Coolcat it's deffo noticeable when I lift my top (I think) but is easily hidden under clothes as I'm still in normal clothes. I'm still in fact wearing the same size as before I got pg, however my rude neighbour yesterday told me "wow you're getting fat now aren't you? You'll need a new wardrobe soon as nothing will fit you!" He didn't even laugh when he said it so don't even think he was joking! Will upload pic of my bump now but excuse the flesh on the photo, like I said you can't see it otherwise!!!

Bump at 23+1 x

I don't have a very big bump, never have had, and I'm about average build and weight. When in labour with DD2 the midwife told me that baby was probably only 5lb as my bump was so small, and had to double check my dates as she didn't think I could possibly be full term. She was astonished when DD weighed 7lb 3. Not exactly a whopper I know, but pretty average for 2 days early!

I think it just depends on how you carry them.

HippyJess · 12/05/2014 20:20

My bump is already mahoosive at 22+3! Baby boy is very present in all our wedding photos Grin thanks for all your good wishes, have attached a few pics for you!

So glad to hear more happy scan news, good stuff :)

Awww they're lovely pictures hippy! You both look very happy, congratulations!

Nazly and Bex - What nasty things some people say. Everyone's either an expert or suddenly entitled to make any observation on your appearance!

topmammy · 12/05/2014 20:47

Love your wedding snaps HippyJess! Congrats xx

The cleaner at work today asked me, so how long have you got to go now then? When I told her she just looked my bump up and down wide eyed. Hmm I don't get why people like to make you feel whale like!! I do feel rather large today but (tmi) feel a tad constipated which probably causes a bit if bloat, as is one of the joys of pregnancy. Didn't really feel like discussing that with the cleaner though lol!

I'm 25weeks tomorrow, midwife check up in the afternoon. Must remember to take the per sample lol just know I will forget if I'm not careful!! Blush

topmammy · 12/05/2014 20:48

Ahem not per sample, *PEE sample!! Blush!

polkadotdelight · 12/05/2014 20:53

Fab pics hippyjess I love it when people look so happy and natural.

KitKat1985 · 12/05/2014 22:00

Beautiful pics hippyjess. You both look really happy. xxx

Am totally sympathising with the being made to feel massive thing. A colleague at work at the weekend told me I was as big now at 5 months as she was when she was full term. Sad Why do people feel the need to say these things?

Am having 20-week bump scan take 2 on Wednesday! Hopefully baby will behave this time to sonographer can finish her measurements etc. Although secretly quite pleased to have to go back a second time so we can see our baby girl again. :)

CoolCat2014 · 12/05/2014 22:12

Bexboo - that's a lovely neat bump :) will have to take a photo of mine tomorrow!

Hippyjess - love the wedding photos, you look fab!

Anyone else getting fed up of being asked what the name is? Sore point as the moment as the name we love and have loved since we got together is now my brothers girlfriends name and things are a bit tricky. Don't think we can use it :(

FoodieMum3 · 12/05/2014 22:13

Congratulations hippyjess and DH. Will be amazing to show those photos to your son in a few years from now.

Hope all are keeping well, I dip in and out. Love reading of the scans.

22+ weeks now, getting kicked vigorously which is great. Bump nice and big too.

Congratulations hippie!!

22 weeks today and starting to feel uncomfortable at work already. There are plans to sort a new chair but I can't imagine it happening soon.

I'm also struggling with everyone asking about names. When I was pg last year I told my sis a name we were considering (she asked) and she made a face and said 'really?'. This time I've made a family rule we don't discuss with anyone outside DH and dd's cos I just don't want to deal with everyone else's opinions. Unfortunately dd2 started to answer my other sis at the weekend and I had the same reaction (different name). I think everyone asks just to make conversation and I mumble a bit about haven't really got anywhere with it. Given that we have shared pics and the babies sex, it really matters to me that we keep possible names private.
I also keep having to stop DH from trying to make a final decision as I don't want baby to be named before birth, I'm feeling really superstitious about it and insist we can have 3 favourites but I won't agree to any until she is here.

Newlywed2013 · 13/05/2014 00:39

i ladies! Sorry I disappeared off for a while! Had a few weeks where I just wanted to stay away from mn and the internet!

My hg has died down! Thank god but I'm still reliant on meds!
My friend lost her baby a few weeks back when I had my 20week scan, baby was still born by emergency cs at 34weeks. This has me terrified something will go wrong as I'm under consultant care due to family history of stillbirth. I was getting myself upset and decided to stay away.

At 20 week scan baby was healthy but we decided to stay team yellow! Kind of having second thoughts now and we might ask at our 28week scan in June!

On the subject of pushchairs, I see it's been mentioned a lot, we are going for babystyle oyster and maxicosi pebble with the family fix isofix base :-)

Can I be added back onto stats, 5th sept team yellow!

misog2000 · 13/05/2014 05:50

If people ask me if we have thought about names I just say yes with a smile and refuse to discuss further Grin, we are staying team yellow which makes that a bit easier as there is the whole spectrum to choose from but I really don't want to be swayed by other people on something so important so am keeping quiet.

Hopefully they will find it harder to be rude about it once it is actually babies name

velvetlilithi · 13/05/2014 06:17

Joining team BLUE !!! Due date 27th September
Had my detailed scan yesterday and baby is doing very good. He was even so well behaved to let them take all measurements (something he didn't like last time). Just on the last thing (measurement of parts of brain) started to feel tired and turned away from midwife :D so we were sent for a 10 minutes walk to try if he turns. Good boy, he changed position and let us also get lovely photo of his foot.

Today 20+3, not a huge bump but already visible under clothes. People at work starting to notice the change as it seems like my bump is getting slightly bigger every single day. Started to feel a little fluttering 2 weeks ago and 6 days ago the proper kicks (as well as nice on in the bladder). My partner also was able to feel it. Incredible experience!! It seems like every moment when I sit on the sofa and just relax, our boy starts wriggling around. And in bed before falling asleep the same.

Good luck to everyone waiting for a scan!

Congratulations HippyJess to your wedding. Lovely photos!

cookielove · 13/05/2014 07:08

hippyjess your wedding looks fabulous :)

Scan is tomorrow for me I'll be 21+1.

Just had the worse night sleep so gonna go get one of those pillows today so I can snooze in comfort.

misog2000 · 13/05/2014 07:38

Newly glad to hear you feel better. Dont blame you for staying away!

Good luck cookie!

Congratulations velvet! Team blue!

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Inbl00m · 13/05/2014 08:46

Wow, been on hols and so much to catch up on!

I'd really recommend a holiday to anybody who's thinking about it but not sure. I was anxious about travelling but getting away from it all and relaxing in the warm weather is probably the best thing I've done so far in pregnancy.

Congrats Hippy, lovely pics!

holls2000 · 13/05/2014 09:20

hippyjess what lovely lovely photos xx

The name thing has caused concern amongst family, DH chose a name that he really liked (I was less sure) - made mistake of telling family. Oops. Then told BIL liked a certain name "you can't have that it's too like the one I want if we have a girl".
We have chosen a girls name and are almost there with a boy - but I am also aware that it may well arrive and not be at all like the name we have chosen. I could quite easily have a child who has no name for the entirety of it's life.
Scan in 2 hours. I feel like today is the day of reckoning. People scoff at my anxiety but there's not much I can do about it.

Kt1991 · 13/05/2014 10:59

Congrats on more scann news to everyone recently and good luck to those who have them coming up :)
Congrats hippyjess lovely photos, bump looks great In your dress!
I too have been feeling self conscious about my bump, it's quite big, I'm 22+5 but feel so huge! This is DC 2 so knew i would be showing earlier, but keep getting stares from random people which really makes me angry! Probably me being silly but don't like people doing double takes when they see me!
We're away in woolacombe this week, I agree it's nice to get away for a holiday, we would of liked to of gone abroad but had to get a new car etc,but this place were staying in is my DHs auntys apartment and was one of our wedding presents :)
