Mumma if you want to talk it through to be prepared for the conversation I can highly recommend talking to the AIMS people - www.aims.org.uk. My doula put me in their direction and I had a chat to them about options etc and they provided me with info so I could make my decision.

Congratulations Bald - enjoy your newborn snuggles!!

Insomnia and heartburn.
Just come out already baby!!! 41/40 today and I'm so over this. Over over. More over than I was 3weeks ago. Luckily I have stuff happening every day now until induction date, which I don't really want but I'm not waiting any longer

Stacks · 03/07/2014 07:58

I had my wee girl last night after a short labour. Was 40+6 and mostly in denial all yesterday about what was happening. Didn't want to get my hopes up. In the end she was born after a very quick labour, going from 4-5cm to delivered in 40 minutes, with nothing but gas and air. She's now sleeping peacefully on my chest, and I've just managed to eat cold toast and soggy porridge. Gotta love nhs food. I'm hopefully going home today, I think this whole baby thing is going to get a little getting used to though, it all seemed a bit unreal and distant just a couple of days ago, and I fully expected to have till Monday to prepare!

Congratulations Bald and Stacks. My baby girl was born on Monday just home from hospital and starting to feel the benefits of strong painkillers!

Hopefully you won't be much longer mummy, it's awful when it drags on.

41+1...

Mw appt this afternoon and I'll be having another sweep.
Very tearful last night, SPD was bad, it was 27degrees and I was so fed up. Luckily it's the weekend, so OH will be off for next two days, then if nothing post dates appt on Monday and IOL Tuesday. If I keep busy I feel okay, and I slept a lot better last night, no insomnia.

Congrats Bald, Stacks, notsofast! Great news that your little ones have arrived, hope all is going well.

Mummymidwife, hope your little pickle makes an appearance soon! So hard when you are waiting but your time will come! Look forward to hearing your news and hope the SPD isn't too horrific over the weekend.

We are doing well, although DD was exposed to chickenpox yesterday, so now stressing she might get it. Was only in the same room, no touching of the infected child but the mum of pox baby did hold my DD. Praying DD is ok and she doesn't get it. I've googled it and it has freaked me out!!
