Holy crap!

I think there is 11 on FB now. It all got very quiet after the flurry of early ones, and then there were two planned sections last week, a boy and a girl (I don't know their MN names), and one unexpected 38 weeker over the weekend which was announced Sunday. One baby is in SCBU (which was to be expected as it was an early C Section) and then the other two are at home and all healthy etc. Not sure of the MN names for all of these people.

BUT there is a flurry of activity today - BEEWitched and two people are currently being induced, we have one who has been waiting since the weekend to be induced (pre eclampsia), and then two more who may or may not be in labor, one is at hospital seeing if her waters have broken and then the other is riding it out at home currently! Sorry, but only know one of the peoples MN names!

Me, I'm 38 weeks today, last week at work and praying that baby doesn't want to make an early appearance. Have too much to bloody do!

Samichuboo · 02/06/2014 19:21

Thanks Missmoohaa.

40+1 today, still waiting. Nice walk with dd in sunshine and chilli in curry today but as of yet no major action. Time to get bouncing on the ball tonight although I think the husband has other ideas which he can keep to himself!

cjbk1 · 02/06/2014 22:06

I had my baby girl by ELCS last week as did another lady but I'll let her announce herself no name yet for my bundle 7lb 7oz Wink x

misshoohaa · 03/06/2014 07:36

Congrats CJBK! Hope everything is going well, congrats to all the others too.

The symptom spotting is already taking over my life and I'm a good 2 weeks off my due date! I did try to convince myself the second time round is chill out and just enjoy it but there is no way I can enjoy this!!

How exciting! And congrats.

I had an awful night with cramps and a sore throat. Just can not get comfortable. My induction is booked in tomorrow so not long now

Hope that you all have nice days

CleverOl10 · 03/06/2014 12:00

Today seems a big day for our June Bus. Two babies born already and quite a few more on their way!! The bus has had 13 babies to date.

Angelina77 · 03/06/2014 12:21

Hi ladies. 37 + 2 here (22nd June, first baby, boy) so still a few weeks to go. Exciting to hear about other June EDD babies popping out though.

Only now starting to feel obvious BH but not sure how 'engaged' he is yet. How do you know? I've seen threads where people refer to being '3/5 engaged' - how do they know and what does it mean?

Notfastjustfurious · 03/06/2014 13:44

Just back from mw and baby had dropped any further since popping the top of her head in 4 weeks ago. Massively disappointed as I have been convinced things were happening.

Angelina we have same edd and I'm 4/5 which means she's 1/5 in my pelvis ie the top of her head is just in and that's it. Mw had a good feel around and that was her conclusion.

I had leg cramp for the first time last night, omg was that painful, think I'd rather have double labour than that again.

Congratulations to the lucky 13 so far, hope you are doing well Smile

Notfastjustfurious · 03/06/2014 13:45

has not

Angelina77 · 03/06/2014 13:52

Thanks not fast my midwife hasn't given me anything like that, nothing in notes either. I've got 38 wk appt next Wednesday so I'll ask then.

Sorry you haven't made more progress, leg cramps sound grim too.

Redcliff · 03/06/2014 16:26

Congrats Aj - hope you come up with a name soon. I was wondering the same thing about how engage people are and have been told a midwife can tell when they do the "pressing on tummy thing" - I have my next appointment on Thursday so will ask then. Am 38 + 4 today - have been on mat leave for two weeks now and am ready for baby to get here!

aclxxx · 03/06/2014 17:07

Feeling proud, I delivered baby daughter by cs on Saturday. We didn't find out the sex until she was born, it was the best experience ever. She came 3 days early! Having snuggles.
All went well, a bit sore and bruised but she is worth it she weighed 7lb 9oz. Best wishes, June mums, hope you have your babies soon.

Angelina77 · 03/06/2014 19:05

Congratulations aclxxx Grin

wispaxmas · 03/06/2014 19:13

Congrats acl, and good luck for tomorrow, panic!

I'm 'due' tomorrow and having trouble hiding my jealousy of all the new mums and their babies. Wink

Have been having crampiness and general achiness the last couple days and loads of BH, so hopefully my cervix is 'ripening' because I have a sweep booked for Thursday morning and I really want them to be able to do it.

misshoohaa · 03/06/2014 21:31

Good luck tomorrow Panic, and huge congrats ACL! We haven't found out the sex either, and whilst I'm pleased we've refrained, its doing my nut in not knowing!

Panic, hope the induction goes super smoothly and is as pain free as possible. Let us know your news when you can! Grin

I wouldn't worry too much about the 1/5, 3/5 thing, I think with my first I never got further than 2/5 and my little boy came on his due date. Also my midwife said today that second pregnancies might not engage till just before.

I've been twinging and aching the last few days but still don't think I'm anywhere near crossing into the throws of labour. I really hope I'm wrong, my community midwife is on the labour ward all day tomorrow so seems like a perfect opportunity!

Thanks ladies! Just lost my mucus plug which I wasn't expecting! Quite aching at the moment so maybe the consultant will be right and I won't need too much induction.

Will keep you posted and good luck all.

Also congrats to the mummies! X

Mummymidwife87 · 04/06/2014 03:09

I'm 36+6 today. On maternity leave now, so all feeling a but real.

Had tests for diabetes on Monday as I have increased fluid and a very large baby, waiting on results. Fingers crossed all normal. I also had an iron transfusion on Monday as my HB was very low even though I've been on iron supplements since 22/40.
Heart burn is a killer and carpal tunnel is upon me.

Travelling to newcastle from London on Thursday for a few days. Hoping baby stays put whilst I'm away

Gingerandcocoa · 04/06/2014 07:45

sorry you're having a rough time mummy - at least you've only got a few weeks to go now!!!

I have had zero symptoms of anything happening, other than the sharp pain down my pelvis which makes me hope the baby's head is moving down....

Panicmechanic20 · 04/06/2014 09:47

Just being induced now so will let you know when I am out the other side! Xx

wispaxmas · 04/06/2014 10:33

I hope it's quick, panic!

Sussex31 · 04/06/2014 13:10

Good luck, panic!

I am 38 weeks today, and baby was not engaged at all when I had my midwife appointment on Monday.

Just can't wait for her to be here now! Congrats to all those who have met their babies already.

Mummymidwife87 · 04/06/2014 17:53

All glucose results back and within the normal range although at the upper end. Will be run past the diabetic specialist midwife on Monday but shouldn't need treatment

Mitchell2 · 04/06/2014 18:09

Just caught up on the news for today... good luck Panic!

ElizaB3 · 04/06/2014 22:44

Congrats on the babies already; exciting times. Or not, if you're waiting! Heard its good to plan activities on your due day to keep your mind off it, anyone got any plans?

Also anyone been told wearing nail varnish is a no for going to hospital (in case of ending up with CS)?
