Kt1991 · 19/05/2014 07:51

Love the bump pics :)
I had to go up to the assessment unit yesterday afternoon as baby hadn't moved around as much since the early evening before, I know I'n only 23 Weeks but the midwife said its best to check these things as baby had kind of got into a pattern of certain times, and I'm such a worrier anyway! But he is all fine and it was nice for my MIL who came with me to hear the heartbeat :) I'd also been getting some pain on my right side but she said it sounds like ligament pain so glad all is ok :)

ilovemonstersInc · 19/05/2014 08:47

Think it depends on what you drive and how much of a short arse you are! I have to have the seat as far forward as it will go, which leaves me a lot less space to begin with. And like I say, I'm completely fine in DH's car. Loads of space. It really is just my dinky car thats a problem. I haven't tried putting the seat back a notch but I'm a little worried about that anyway, as I'm not convinced I would be either comfy or safe.

StrawberryGashes · 19/05/2014 12:04

nazly I've been in maternity clothes since about 12 weeks, I'm in awe that you're only just putting your size 10 clothes aside! Your bump seems fine to me, don't listen to what anyone else says. I'm often told I'm both too big and too small in the one day, people seem to lose all sense when they talk to someone who is pregnant.

I seem to also have a pregnant arse, pregnant love handles and pregnant arms. They've all gotten huge since falling pregnant Blush

ilovemonstersInc · 19/05/2014 12:46

Blossom dont think we can get away with that now! I got 2 maxis yesterday 1 black with lace neckline and one space multi print with pockets! Doesnt sound too nice but its really nice amd comfortable!

whiteblossom · 19/05/2014 14:06

the floral dress is a no then ilove or did you mean the pic above? Confused

Where did you get the maxi dresses from, Ive really struggled to find any that don't cost the earth.

Teabiscuits · 19/05/2014 14:32

It's sooo hot today!

Had my birth reflections appointment today, and midwife who did has outlined what to write in the birth plan. She was really good, and I actually understand a lot more of what happened last time. Her reccomendation is to have a cervical sweep done at 38 weeks, then go in 3 days later for induction, so will be almost certainly an august baby.

Hope everyone is coping in the sunshine!

ilovemonstersInc · 19/05/2014 14:52

Woopa sorry blossom I mean no matter what we try bump will stick out to say hello lol. I had a driving lesson on Saturday and instructor told me id lost weight Confused today im in a maxi and she said bumps come out a lot since Saturday Hmm

I got my black one from George at asda and the other from tk maxx. Im absolutely in love with this 1 I have on due to the pockets! They arent obvious pockets but soo handy!

Sounds like a good plan tea x

ilovemonstersInc · 19/05/2014 14:57

I've bought a couple of maxi dresses but have stuck with normal ones not maternity ones.
I got a t shirt material one from Matalan at £14 and a floaty material one from Tesco for £18 so I think quite reasonable and I reckon I'll get away with wearing them post baby too.
I tried wearing leggings and maternity skirt with layered tops and realised I had 4 layers over my bump so maxi dresses are definitely the way forward in this weather.

ilovemonstersInc · 19/05/2014 16:28

Ohh mine are normal maxis not maternity too. Forgot tosay that bbefore. They stretch over bump but can be worn again when not pregnant I just got my usual size so its an investment lol

cookielove · 19/05/2014 16:58

white i think that maxi dress looks fab!!

My mum gave me her maxi dress as i saw one i really liked in mothercare and she didn't want me to waste any money. The dress is really similar. I'm gonna wear it again later in the week (going out for dinner) so i'll try and take a picture.

I am still in my own clothes as much as i am in maternity clothes. I have a pair of large cord 3/4 shorts that i wear most summers, they fit fine. But i def have a bump, i am worried my bump is small for 22 weeks.

So i had my constulant appointment today, the appointment was at 10.50am i was seen at 1.00pm as there had been an agressive father which had delayed all the appointments. I was starving by the time i got out there, and all shakey. However they are giving me two more scans to check on growth which is a nice bonus.

Squuuueee going to California in 3 weeks cannot wait :)

velvetlilithi · 19/05/2014 17:03

Kt1991 I have the same with my little boys movement, Couple of days I was extremely stressed from work and baby didn't move for a whole day, next few days just couple of kicks during day. When I had a day off and calmed down, baby was happily wriggling around. Today again only couple times some movements...
For a week occasionally pain on the left side of belly and today little sharp stabbing but just for a moment.

Should I be worried? I was thinking about going to hospital, but then thought they'll just send me home if I'm not bleeding or don't have any strong pain.
Have my 22 week app on Thursday with midwife, but don't know if I should be waiting.

Do you think I should go for check up to hospital??

cookielove · 19/05/2014 17:11

Are we meant to have an appointment with the midwives at 22 weeks? I have a little chart in the back of my green folder and it says the next one is 26 but i am away then so i booked it in for 25. Shall i book one for this week?

velvetlilithi · 19/05/2014 17:16

cookielove I have some chart as well in my folder and on the booking apptm my midwife ticked all weeks she wants to see me. So I was there on booking, then 12 week scan, 16 week midwife, 20 weeks scan, 22 weeks midwife and then 26 weeks midwife as well and so on.

So probably depends on your midwife when she wants to see you. I was told to book apptm, so I did.

cookielove · 19/05/2014 17:21

I had one at 16 weeks and i can't remember what she said, dh has my bloody folder to. Hmmm i may just call up the dr's and book one in anyway, can't hurt really!

cookielove · 19/05/2014 17:41

velvet i just called up and got one booked in for Friday, i'll be 22+3 (or 4 according to the midwives today)

velvetlilithi · 19/05/2014 18:12

cookielove It's always worth it have a regular check up. And that should be at least once a month. So if you had last one at 16 wks, 26 is too far, that's more than two months.

Think you did the right think to book one even you weren't asked for it.
And hopefully you'll get a chance to hear your baby's heartbeat again.

What do you think about the baby's movements I wrote before?? Should I rather go to hospital tomorrow to have baby checked?? I don't want to look too dramatic, but on the other hand-don't want to keep worrying till Thursday :( Don't know what to do.

velvetlilithi · 19/05/2014 18:13

I'm 21+3 today.

whiteblossom · 19/05/2014 18:25

Oh I see Ilove, Oh I know I cant get away with that now lol. Its just some clothes make you looks bigger don't they, pg or not. My mum said the dress looks lovely and trust me she would be blunt if it didn't! So Ill keep it. I was in TK yesterday but it was sooooo hot I had to leave.

Thanks cookie Smile Im still mixing and matching non/maternity clothes.

ELLA Is it worth a call to the hospital to get it checked out? It could be IBS or a bug?

My next mw apt is 25 weeks but that's not really normal for a second pg it should be 28w which I will have aswell but mw could see that I the previous apt didn't go well and I was a bit worried so she said it I wanted one sooner I could just book it so I have!.

tea glad your apt went well and you feel more in control.

Good luck tomorrow ilove

My m&d have offered to paint the nursery for me bless, very sweet as both have health issues at the moment.
