missbright and Mummy try not to stress, there is nothing either of ye can do about it at the moment, stress wont help. i know easier said then done!

Mummyto3tobe · 29/04/2014 13:11

iv spent the last 3 weeks stressing for the scan yesterday only to hear more worrying news, just feels like a huge shock as my first 2 prenancys ran totally fine with not a single problem but this one just seems to be making us worry the whole way through.

Topsyloulou · 29/04/2014 13:35

Mummytobe I've known two friends with low lying placenta and in both cases it had moved up and they could have a normal birth so fingers crossed it will be the same in your case.

Cindy5389 · 29/04/2014 13:35

polkadotdelight where are you staying in Cornwall if you don't mind me asking? Me and DH r thinking of going away for a week in June.

September 2014 - we're over half way there!
rockin20s · 29/04/2014 14:35

wow that scan is so clear!!
cant wait for mine, 2 weeks today

holls2000 · 29/04/2014 15:35

Wow - that's an amazing scan; so clear. Fingers crossed for you.
Mummy, I hope that placenta gets moving for you - and that the midwife calls back soon.

My scan is 2 weeks today - but I am already in a spin, for no reason other than it's 3 weeks since I saw midwife and heard heartbeat and I live in some anxiety ridden bubble where I almost need to hear it on a weekly basis. Do you think if I rang they would let me go to the drop in on Friday for them to see if I can hear it? Or do you think they'd just think I was a mentalist (which I admit, I might well be on my way to becoming....)? Having said that, as I was typing I have just felt what may well have been movement - left side, low down? Possible?

Anyone else need me to worry for them? I'm VERY good at it! :-)

Xx

cookielove · 29/04/2014 16:21

holls i don't know if this will help with the worrying or not, but we borrowed a friend's doppler, its called angel sounds and i don't think they are very expensive new. It can take a while to find the hb, but it is clear when i find it, also my baby doesn't like it so moves away from the probe Smile

It may help, or send you more into worry stations!

missbrightside That scan is amazing, it sounds odd but her spine is beautiful!! I hope all is well for her!

mummy i was talking to a friend who mentioned in her first pregnancy she had a low lying placenta and was scanned frequently it did move in the end!

polkadotdelight · 29/04/2014 17:07

missbrightside thats a fab scan picture and I really hope that the CF is just a false alarm.

holls I'm feeling movement and I still have all the fears that you have, I think it's parr for the course!

Cindy We are staying at Retallack resort and spa. We booked it last week on last minute.com, 3 nights for 200 - we have a 1 bed self catered appartment on the lake with use of the swimming pool. There is a spa but I'm too mean to pay for a treatment and there is a sauna and steam room but that's out for us pregnant ladies too! We've been to the Eden Project and Truro today, Newquay last night and tonight we are knackered so have bought a dvd and pizza to cook in our little appartment. It's lovely here but I'd definitely book a last minute deal.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 29/04/2014 17:14

Thanks ladies for your words, will keep you all in the loop for sure xx

cookie that doesn't sound odd at all, cos we were thinking along the same lines when we saw it, still can't believe how good a pic it is :) feel blessed to be carrying her xx

I remember seeing a few other ladies with the same scan date as me, hope they all went well xx

topmammy · 29/04/2014 19:29

Congrats on your little girl missbright, I really hope everything turns out well, sending you positive vibes! Thanks

I am so ravenous all the time Blush 23weeks today! No will power to resist cake in the staffroom either, whoops! Still haven't weighed myself, and probably won't tbh!

Someone said about feeling breathless - I have started feeling like this too. Hoping it is normal Confused I am just getting over a cold though.

Hope everyone is feeling ok :)

CumbrianExile · 29/04/2014 19:34

Checking in too.

MissBrightside sending you positive vibes. It is an amazing picture!

topmammy I am with you on the weighing too. I'd rather not know for now, will deal with it in September haha.

CoolCat2014 · 29/04/2014 19:45

Mummy2be - hope your placenta moves!

MissBrightside - fingers crossed for you that everything will be fine!

Topmammy - I'm ravenous this week suddenly (after weeks of not really being interested much) just ate decent supper, having only just had a bowl of cereals, and now I'm making toast!

Been having a really rough time with asthma, been on 4 different meds in the last 2 weeks, and now have very strict orders to be seem immediately if my peak flow drops below 380. It's just exhausting, and making me feel like a lazy slob as can't even walk anywhere :(

xxmissbrightsidexx · 29/04/2014 20:04

Thankyou ladies, sounds corny but I'm glad I have you lot in here, helps me have a bit more of a positive outlook on things, and it's good to talk to people in the same (ish) situations, so glad Im part of this group xx Thanks xx

Can someone add my pinkness to the doc when it's next updated please :D xx

xxmissbrightsidexx · 29/04/2014 20:05

Oops sorry just seen it's already been added :) Yay, Thankyou xx

holls2000 · 29/04/2014 20:07

Phew glad I share bump similarities with people!!
I stayed same weight during first trimester but now I'm eating again (and how much!) I dread yo think what will happen - scales prob will break.
I got into bed the other night at my in laws and my husband said the creak was due to me structurally compromising furniture. Luckily I have a sense of humour, or i would have caused serious damage to him...

Lemoncello72 · 29/04/2014 20:36

hi all, checking in.
I've gained 3-4lb so far which I'm happy with given I'm overweight to start with. I am facing my mother constantly telling me I don't need to gain a single pound whilst pregnant because she didn't! she's bonkers.

as to MIL's, mine couldn't seem to care less that I'm preggers, FIL asks hubby how things are going but as it's not about her my MIL doesn't ask anything. All we've had so far is... we'll do x when the baby is born and you've been to see us, like that's our highest priority shortly after the birth, especially as I'm made to feel so welcome there - they are Italian so she conducts her half of conversations in Italian so I can't follow/join in.

Missingcaffeine · 29/04/2014 21:03

Here's my scan (had at 18+6)
I was size 10 before pregnancy, I gained around 5kg in first trimester. I think I have continued to gain loads of weight around bum and thighs and tummy - but not weighed myself. I don't fit in any of my non-maternity clothes anymore, I'm 19+3.
I haven't bought anything yet for baby. It still feels early - as have nowhere to store pram etc and I still have that worry about jinxing things.
I started taking my pregnancy vitamins again (I stopped around 12 weeks because I felt sick and thought they were contributing) and I feel better for it. I think I was getting foot cramps at night due to lack of magnesium and zinc - anyway, they've gone since I restarted. My energy is also improving - whether that's conincindence or not, I'm not sure.
There's a sale on again on asos maternity stuff - I bought some before and really like the stuff I got:
www.asos.com/Maternity-Promotion/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=14326&WT.ac=CP|WW|promo|hdr|Maternity#parentID=-1&pge=0&pgeSize=36&sort=-1
misog I kept missing stuff on ebay until a friend who is obsessed with ebay recommended esnipe, and I've won stuff every time with that, apart from when someone has outbid my max. It even won't bid your max if it doesn't need to. Don't know how it works, but it does.
Welcome Holls
missbright and Mummy try not to stress. I really hope all turns out well.

September 2014 - we're over half way there!
Topsyloulou · 29/04/2014 21:03

Evening ladies. Thanks for the new thread. Can someone update me to team blue next time the stats are posted. Only ever get chance to log on from my phone & can't update them myself.

I've put on 8lb so far. Think (hope) it's all bump tho. Particularly as bump is rock hard at the moment. Think he's been having a party in there today. He is also spending a lot of time lengthways which is making bending awkward. Am starting to have to get up like a proper pregnant lady now.

polkadotdelight · 29/04/2014 21:05

That's a fantastic scan picture! Hope ours is that good on Friday!

Inbl00m · 29/04/2014 21:17

Evening all, just checking into the new thread. missbrightside and mummy - hope you're not too stressed and both get good news soon Thanks
