Hi all,

New thread and probably our last in ante-natal.

Holy crap!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

36 weeks today and feel about 100! Trying so hard to enjoy my last pregnancy and not wish it away as I know how much I missed my bump last time, but I am so tired! I spent all afternoon yawning. Finished work on Friday but have a hectic half term planned and then hopefully 3-5 weeks of feet up time in which I hope to solve a lot of mess disasters - builders, DIY and storage sorting (I am just going to oversee the heavy work and then fill the storage!)

Redcliff · 24/05/2014 22:42

Had some unexpected energy today so did some cleaning (bathroom was terrible and now looking a bit better) and managed to sort out some baby bits and keep on top(ish) of the washing up. Hope I don't flake out tomorrow - still got so much to do!

BaldHedgehog · 25/05/2014 07:57

Are you nesting Redcliff? Grin

Notfastjustfurious · 25/05/2014 20:08

So I have washed and organised all the newborn and 0-3 clothes, reorganised the toddlers clothes to make space. Bought nappies, teats, milk, bottlebrush and cotton wool. Packed my hospital bag and the baby's bag and sorted out the car seat. I am ready, bring on the baby!

Only 36 weeks today though so might have another 5 weeks to go.

wispaxmas · 25/05/2014 22:27

Will they only let you go 1 week over, notfast?

10 days until due date, potentially 20 says to induction if it comes to that (my hospital do them at 10 days past due), but really hoping for baby by D-day, or earlier!!

Redcliff · 25/05/2014 23:48

Hedgehog - maybe I am nesting :) hadn't thought of that ! Today not so great - did a bit more clearing up ( it never ends) but did manage to cook lunch and dinner and had a great game of dr who monopoly with DS and DP. Also DP did a ton of washing and refused my (half hearted ) offer of help hanging it up.

Notfastjustfurious · 26/05/2014 06:53

Have a cs booked for 40+1 wispa. I had induction last time which turned out to be a horrible long process that I'm not willing to repeat. Hoping it doesn't get to that point though, have had cramps for 2 hours 2 nights in a row, comes to nothing but surely must mean something???

Panicmechanic20 · 27/05/2014 10:12

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't posted for ages but I struggled to get re-registered. I have been reading and so pleased everyone is doing well and congrats to all the early babies. I have continued to have cord issues but so happy that I have made it to nearly 37 weeks. Going for a sweep on Monday and induction/Cs mid next week. Starting to slooooow down x

Stacks · 27/05/2014 14:36

I really need to get some time and energy to sit down and think about the reality of this baby and what we still need to do/buy/pack before she arrives. I've got 5 or 6 weeks left I think so not too much of a panic yet, but I'm full term in less than 2 weeks, so really need to think! Is there a nice easy list on a website anywhere I can just tick off on? You'd have thought having DS I'd know what I need, but I just don't have the brain power to think it through logically these days.

It can't be long now till more babies start arriving. Really not long till your d-day panic. How are you feeling about it?

Gingerandcocoa · 27/05/2014 19:02

I went to my local co-op today, and the check out lady asked when I was due. I said in two weeks, and she said "no way you're having that baby in two weeks, i'd say at least four!" because my bump is still so high......

That, combined with me finding my first stretch marks today, made me a bit down :( I want the baby to come soon!!!!!!!

Redcliff · 27/05/2014 23:28

It's so odd when people have opinions based on very little - when I told one of the girls at work my due date she said "clearly your not going to make it till then" - I guess due to my huge bump.

Mitchell2 · 28/05/2014 19:12

ginger - I have given up hope re my stretch marks. All are really down low so need to look into mirror to see but its all just too depressing!

1.5 weeks of work to go, 2.5 weeks until due date... am actually fed up now of being pregnant but don't want the baby to come yet! Just need a nice relax Grin

How is everyone else going? Some must be close to due now?

noseymcposey · 29/05/2014 22:47

Stacks I so know how you feel! I was much more prepared/on top of it/had a clue first time round!

At the moment I'm thoroughly enjoying being on maternity leave, sleeping and pottering about and not really ready for baby to come!

Don't forget the very true fact that the shops are still open once the baby is here so as long as you have clothes, nappies etc you're all good to get started!

MarlenaGru · 30/05/2014 13:54

I have a naughty transverse baby. About to have an ECV and really praying it goes ok. Been here for 5 hours now. Bored out of my mind but had the drugs so am hopeful that means they will be along shortly!

Midwife thinks my baby is hilarious as it keeps sticking bits out of my bump when being monitored! Thing is it does that all the time! I don't think it is hilarious!

Stacks · 30/05/2014 14:51

Midwife said my baby was breech at last appointment, but all my movements have been top right. Not had any low down kicks or pains at all. Hopefully that means she's turned, but I'm pretty sure she's not engaged at all. In only 36w though, and as this is my 2nd they're a bit more relaxed about position, as they tend to engage later or go in and out repeatedly.

Stacks · 30/05/2014 14:53

I meant to start that with :

Good luck Marlena, I hope they come get you soon, and things go well with the turning. Are you full term now then, or do they do the eco earlier than 40w?

noseymcposey · 30/05/2014 19:19

Good luck Marlena - hope baby is co-operative!

Gingerandcocoa · 30/05/2014 22:38

Marlena hope it went ok!!!

I finished work today :) very exciting. Am having a bit of a hormonal night though. DH is out having a curry with friends and I'm crying for being home alone, feeling sorry for myself!

Notfastjustfurious · 31/05/2014 07:11

Not sure what ecv is but hope it worked Marlena.

I have one day left to work next Wednesday and then I'm free!!! Can't wait, I deal with customer queries a lot and their stupid questions and poor me attitude is getting on my nerves.

Been getting lots of stabby pains and cramping on and off for the last few days so hoping I'm going to be having this baby pretty soon.

Ginger, hope you feel better today. Hormones suck, I was crying at Maleficent in the cinema the other night, luckily it was 3d and the glasses hid me.

Samichuboo · 01/06/2014 21:47

Due date today and it's quickly disappeared! Cleaned whole house from top to bottom and enjoyed a BBQ in the sunshine. Hoping this one doesn't wait as long as dd who was over a week late, I already feel and look like a beached whale. Good luck to all of you as you reach your due dates.

misshoohaa · 02/06/2014 07:22

Sami - good luck, hope the due date is nicely accurate, it does sound like you are nesting!

Not due till the 22nd, and feeling decidedly fed up, actually quite comfortable, physically as I'm sporting a smallish bump but emotionally feeling the strain. I'm usually a very rational person but this pregnancy had turned me into a slightly deranged cow, my husbands quite summed it up nicely yesterday 'I can't wait for you to not be pregnant anymore, I'm sick of being shouted at!' Hmm

We must have some more birth announcements over on FB? The thread here picked up for a little while but seems to have tailed off again!

Good luck girls, June is here finally!

Gingerandcocoa · 02/06/2014 09:00

Good luck for this week, everyone!!! Hopefully we will have a few people move on to postnatal by Friday ;)

I had some light cramping yesterday after doing some walking - was really hopefully but feeling nothing this morning :( Today is my first day of mat leave so will try to do some more walking, and maybe stop at the supermarket for some pineapples...........

Gingerandcocoa · 02/06/2014 09:01

(by the way, I'm definitely NOT nesting... sink is full of dishes and some of baby's clothes still need washing!!! haven't even made up the bed today...)

BaldHedgehog · 02/06/2014 09:09

Hello ladies:)
So that's our month then?
Wishing everybody quick and light labour.
Will try to write something more soon waddles away to put washing away and clear the food from toddler DS bomb breakfast zone

Panicmechanic20 · 02/06/2014 11:40

Just got back from the hospital and had my sweep (ouch). Was already 2cm dilated so consultant is quite hopeful that I will go into labour before my planned induction on weds - its finally happening! Starting to worry about things I won't remember from last time like feeding and sleep times etc. good luck to everyone else xxx
