstersInc · 06/06/2014 19:01

Lol. Feel like im bloody waddling everywhere! As you can tell I dont do being pregnant lol.

topmammy · 06/06/2014 21:42

Aw hope you feel ok now Ilove.

Well this week has gone quick! Lucky you Horace finishing work. But only 6weeks more to go till the school hols for me so not too much longer Grin

Had my 28w check up this week, everything fine and was measuring bang on average. Phew! Was convinced she'd say I was too big as I feel huge!

Hope everyone is feeling good Thanks

mssleepyhead · 06/06/2014 22:44

how times have changed... just spent all friday evening looking into reusable nappy options...! anyone else thinking of trying these? i'm considering bumgenius elemental but am worried - they seem like a big investment...

(ps. jealous, hungry! and topmammy, jealous a bit of you too. at my 28 week appointment this week my bump was 3cm over already!)

topmammy · 07/06/2014 12:59

I have thought about reusable nappies sleepy but I'm a bit put off by the inevitable extra washing and drying. Good though to use occasionally if you're not planning on going out all day I reckon though.

I wish I could work out what position baby is lying in. I guess at 28w baby can still move about quite a bit though.

eurochick · 07/06/2014 13:14

Thanks monsters. I've never heard of tinz. I've heard of all the others though. I'm glad you are feeling better today.

I'm considering reusables, sleepy. I take the view that I will just get myself through the newborn stage with disposables and figure it out once I have found my feet.

ilovemonstersInc · 07/06/2014 16:31

Euro forgot to ask what did they say at hosp

ilovemonstersInc · 07/06/2014 20:20

Babys movements have reduced a lot today. All day ive felt between 5-8 movements just downloaded the count the kicks app and did it for around 25mins laid on left side and nothing.
I did it after having my tea. Will get up and get something cold to drink and try again

ilovemonstersInc · 07/06/2014 20:20

Typical got a kick lol

eurochick · 07/06/2014 21:06

monsters thanks for asking. The dr I saw seemed considerably less panicked than the sonographer and midwife. I have a referral to Foetal Medicine for monitoring, but not until Monday week, so they obviously didn't consider it that urgent. I'm taking the view that we should plan for the worst and hope for the best, so we have spent today buying lots and lots of baby bits and pieces, so we are getting towards being ready for an early arrival if it happens.

Have you tried a really ice cold drink? That always seems to get centime going.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 08:05

I was in the car when I remembered and thought your going to think we are all horrid for not remembering to ask Blush blamed it on baby brain lol.

I had a magnum lol and nothing I had a very easy 4 hours and I noticed no movement up until the end 10mins and that was the kick I reported on here. Dh was cooking while I was sat in the next room just being lazy lol so I wasn't too busy to notice his kicks. While we were out I didnt notice anything either (had a feeling he wasn't moving so much so was a bit more vigilant) but had the odd movement in the morning.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 08:06

I think its bothering me now too because ive been getting the period pain too with strong bh. I just feel awful. Dont fancy eating either. I am still making sure I eat as I know I need to but its not like I actually want to which isnt normal as I love food

mssleepyhead · 08/06/2014 08:49

Monsters - how many weeks are you now? If you're worried you should call your midwife. When I spoke to mine about movement at my 28 week appointment she said to call if I didn't notice 10 movements in 24 hours. I was surprised as I thought it was supposed to be 10 in 2 hours, but that's what she said. I'm sure they'd be fine with you calling. Hope the little one picks up soon!

eurochick · 08/06/2014 08:55

I had updated on the FB group, but forgot to do so on here. I had so many people in RL asking me how things were going I forgot who I had told what!

monsters how are you feeling today? If you are at all worried, call your mw. They will probably just stick you on the monitor and hopefully that will be able to set your mind at rest. My mw is very big on trusting instincts. I'm using my phone app to count kicks once a day and generally keeping a close eye on movements because of my circumstances, but my mw said if I feel anything isn't right regardless of all that to get checked out.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 08:59

I honestly don't think I had 10 movement's yesterday. Maybe close to 7 or 8 but not 10. Hes just so quiet compared to what hes usually like.

Im 28weeks. Usual day is a few movements every few hours or so. A lot in the morning, by dinner ive normallyhad aaround the 10ish movements.

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 09:01

Ps I dont have a mw as im 100% under hospital nothing in community. So its just straight to triage if theres a problem. Im popping over to mums and there's an ice machine there so will try the ice cold water

euro the app is pretty good. Helps keep all info about kicks kn 1 place

mssleepyhead · 08/06/2014 09:06

Which app are you guys using? I've also heard about wrapping a bit of paper around your wrist and using it to keep a tally chart which might be better for me as I can't get my phone out in school.

Hope he responds well to the ice water, monsters, and that he's just having a sleepy day. Def get down to triage if he doesn't seem to be moving much, to put your mind at rest as much as anything. Good luck x

ilovemonstersInc · 08/06/2014 09:21

Count the kicks app. They have a website too.
Thank you mssleepy
