Im due on the 17th Ella and we've bought very very little! Plenty of time yet, well I say that but backache has kicked in so maybe I should get everything ready now!

Eastwiththem · 13/05/2014 13:32

I haven't bought anything and I'm due on the 18th Sept. Have a shopping list and planning to get it all in one big hit nearer the time. When I was born my parents had nothing (as they were weirdly superstitious) so my dad had an emergency trip to Mothercare the next day!

I've knitted a pair of booties and am halfway through a cardigan but that's it!

holls2000 · 13/05/2014 13:50

Scan over and fine. Consultant seemed happy but looks like it's a little porker as abdomen measured 87th% which has stressed me out! However, due to history I get another scan at 32 weeks. Was amazing to see it climbing around my tummy! Glad yours went well, ella xx

whiteblossom · 13/05/2014 14:27

hey everyone, hippy wedding looks truly lovely, congrats!

Theres a lot of team blue on here.

I had an apt at hospital today to see consultant to discuss B12. While I was there they checked my urine as I felt as if Ive been on the cusp of an infection. I mentioned that the babys movement has changed so got to hear heartbeat- mw saw my bump and said "wow, your coming along well", que me am I big, too big? "no your fine, a good size though"....que me worrying still- though consultant said that this is a fast growing time and as Ive popped out the baby probably has more room to move so feeling it less.

I really have grown over the last two weeks but I am eating....I must stop- come sep I will be kicking myself.

lilone1234 · 13/05/2014 17:27

Congrats on the recent scan news!

Has anyone's belly button popped out yet? Does it always happen? I think it makes a bump look more bump like and less belly like - so I am looking forward to it happening to me!

whiteblossom · 13/05/2014 17:53

mine is still in, it stayed in throughout my last pg so not expecting it to pop this time.

Fish1981 · 13/05/2014 18:02

Hello,

Due my 1st 14th Sept. Team yellow xx

cookielove · 13/05/2014 18:28

Mine is in and god I hope it stays that way, but it is very deep!

Cindy5389 · 13/05/2014 19:07

My belly button is starting to get very flat. I think that means that it may pop out very soon.. Starting to feel proper kicks now. Dh can feel them too, which is nice.

Congrats hippyjess! Lovely photos.

Topsyloulou · 13/05/2014 19:13

Lovely to hear all the good scan news.

Holls my little man was on the higher end of the scale for his abdomen & it's looks very cute in the scan photo. Everything else was spot on the 50th percentile.

My belly button is definitely on its way to popping out, thought id be ok as it's really deep but not looking that way.

We're really struggling with a name. We have a very short shortlist & once we have decided we're not telling anyone till after he's born as people won't comment when it's his actual name rather than an idea.

Acorncat · 13/05/2014 19:29

Think my belly button is also about to pop out, hoping it'll just flatten out instead though!

I've still bought nothing except a pram (and only cos it was on sale), really don't plan in buying anything else for about 10 weeks. Doing lots of research though.

topmammy · 13/05/2014 19:47

Good to hear people's scan news! :)

I had 25w check up today with MW.Everything fine apart from a little bit if protein in my wee but MW wasn't concerned. Amazing to hear baby's heartbeat again, it was nice and strong Grin

I'm going to buy a car seat in a couple of weeks, probably the maxi cosi pebble and the family fix base I think it's called as I've heard so many food things about them.

My house looks like a warehouse at the mo with big boxes of nursery furniture everywhere!

I was looking at my bump last night and rubbing in some bio oil and ny belly button seemed to pop out almost, it majorly freaked me out!!! Glad to hear I'm not the only one. It has stayed in for now though, hope it remains that way!

holls2000 · 13/05/2014 19:51

topsy I wad pretty much 50th or thereabouts girl everything except fat tummy and head was 33rd% which worried me too but consultant not worried so guess I shouldn't be?!

Nazly · 13/05/2014 22:42

Hippy beautiful photos, you look vary happy and calm :) lovely...

Congrats to all new scans :)

Somebody tell me how I can stop eating this much ... I seem not to be able to stop myself and My bump is growing really fast ...

I wish mumsnet mobile app was a little bit better, it is really very basic, I am member of other forums outside mumsnet and their app are so better, allows sharing photos, follow unread messages, reply under notes ... Etc-

MissB, are you around? Haven't heard from you for a while...

misog2000 · 14/05/2014 04:51

Anyone else struggling to sleep? I'm wide awake again for no reason, it's very frustrating Sad

Kittyrose1 · 14/05/2014 07:16

Morning all, not been around a couple of months, hopefully some of you remember me from some of the much earlier threads! Kittyrose1 edd 20th sept, dc1 :) am now 21+4 had 20 week scan last week and are team yellow! Lived seeing baby again and so happy all well and healthy.
Can't believe where time is going, so pleased to see ladies on here obviously blooming and having healthy scans.
Hope you dont mind me hopping back on the thread!

cookielove · 14/05/2014 07:44

nazly have you tried the mobile site instead, I use that on my note 2, its a much better system then the app! Which I hate.

Scan at 9.30 today, not feeling worried at all which is unusual.

holls2000 · 14/05/2014 08:02

misog ME ME ME! Was WIDE awake at 3.30 and saw 4.30 and 5 before I must have dropped off, very irritating it is, too!!!

misog2000 · 14/05/2014 08:18

It's so annoying isn't it holls! I fell asleep about 20 mins before dh's alarm went off at 5.30 so got up in the end as clearly want going to sleep again after that. It's the 3rd night in a row now, tired today. People keep saying 'you think you're tired now.....wait till that baby comes!' now I understand where they are coming from but I won't be working full time when the baby arrives so it won't matter so much Angry

Good luck with your scan cookie

misog2000 · 14/05/2014 08:19

want = wasn't

ilovemonstersInc · 14/05/2014 09:59

Good luck cookie

Apparently the whole waking at night is to get you ready for sleepless nights once baby is here. All babies are different. Ds1 absolute nightmare due to his health problems so sometimes he'd still be screaming at 5am (from 12am) and would nap a few mins each hour when he wasnt in pain. Ds2 was a breeze! He was fed, nappy changed, winded and back down.

cookielove · 14/05/2014 10:50

Scan went well, he is still a boy yay!!

Got stuck in the worst traffic, on the way there!

rockin20s · 14/05/2014 11:41

Hey All, had my scan yesterday, all is perfect.

we had a wobble in the waiting room about finding out the sex but at the last minute we stuck to our original plan of not finding out. so staying team yellow.

plenty of kicks and even DH is feeling them now which im delighted about.

CoolCat2014 · 14/05/2014 13:07

I'm also in the waking up in the middle of the night for ages club. Not helpful!

Got another UTI and another course of antibiotics :(

I'm getting pains (sharp and muscle like) all across my abdomen between my ribs and belly button, is this just another form of ligament pain or should I be concerned?

FoodieMum3 · 14/05/2014 13:29

Hello all. Sorry to be rude but only have time to browse last few posts.

Coolcat, 99.9% of the time pains of any sort are absolutely nothing to worry about and just stretching going on but I always say, just to be on the safe side to get it checked out. It will out your mind at ease also.

Rockin20s I'm also team yellow but boy was it tempting me...
I had my scan yesterday evening (even though I was 22+1) and was so tempted to ask. I think if they had offered I might have said yes but sonographer didn't mention gender at all. All was well with baby but he or she was measuring about 4-5 days smaller than my dates which really surprised me as my bump is huge and kicks are very very VERY strong!!
