missbright I hope that it all turns out OK, you are doing well to try and stay positive!

FoodieMum3 · 29/04/2014 21:53

Wow, that has to be the clearest looking scan pic I've ever seen, MissingCaffeine. Is that just regular 2d?

Missingcaffeine · 29/04/2014 22:00

Topsy I am moving as if I'm heavily pregnant! I can't get up easily without using my hands!
Foodie it's just a regular scan. Our last scan was really clear too at 12 weeks so maybe it's just a very good machine - as it was on the same scanner. It's actually clearer than that picture, as I've lost quality in taking photo of a photo on a rubbish phone camera.

FoodieMum3 · 29/04/2014 22:02

It's amazing. Congratulations!
My last baby was clear but not quite as clear as that at 20w, she was sucking her thumb. Funny, she never did it after birth!

Topsyloulou · 29/04/2014 22:17

The little man has hiccups. It's a very strange feeling but also weirdly nice. Not the best time of day to have it when I'm trying to sleep & I'm sure I won't enjoy it as much when he has them more often but am enjoying it now. Just a shame dp is working away tonight as I think he would have been able to feel him for the first time.

Bananapickle · 29/04/2014 22:20

Had our scan today and we are team blue!! Our sonographer said that if we didn't want to know she didn't know how she would have hidden it as his bits were blaringly obvious!!
We knew her so she took her time and talked us through everything, it was amazing. She was showing us all the blood flow and little things like the diaphragm etc.
He was wriggling all over the place but got a couple if half decent shots, not as good as the ones on here.
missbright hope the next few weeks are ok for you and it doesn't weigh too heavy on you.
For those of you feeling breathless talk to your midwives. When I was pregnant with my DD I thought it was normal and then they tested my iron levels and I needed tablets. Nothing to worry about but worth getting checked at your next appointment.
We've bought a few bits but now I know I'm having a boy I don't know if I can control myself!!

Teabiscuits · 29/04/2014 22:57

I haven't dared get on the scales for a while, BMI fine before, and size 10-12, but I have been eating a lot of crap. Don't get me wrong, my proper meals are pretty healthy, it's all the extras that aren't, and I have lost all self control Blush . Never mind, it's not that big a deal, we can always start a weight loss thread in October!
missbright hope you are ok, or as ok as you can be. Fingers crossed that you will get good news in the end, and that the next few weeks are bearable for you Thanks .

DD2 turns 5 tomorrow, bed time I think as we will no doubt get woken up at 6am!

Fairypants · 29/04/2014 23:00

Congratulations on the recent scans, ive got mine tomorrowShock
I hope you get the all clear soon missb.
Baby had hiccups here at the weekend and my dd's got to see that and feel kicks so were well excited. Dd1 messaged all her friends then took a bump pic and snap chatted with her friends- apparently it is the hot topic in yr11 at her school.
Hello to the newbies too - I have the same edd as you foodieGrin

dontevenblink · 30/04/2014 01:16

FoodieMum this is my baby a couple of weeks ago sucking it's thumb! I've got an almost identical pic of DS2 sucking his thumb too, but he didn't do it after he was born either.

Mummyof3tobe I had a low lying placenta with DS1 and had to have an extra scan at around 34 weeks to check if it had moved and it had just enough, so was able to have a VB. No one ever said anything about having to take it easy though. I've got a high anterior placenta this time which is a bit annoying as it means I barely feel any movement, which can also be worrying! During the scan the baby had it's face buried in the placenta...

DD had hiccups almost constantly through the last two months of my pregnancy, and continued to get them for months after she was born too :)

Hi to all the newcomers!

BexBoo12 · 30/04/2014 07:37

Hi everyone, just marking my place on new thread, thank you hippyjess x

I promise I keep up with posts but work is too crazy for me to even have the energy to type a post most night...yesterday I left the house at 6:30am and walked through my door at 9:05pm. I was so shattered, hungry, pains in my tummy, swollen feet...and that was the first time I stopped and said no more. This is just silly, let alone dangerous having literally been on my feet all day. So I'm hoping to cut back on the hours I'm out of the house. I will still need to work at home (as teachers know, there's so much to do after kids actually go home) but will at least be on the sofa with my feet up.

Had scan last wednesday, everything fine although we've put a complaint in about sonographer. Have attached my photo x

Great news on other scans, I love all the pictures, particularly bump pictures, although I still have no bump!!!

Good luck to those with upcoming scans xx

DearDinah · 30/04/2014 07:39

Bit tmi but I'm a bit worried about having cloudy wee, I don't know if it's normal or a sign of something, I don't think it's an infection as there's no pain & I've no problem going, does anyone else have this? (Great morning conversation starter!)

ilovemonstersInc · 30/04/2014 08:45

Cloudy urine is a sign of a uti.
Are you drinking enough water? I would get urine checked just in case. If it is uti its very easy to treat with the right antibiotics

Oxlady · 30/04/2014 11:00

DearDinah, I experienced the same a couple of weeks ago. I started drinking more water and it became less cloudy and in my last midwife appointment there was no problem found. However, like ilove said, it might be worth getting urine checked just in case.

Got my 20 week scan in 2 hours, can't wait!

whiteblossom · 30/04/2014 12:58

Hi everyone, missbright congrats on your little girl and ill keep my fingers crossed that all is ok. Three weeks is quite a wait Sad

coolcat take it easy and only do what you can, must be a bit scary having problems breathing!

right off to read pg 3 lol.....

whiteblossom · 30/04/2014 13:14

and Ive caught up Grin

Im stressing about the amount of work that needs doing to get the house ready and frustrated that I cant really do it. DH has been great clearing out and sorting etc. I'm also concerned about the cost, dh has added new carpets/painting/moving radiators to the list and to boot the boiler needs replacing- something we were hoping to avoid!

I've noticed a few tiny thread vein type things under one boob (the slimmest part of me!) and one on my side. I dont think they are stretch marks. I didn't get any stretch marks with my first and as my mum & nana didn't get any I kinda figured I'd get away with it again. Do you think these will go once Ive given birth?? So Ive upped my skin regime and Im aiming to drink lots more and Ive given up/drastically reduced my chocolate intake. (bloody easter eggs!!)

My ds has told his entire class Im pg, so now all the mums know too urgh! No one had a clue and were really shocked.

I also cleared out my entire ironing basket yesterday and while I was ironing my tiny tops, Im determined to get back in them after!!

Has anyone noticed that their spotty skin has improved? I really think the nivea has helped loads.

At what point do we pack a hospital bag? Has anyone picked up their free nappy bag yet?

oops mamath post. Grin

HippyJess · 30/04/2014 13:50

Ugh, just had to sort out all my pre-preg t-shirts that don't cover bump anymore :( they all seem ridiculously small! Really really hope I manage to get back in them!

rockin20s · 30/04/2014 14:40

Acne has only started this week for me. hoping it doesn't last long!

I have had thread veins on the sides of my tummy for a few weeks now, they are not stretch marks. asked DH if he had even noticed them on me and he said no, i don't think he even noticed them now only fro me pointing them out to him

whiteblossom · 30/04/2014 14:50

Does anyone else have to eat every few hours? Im always hungry.

My day has gone like this:
7.30am cereal
9am cereal bar
10am mini banana loaf
12pm half ham sarny and profiteroles
2.30pm granola yogurt

my next snack will be fruit!!

hippy I have a 'section' in my wardrobe of clothes that fit. I also have a separate draw for underwear Blush-separate from my thin and sexy stuff....

whiteblossom · 30/04/2014 14:51

rockin- will they go? I cant seam to find them today though...Confused Im not looking too hard I don't want to depress myself again.

HippyJess · 30/04/2014 15:34

Glad I'm not the only one whiteblossom! At least DP doesn't seem to notice any difference :) found a stretch mark on my belly the other day! Only small but still. Don't want too many...

holls2000 · 30/04/2014 15:57

Whiteblossom - food? Me!! ME!!

My day has gone like this:
7am - frosties and banana
9am - banana
10.30am - chicken wrap
12.40 - baked potato, tuna mayo, 2 slices melon, piece of flapjack
2.45 - bourbon cream
AND I AM HUNGRY HUNGRY HUNGRY

Something else weird is everyone is asking me if I have been away because I look tanned - especially my face.

Also have a stretch mark (well more than one) and veins on my legs - little thready things marching across what was once my calf but is now turning into a roll....

whiteblossom · 30/04/2014 16:07

hols your food choices sounds delish!! Ive not had frosties since I was a kid Grin I had to make some flapjack last week, it just had to be homemade- I was hoping it would fill me up- nope.

right off to raid the kitchen again. wanting tuna mayo on a jacket now.

Pregnantberry · 30/04/2014 16:14

Deardinah

I have had that before (before and during pregnancy). Like others have said, it could be a UTI so keep an eye on it but it could be nothing - certain foods/drink can set it off, I sometimes get it if I have drank a lot of things with milk in lately.
