sounds stressful monsters, sorry you're having a tough time

ilovemonstersInc · 29/05/2014 16:28

thanks flymo
Ive always wondered if there something different about him but hes alwaysbeen such a challenge due to his health conditions and now it could all be linked. Makes me think if this is the impact of the meningitis he had as a baby? Everything makes thatbit more sense knowing its not his fault kinda thing

mssleepyhead · 30/05/2014 17:18

Gosh, monster, what an overwhelming day - hope you're ok.

Interesting to hear people's experiences of PGP; I'll be looking out for symptoms in the next few weeks. It's funny being a few weeks behind most of you all; you give me lots of clues on what's to come!

No PGP here yet but I have been getting a really odd pain right at the top of my lady bits. After a lot of dodgy internet searches, I think it's round ligament pain as it seems to be where those ligaments end. Feels like all of the tissue is bruised and is particularly bad in a morning when I wake up. Anyone else suffering with anything similar?!

ilovemonstersInc · 01/06/2014 15:31

How is everyone?

topmammy · 01/06/2014 20:05

I'm good thanks ilove. Hope everything is ok with you and your dcs.

I'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow and I'm also currently trying not to eat a cream cake that's in my fridge. I don't fancy it's chances though! I think I'm eating too much really but I do feel hungry most of the bloomin time lol.

Hope everyone else is doing okay :)

HungryHorace · 02/06/2014 07:15

Hi everyone!

My last Monday at work til next year today. Woooo!

I've had a busy weekend and am really tired. :-/ Never mind, only 4.5 days to go!

flymo79 · 02/06/2014 11:48

jealous! that must be a lovely relief hungry! are you starting mat leave next week then??

ilovemonstersInc · 02/06/2014 12:10

Yay not long to go then horace!

Had an hours sleep last night. At first I couldn't fall asleep then I got a message to say a family member was really poorly and drs had said they cant help her at midnight so I was still awake and then 15mins later got a call to say she had passed away. So dh and dad wentto pay their respects (culture for us to go as soon as you hear the news and then go back ffor when they are being buried and then everyday for first 3days and then at 40days) so they got back at 4.30am by that time id had close to 10mins sleep. And then I was still awake at bloody7am! Fell asleep after that to be woken by ds at8. My eyes are hurting now. Will have to go and pay respects later

on a lighter note a far friend of mine who has twin girls and a girl same age as ds2 is 9months pregnant with her 4th girl she saw me and I joked lets do a swap lol Grin

flymo79 · 02/06/2014 15:36

oh blimey monsters, so sorry for your loss, how sad. glad you got some happy news today though.

HungryHorace · 02/06/2014 16:41

Sorry for your loss, Monsters.

Flymo, I start annual leave at lunch time on Friday. Mat leave starts at 36+6 on 16th July. :-)

So looking forward to finishing. I'm rubbish at being heavily pregnant!

mssleepyhead · 02/06/2014 18:35

I'm sorry, Monsters, what a difficult night.

So envious of people finishing work! I'll be 35 and a half weeks when I finish on 23 July, but so ready to go TODAY! I've noticed a real difference in the last week or so (27 into 28 weeks) with much stronger movements. It's very hard to concentrate on discussions in school or meetings when I just want to shout: seriously, you should feel this!

Midwife appointment tomorrow and hoping for good news on glucose levels and the size of my bump. DH measured it out of curiosity yesterday and it was over 30cm which I think might be a bit big for 28 weeks...? Maybe I'll need signing off work : )

HungryHorace · 02/06/2014 22:20

It isn't as simple as measuring the bump, mssleepyhead. It's fundal height, so has a specific start and end point!

And 2cm either way is fine anyway. :-)

flymo79 · 03/06/2014 09:28

erk - I'll be 39 weeks when I finish work, don't have enough annual leave to be taking full weeks off so just taking days here and there.... am I stupid to think I can make it??!

HungryHorace · 03/06/2014 10:09

Wow. I'm impressed!

I couldn't face working that long, I hope it doesn't get too much for you.

flymo79 · 03/06/2014 11:49

oh dear, I hope it doesn't get too much, I am already tired at the end of the day/week. But I can't do without the money and need to be working right up until baby comes...

HungryHorace · 03/06/2014 12:11

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a 37 week birth and mat leave starting the day after!

eurochick · 03/06/2014 14:33

Hey ladies. I had my 28 week scan today. Unfortunately it did not bring good news. The placental blood flow issue has improved but is still present. And the baby is now down to the 3rd centile. Trying to sort out a consultant appointment asap to discuss my options. I've just come home from work and had a good cry. It took 3 years and 4 rounds of IVF to get this bean in there. I can't believe this is so hard.

ilovemonstersInc · 03/06/2014 15:03

Euro Flowers hopefully they can do something and if they cant they might think its best to deliver and give baby help on the outside? My nephew was a 24weeker and he is now home, all the scary things they said he had wrong with him have gone and hes a beautiful little boy. The extra 4 weeks plays in babys favour too. Stay strong x x

sillymeagain · 03/06/2014 15:57

Euro...sorry you got worrying news. How soon do you think they can get you a consultant appt? I hope it's soon and that they can make a plan that works well for you all. Is your oh with you?

flymo79 · 03/06/2014 16:49

oh no euro, sorry you had worrying news. I'm sure the consultant will have something positive and practical to suggest

mssleepyhead · 03/06/2014 17:20

I'm so sorry, euro. I really hope you can see someone soon and that they have positive plans for you both. 28 weeks seems like a good development point to have got to so everything crossed for you both x

ilovemonstersInc · 05/06/2014 11:05

3rd trimester starts tomorrow Grin

euro have you managed to see anyone yet? Hope your ok x

disney!! Where are you?? Hope your ok x

hope everyone is ok x

eurochick · 05/06/2014 11:12

Thanks ladies. I have a consultant appointment tomorrow. I am 28 weeks today, so it is a relief to hit that particular landmark.

There's nothing they can do in there (except maybe stronger blood thinners, but they might not want to risk those if an early section is on the cards), so at this point I think it's a case of close monitoring to decide when centime would do better out than in.

ilovemonstersInc · 05/06/2014 11:33

They might try you on a low dose of the injections? Im on the tinz at 10,000 iu and its not as bad as what you think. I thought if I cut myself would have to go a+e (as dm would try and scare me) Hmm but thankfully ive not really had any extra weird bleeding.

Hope they decide on what to do or see you x a week x

BunnyBaby · 05/06/2014 14:19

Hello ladies, just read through the last few pages, what a rollercoaster of emotions and news we're running through.

Welcome to the new joiners.

All well here, giant bump as usual, almost 29 weeks, and finished at 32 with DS2 and 38 with DS1, so am wondering if I'll get to 35 weeks (as agreed with boss). If I start to get too tired at 32 weeks, they may just let me do 10-3 for the remaining 3 weeks, so I'll see.

Sympathise with all the aches, pains and niggles, but it will be worth it when we get to cuddle our bundles.

Bunny x
