I'm here. Mostly lurking wishing I could speed up time.
There is a possibility I have gestational diabetes. Baby measuring on 91st centile at 28 weeks and glucose in my urine makes the Doctor think its likely. I have another gtt on Thursday to check.

TaytoCrisp · 17/06/2014 04:09

I'm here too. On hols though with poor wifi access. Seems ok at 4am though! (Still waking for 2 hrs at this time most nights...).

nearly good luck on thurs... Hope ur feeling ok.

Staying local on hols this yr - just 1.5 hrs from usual residence in case any problem... Plus there is a lovely family hotel with lots of activity for dd who is having a great time! Our Self-catering could do with a lick of paint - its very brown, compact and worn out looking, but lots of activities in the wider complex. Was feeling a bit hemmed in following 2 days of near constant rain. But yesterday was fab and we really relaxed. Hopefully we will get another day or two like that!

Nearly 25 wks now! Will be counting down on my return from hols - taking leave a whole month before official due date! Though expecting an early rather than late arrival given cervical stitch from what u can see on other threads.

Hope all are well too!

Tumtimes1 · 17/06/2014 13:40

Hiya guys,
I too am wishing things would speed up - I will be 28 weeks on Friday. At the moment I am noticing my tummy feels "heavy" is this cos of stretching. Anyone else feeling this?

tayto how long have you got left at work? I have 4.5 weeks and CANT WAIT!
nearly I have my GD test this friday. Only reason I am being tested is someone else in the family has diabetes. Let us know how you get on on thursday.
x

TaytoCrisp · 19/06/2014 06:41

Good luck with the gd test today nearly.. Hope it's ok.

Congrats on hitting 28wks tomorrow tum. That's great! I definitely also get the heaviness feeling you describe. It freaks me out when it's quiet low down as I think baby is looking for the door! But usually goes away.

I have about 10 more weeks in work, including a few hols so hope to start windining down when I get back from hols and focusing on finishing current projects.

Bit paranoid today with itchy feeling down below. Don't think it's thrush as have no smelly discharge. Don't think it's uti as don't need to pee often. It's just this morn so far but this kind of thing worries me with cervicsl stitch - fear of infection (though no fever). Anyway, hope it will just go away for the rest of our hols! Maybe it's just all this lovely warm weather!

Hope everyone else is keeping well.

nearlyreadytopop · 19/06/2014 12:59

Gtt done and it wasn't too bad. if anything shows up in the blood tests I will get a phone call tomorrow.

I keep forgetting to ask about the whooping cough vac. I think I have to get it before 31 weeks. Has anyone else had it yet?

Millysdream · 20/06/2014 06:02

Hi all just checking in. I guess we are all just playing the waiting game from now on. Time is dragging so much- 29 weeks tomorrow and 4 weeks left at work although 20 days sounds better. If my MIL says one more time how this feels like the longest pregnancy she has ever known, I am going to smack her! How the hell does she think I feel? Every second of every day worrying. She has too much time on her hands. She has said it 4 times now! I wouldn't mind but we only told people at 16 weeks!

Looks like it's going to be a hot summer ladies. Maxi dresses and kimonos for me all the way. Primark have some cheap maxis I keep dressing up. I just buy a bigger size and they are stretchy. Least can wear my kimonos afterwards.

Have a nice week ladies x

fedupofrainydays · 20/06/2014 13:08

Hello from holidays. 24 weeks today! Still on constant knicker watch and also have that scary heavy feeling. Think I'm driving my sister mad with what I will and won't eat but she's keeping schtum bout it.
Last day though and it's been a lovely break. Ds has loved it, playing with his cousins so I am so looking forward to when he has a sibling. Even though age gap bigger than I wanted, just grateful it looks like he will be getting one!

Tumtimes1 · 21/06/2014 17:57

Hey all! What a lovely day today. Longest day of the year as well.
Nice to hear from you milly loving the maxi dress idea - i am struggling with the heat myself.
Hey fedup glad you're having a nice holiday - I too have the heavy feeling. Annoying.
tayto I have had stinging below but just had a swab and was normal. Maybe it's just irritated by the heat.

In other news - I am in the process of hiring a doula. We just feel too anxious about this induction without having someone there who knows what they're doing. Unfortunately so far my experience of midwives hasn't been so positive (far too brash for a sensitive soul like me) so I think a doula will help. We aren't rich but we will pay for a positive experience any day of the week if possible!
I start hypno birthing in July (we) and looking forward to that.

Still stressing and actively counting baby's kicks with my kick counter bracelet. Last night I woke up and I couldn't feel her and couldn't sleep until she kicked again. I am trying to work out how long they sleep for max is it 90 mins? She is now back to normal movement. Phew.

Tumtimes1 · 21/06/2014 18:11

Oh yeah I ha,d the glucose tests thing. Yick that drink was gross! And the wait booooring! I don't suppose I have it but worth getting checked I suppose x

nearlyreadytopop · 23/06/2014 18:48

just got my gtt results and all is normal. It looks like I'm just going to have a big baby. Ds1 was 9lb 6oz and dh is over 6ft so I am not surprised. Determined not to get worked up over the growth scans like I did the last time.
I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the holidays

JBrd · 04/07/2014 11:39

Hello all of you lovely ladies!
Just wanted to quickly pop my head back into the thread to let you know that I'm thinking of all of you and am silently cheering you on from the back. Hope everyone is doing OK.

I'm still in limbo about what to do next... Physically, all is good, I have recovered well (apart from trying to loose the weight I put on whilst pg, grrr). We have the appointment with the consultant at the end of the month to discuss the results from the tests. Not sure where we will go from there, it'll depend on what the outcomes are.

Wishing you all a lovely and hot summer and that you're not too uncomfortable in this heat! Thanks xx

TaytoCrisp · 04/07/2014 14:29

Lovely to hear from you JBrd, sounds like you are doing well. I hope the appointment at the end of the month will be helpful. I will be thinking of you...

How is everyone? It is fairly quiet on here these days - which I think is sign of slightly less anxiety!

I am 27 weeks (+2) today, and I can hardly believe it. Never thought we'd get this far. Feeling tired but generally good, and look forward to moving to our new house in a few weeks.

Have a great weekend all!

Tumtimes1 · 05/07/2014 23:34

Hi all - thought I'd pop in to see how everyone is doing. Think you're right tayto that maybe anxiety is slightly letting up. Altho I have to say it never goes away for me.

In my world I have 2 weeks left of work yay!
So far all seems ok altho I've been asleep since 8.30pm tonight and just woke up feeling a bit nauseus. Anyone else had any nausea around now? I'm 30 weeks.
Other than that had our first nct class today which was weird and good all at the same time. We start hypno birthing next week.
Anyone else doing any classes?
X

TaytoCrisp · 06/07/2014 13:49

30 weeks tum - that's fantastic! And only 2 more weeks of work to go.. yay!

I haven't had any nausea. But never got that the "blooming feeling", and get a lot of abdominal twinges which are probably fine, but i get paranoid because of the stitch, thinking it might be coming apart as tings move on. Rushed for a bus last night and was quiet annoyed with myself after!

I did hypnobirthing before DD1 and found it extremely helpful (building confidence, reduced anxiety). In retrospect i think it helped me manage a rather traumatic birth experience quiet well (and in any case we had a perfect outcome that time with healthy DD1 :-).

fedupofrainydays · 06/07/2014 18:01

Hi jbrd glad to hear you are recovering well physically. I think about you a lot actually, wonder how you are doing so really pleased to hear from you. I hope the appointments go well and help you guys to choose the right path for you next.

Wow - 30 weeks!! I'm 26 and absolutely knackered today. Went out on hen do til 1 am and totally spaced out today! I am still anxious - and still on knicker watch -but yes. A lot less anxious than before. Started kick counting as my latest thing!

I've got 21 days left of work - or 7 weeks as work 3 days a week so finishing end of aug. Wish it was only two weeks!!

fedupofrainydays · 06/07/2014 18:04

Ps. I was sick on Friday night randomly. So my ms comes and goes. It did the same with ds, as I remember being sick a fair bit in the third trimester too.
No classes here - did NCT last time and not much of the hypno type really. Thought about doing another NCT but not sure I will now, instead will hopefully take the baby to classes and meet people that way (only real reason I do classes!!!)

Tumtimes1 · 14/07/2014 20:15

Hi all how is everyone?
ALl is ok in my camp - I'm 32 weeks on Friday which seems crazy.

The weekend was surreal - had an actual baby shower organised by my close girlfriends - which always seemed like an impossibility and it was very over whelming. Everyone was so kind and generous.

Yesterday we went for a 4d scan we booked months ago on group on. I have to say I didn't love it, the lady kept saying do you want more picture s and I was like that's quite enough thanks. Im sure the baby was like 'right f*ck off now and leave me alone'
It was weird seeing her face, I thinks she's a beaut but she was rather squished so will see how she comes out. Haha.

In other news just one week to go until I'm finished at work. Yay!!

Would be good to get an update on how everyone is doing. Xx

TaytoCrisp · 14/07/2014 22:51

32 weeks tum, that's great!

All good here. Really tired and Work is busy though only 6.5 weeks to go til i take annual leave then mat. Leave. I Will be 29 weeks on wed - yay 3rd trimester! Looking forward to a Growth scan this week, and hopefully my consultant will have time for chat about delivery plans its been on my mind... Moving house in a few weeks too! Still can hardly believe we have come his far... Tempted to start proactively thinking of names!

Hope everyone else is well...

fedupofrainydays · 19/07/2014 21:30

Hi all!
Wow 32 weeks! Im 28 now. And 6 weeks til finish work. But away for one so really 5.
All ok here too - have major paranoia moments about movement and still religiously check knickers and tissue for blood but otherwise I'm ok! Tube in this heat was horrific though so decided to wfh a bit more this week.

So far I've bought a baby carrier and that's it! And considered a few names but find it hard to imagine a baby in about 3 months!

Hope everyone else doing well x

nearlyreadytopop · 23/07/2014 10:24

hi everyoneSmile

just checking in, this thread has dropped of my list.
Hope everyone is doing well and handling the heat.
I'm 34 weeks now. The birth negotiations have started with the hospital. It doesn't feel real.
Do we have a list of due dates for everyone? x

Millysdream · 23/07/2014 18:37

Hi all. Am 34 weeks on Saturday. Sickness has started up again guessing because the baby is bigger. On the plus side I am feeling her move loads at the minute which helps me.
Next panic is stopping my baby asprin at 36 weeks. For those of you who don't know- I had 3 miscarriages at 7 weeks and before had tests found out I was pregnant with this little miracle. They put me on asprin but I don't really know if it's helped. It's my safety blanket though.
Going to be a nervous wreck once I'm off it xx

So glad that everyone else is doing well. Really pleased for you all. These little babies will be so wanted loved and treasured xxx

TaytoCrisp · 28/07/2014 12:07

Great that everyone is keeping well!

Nearly 31 weeks here and feeling huge. Hard to breath. Due date is 1 Oct though consultant is booking me in for c-section a few days before due to previous complications - suits me fine! Only 8.5 weeks to go!

Looks like Milly and Nearly will be first off the block.. really look forward to hearing some exciting baby news... BUT not for another few weeks ;-)

fedupofrainydays · 28/07/2014 19:18

I'm not due til 10 oct.
Having a shocker of a time at the mo - not really baby related apart from being knackered and constantly worried about whether it's moving enough - but more with out house extension / renovations and work and bring effectively homeless! Finding it all too much to cope with :(

Bring on September when hopefully it will all be finished and am on mat leave

Glad to hear everyone is well Grin

Tumtimes1 · 02/08/2014 09:20

Hey all!

I am 34 wks 1 day today and can't believe I only have about 4/5 weeks to go.

In my world as mentioned previously my birth is going planned to be an induction at 38 weeks. However since researching this I had some reservations about the syntoconin drip. I have a history of a heart condition and I understand that this drip can cause arrhythmia's/palpitations in some people. Wouldn't be a problem as not dangerous per se, but with my history of the heart condition and anxiety I don't necessarily think this is the right route for me.

I went to see the cardiologist yesterday and to have an egg as I have been experiencing skipped heart beats and flutters and thankfully my heart condition has not come back. I am the same as everyone else. However, he understands my concerns and therefore has mentioned that it wouldn't be unreasonable to request an elective c section.

I know that c sections/s carry their own risks but for me, anxiety wise I feel this will be a more straight forward process.

OBVS I wish I could just have a natural birth with no intervention but that was off the table a good few months ago and I have accepted that.

I have been doing a private tailor made hypo birthing class and also have a doula for added support during what ever labour we have. So all in all this is now very very real and I am excited.

Whats new with everyone else? xxxx
