Nothing new. Same old story, hanging in there on a daily basis. Heartburn is a killer and feel like a whale. I am so ready to have this baby. Am 37 weeks tomorrow. Stopped the baby asprin and so far so good but it hasn't stopped me from worrying. Can't wait to start hearing birth announcements on here. Feels like we have all come do far and hopefully will give hope and strength to others who were in a similar position to us 8 months ago, feeling very lucky at the moment but don't think I will 100% believe this will happen until my little girl is in my arms xxx

Tumtimes1 · 16/08/2014 15:24

Hiya Milly good to hear from you. Have they got aby special plans for your birth?
I have now been booked in for a c section as baby is transverse. This is scheduled for the 4th September. Only 2.5 weeks to go. OMG. Will need you all posted.
How's everyone else doing? Xx

Tumtimes1 · 16/08/2014 15:25

Sorry for all the typos this phone is crap.

nearlyreadytopop · 18/08/2014 06:11

hi, massively pregnant here. CS is booked for next week. I cant believe this pregnancy is nearly over. Totally paranoid about baby movements. Hope everyone else is keeping well and enjoying these final weeks as best you can x

nearlyreadytopop · 18/08/2014 06:32

I dont want to upset anyone at such a happy time but..
it was the anniversary of my first mc last week. I dont know if its the hormones but it hit me harder than I expected. The closer I get to due date the more im thinking about the lossesSad

TaytoCrisp · 18/08/2014 15:08

So exciting that a few of the babes are nearly here! It feels so much more concrete than it did in the first trimester, it will be just great to hear everyone's news when the shiny new little ones start to appear.

Im having a c-section at the end of sept., hope to get date soon. Feeling very tired etc., but off for most of september which is fantastic!

Good luck next week nearly - i think you will be first then tum then milly. Sorry that you were feeling sad last week... hopefully that wont last too long and you will have exciting news soon!

nearlyreadytopop · 18/08/2014 21:17

tayto I was wondering how you were doing. Hopefully Sept will fly in for you.

Tumtimes1 · 20/08/2014 13:41

Hey guys - how's it going?

Yesterday I felt like movements had reduced for baby and for the first time felt worried enough to call up the delivery suite.
After a confusing conversation with the midwife she told me to come straight in.
I have to say having not been to the delivery suite before I found myself feeling very anxious. Obviously with the worry for the baby but also just being in that environment. I think I mentioned I had anxiety a few years ago and had cbt for a while to try to alleviate it. On occasion though it still rears it's ugly head and last night was one of those times.
I could feel my heart racing as we sat at reception waiting for the midwife.
Eventually I was hooked up to the fetal trace ctg and ended up on that for an hour.

She kicked her way through most of it and afterwards I was told that all seemed normal.
I saw the obstetrician afterwards who heckled my cervix was closed and it was.
They have said that if reduced movements continue to go back in so today I am closely monitoring this. I am defo noticing the movements have changed and they are slightly reduced but for example I have had around 20 separate movements since waking up this morning.

I now feel paranoid and panicky but gonna keep a close eye on this and call them if I need to..
How is everyone else?
Xx

Tumtimes1 · 20/08/2014 13:42

Heckled my cervix? Checked I mean!

nearlyreadytopop · 25/08/2014 10:59

tum your 'heckled' cervix made me smile. My first pregnancy mine was well heckled as I had 3 sweepsGrin
Its very worrying when movements stop even for a little while. Its something I never question about getting checked out.
This week Im having a baby!Grin I dont know what to do with myself while I wait.
Hope everyone else is well.

TaytoCrisp · 27/08/2014 23:17

Cant wait to hear your news once baby is here nearly!

4 weeks to go here - got my planned c-section date today. Cant believe we have come this far. Very excited! Total mayhem in work but finishing up soon..

Huge baby though - in 97th percentile for abdomen circumference. Better big then small I guess...

Hope everyone else is keeping well too.

nearlyreadytopop · 28/08/2014 03:50

TaytoCrisp · 01/09/2014 14:14

Good luck on Thursday Tum. Look forward to hearing your news after! Im sure it will be fine , even great! But i can understand you feeling up and down. After a few weeks of calmness i am getting anxious too, i think i will cry with relief when the baby comes...Planned section in 3 weeks and 2 days...

Hope you have your feet up tum!

nearlyreadytopop · 02/09/2014 16:10

oh tum I know how you feel, this time last week I was so worried and stressed and nothing anyone said would make it any better.
My cs was lovely and it was calm. Ds came out perfectly healthy, the midwife checked him out and then dh held him beside my head. They went to recovery a little before me, I was wheeled in and we had skin to skin and his first bf.
I'm not great with pain but have been pleasantly surprised by how managable it is. I had my catherter out and was mobile after 12 hrs. ds was a little mucosy but that cleared pretty quickly.
I will be honest and say getting the spinal in was the worst bit for me but it was a good time to practice my calming breathing exercisesSmile

Tumtimes1 · 02/09/2014 19:11

Thanks nearly for the advice I appreciate you writing.
I am worried about the numbness as I can imagine that will make me feel out of control and have been doing breathing and hypno exercises in anticipation for this.
It's not tomorrow but the next day (thurs) and I feel very surreal and very weird. I thought I would be bursting with excitement but that is not the case and it just feels so over whelming after such a long journey.
I will keep everyone posted on how it goes and catch you on the flip side. Xxxx

fedupofrainydays · 04/09/2014 07:34

Hope it goes well today tum
Thinking of you xx

Tumtimes1 · 09/09/2014 12:19

Hello all! Well finally after being on this journey for some time our little rainbow baby has arrived. Mia was born by c section on the 4th and is gorgeous. She is a little Jaundice but the midwife says it's nowt to worry about.
My emotions are all over the place, we never thought we would get here but here she lies next to me sound asleep as I type this post.
Love and light to you all and will keep you posted. Xxx
