Hi all,

New thread and probably our last in ante-natal.

Holy crap!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thank you all for your lovely messages x misshoohaa I know what you mean by wishing you found out. Especially when I consulted Chinese gender predictor said I was having a boy and then it said I was +3 years older! According to lunar calendar.
It was really magic when the midwife brought the baby to us to find out.
Eliza if you are having cs or emcs they will remove the vanish or give you some spirit for your partner to remove it before you go to theatre.
But I also saw couple of ladies with pristine pedicure feet who we're planning normal delivery.
Right, I must stop rumbling now. Night nite mn and I hope to read baby news soon.
Aclxxx

aclxxx · 04/06/2014 23:23

Also wanted to say I had to have blood transfusion prior to cs because of low iron or hb count. Ladies if you are low on iron take those dreaded iron tablets to boost your hb.

Gingerandcocoa · 05/06/2014 07:43

39 weeks today. No sign of baby.........

Panicmechanic20 · 05/06/2014 13:20

Failed induction so doing it all again ! Hope you are all ok

Stacks · 05/06/2014 13:55

Will read the new posts later. You all dropped off my threads list. Full term today, but LO isn't engaged at all so not expecting any action soon! I'd love to have her here ASAP, heavily pg with a toddler is hard work! I think newborn plus toddler is going to be just as hard, or harder, but at least I'll have DH home and will be able to physically move much easier.

Mitchell2 · 05/06/2014 17:36

Good luck for take 2 panic!

ElizaB3 · 05/06/2014 17:40

Also in 39th week. No sign, but 4 texts, an email and 2 voicemails today to enquire about it! As though we might sneak it out and not actually tell anyone...Very tempting!

misshoohaa · 05/06/2014 18:45

Panic -oh no, that's rubbish! Hope things get moving soon. Good luck.

Stacks - second time round my midwife said the baby doesn't often drop till very late in the day so there is hope yet! Hope he/she doesn't keep you waiting too much longer.

Eliza - have you had the baby yet, any news? Wink Hehe - the check-ins are the worst.

So I'm not even 38 weeks and heaps of twinges and BH. I'm so ready for things to kick off, this cruel teasing is just awful. I can't remember with DS1 when it all started, probably weeks before as well. I'm hoping for a show as that was the real sign of things getting swiftly moving last time, literally 10 or so hours before he was born.

Good luck ladies Smile

Oh that one, right, I'd almost forgotten for a second there. Almost...

So over this now! cramps coming and going over the last few days, sharp pains in my lower regions and loads of bh. Just get out already!!!

I want one of those tv babies, labour always starts early, always starts dramatically and never lasts more than an hour. Mother is then back on her feet and in her jeans as if nothing had happened.

And relax......sorry to hear first induction failed panic, fingers crossed second time lucky.

Samichuboo · 06/06/2014 07:45

Well done all new mummies!

40+5 today and feeling (looking) like a walrus.

Stacks- I know how you feel, my toddler just doesn't stop all day will be glad when hubby starts his leave!

Had a sweep and stretch ( was very rough!) on Tuesday, was very disappointed to find only 1cm displayed especially after all the contractions if had for last week. Have been at the pineapple, chillies, lavender oil, bouncing on ball and trampoline, walking walking walking.

Had a nice surprise (if you can call it that) of the mucus plug this morning so glad to know things are actually happening. Booked for another sweep tomorrow but hopefully won't need it. Fingers crossed and legs wide open!

Good luck to everyone due to pop any minute now.

Redcliff · 06/06/2014 10:03

aclxxx - just catching up now and big congratulations.

I am also having lots of twinges but nothing real as yet (39 today) - lets hope things get moving soon.

wispaxmas · 06/06/2014 17:29

Panic, did they give you a bishop score? Apparently you should refuse induction if it's below a 6 as it's more likely to fail.

I'm sick and tired and fed up and overdue. Sweep yesterday morning and midwife said it all looked favourable. Bloody show at 8pm, more at 5am, but nothing other than stabby cervix pain (probably due to the sweep!) and BH off and on since. I had a couple of what I think we're real contractions, but they fizzled out. Now I'm sat here angry. Baby is supposed to cooperate and come BEFORE Sunday.

Second sweep booked for Sunday noon, then induction will be discussed Sad

Panicmechanic20 · 06/06/2014 18:05

Hi ladies, we have a baby boy! Delivered at 3.20am. Propess and pessary failed then went on drip for 4 hours got up to the max dosage and was getting set for a csection when we went from 4cm to fully dilated in less than 40mins - it was really painful as they didn't have time for an epidural. Did have petadine but it completely relaxed me to a struggle to push but all good in the end!

Good luck to everyone xxxx

Panicmechanic20 · 06/06/2014 18:07

No bishops score x

Angelina77 · 06/06/2014 18:16

Congrats Panic, really chuffed the induction worked in the end. Congrats on your little boy, is it your first DC?

Hang in there Wispa, hope the baby plays ball and things get moving this weekend! It so frustrating waiting.

Thank you everyone! Miss hoohaa this is my second and last!

Wispa any update? If you need any induction tips let me know as this is my 3rd!

Good luck everyone

Kxxx

wispaxmas · 07/06/2014 16:45

No update, still more of the same (including more grim bloody show in the night last night). It's my 30th tomorrow, and sad to say I'm now for the first time hoping baby shares my birthday. I was so positive she would arrive before hand, and it's now looking next to impossible, unless something dramatic suddenly starts.

wispaxmas · 07/06/2014 16:46

And massive congrats, panic, glad you didn't end up having to have a section!

Stacks · 07/06/2014 18:04

Congratulations panic. Sorry you had to go through the two inductions and the drip to get your wee one, but I'm sure he's scrummy and worth it!

I found I just had to relax and ignore my due date last time. Which was probably for the best as I went 16 days over in the end! Planning to do the same with this one as far as I can, but I'm worried at the prospect of a csection. So I'll be bouncing on the ball as much as I can from here on I think. Last time I did loads of walking, but with the spd this time I'm very limited in what I can do. Also, walking obviously didn't help much before!

Wispa it's probably counter productive to say so, but try to relax about baby coming. If you're stressed or angry you could stop labour from starting, as it interrupts your "love hormone" production. Maybe have yourself a nice bath, massage with DH and a glass of wine. With all that show it sounds like you're pretty close.
