Grin bugs

Tumtimes1 · 03/06/2014 20:29

Hooray!!!!!!!!!

TaytoCrisp · 03/06/2014 20:30

Yay!! That's great. Enjoy the relief and reassurance!!

fedupofrainydays · 04/06/2014 21:05

Oh guys I'm so gutted. One of my best friends who miscarried same time as my first mc got a bfp through ivf this week, only to find out today her hcg is dropping and miscarrying :(
They are heartbroken. Can I ask a dumb question. With ivf can't they select the best eggs so are less likely to miscarry for chromosomal issues etc or are the odds exactly the same as a normal pregnancy? Not sure if anyone will know on here but thought would ask. So gutted for them :(

She was on a cocktail of drugs, maybe that was the prob. I don't know all the ins and outs yet. I assume she had two put back in (as said she would if poss) and is there any chance she could have lost just one and one is ok? I guess the clinic will know. Just really want them to be able to have their baby.

TaytoCrisp · 04/06/2014 23:35

It is so unfair rainy - your poor friend. My fabulous friend was in a similar situation recently. She has put on a brave face but it must terribly hard for her and her DH. She would be such an amazing mummy; I really hope there is better luck in store four your friend (and mine) in the coming months. Sorry, I don't know enough about ivf to respond to your question.

fedupofrainydays · 05/06/2014 07:24

I just don't want them to give up. As I think it will happen (i don't know that but feel it) so I hope they give it another go in a month or two when the clinic has put some thought into what they may do differently. Hope things work out for you friend too tayto
Sorry to hijack this thread with that, was just feeling so sad for them.

On a brighter note, it's our wedding anniversary today! Off to a spa hotel tomorrow night and grandma is having ds to stay (think she's dreading the chaos!!)

TaytoCrisp · 05/06/2014 20:14

Have a fab anniversary treat rainy - sounds lovely!

23 + 1 today - an important milestone as mc1 was exactly at 23 weeks... Emotional yesterday but feeling slightly relieved now and optimistic!! Roll on up the weeks!

fedupofrainydays · 06/06/2014 07:23

I booked a pregnancy massage then saw it was £80 so cancelled it again! That's a rip off!!! Got a local place that does them for £40. Will go there another weekend instead!

fedupofrainydays · 06/06/2014 07:24

So pleased you passed your scary milestone tayto

I had a wobble yesterday as I had a really strong coffee (forgot to ask for single shot) and was so worried all day as didn't feel any movement. Surely one coffee can't do any harm? Do I need a fish slap????

nearlyreadytopop · 09/06/2014 18:45

I'm back and just in time. My stupid phone was refusing to connect using the app luckily mnhq sorted it out.
I hope everyone is doing ok?
I'm wobbling a bit (a lot) today. 28 weeks now and I had a bright red bleed the size of a 10p on wiping yesterday. A trip to maternity ward and an internal showed its most likely from a cervical erosion.
I had a scan as well and my little kicker isn't so little. Measuring 2 weeks ahead on the 91st centile and a lot of fluid. I made the mistake of googling and scared myself silly.

fedupofrainydays · 10/06/2014 21:03

nearly hope you are ok? Any bleeding is super scary

Ugh - so hot here today, struggled in my long sleeved loose top and cropped trousers. How will I cope when it's even hotter?! Not helped by the tube blasting hot air on my face!

Yes, thanks bugs I'm back to my single shot. I have just one coffee a day and it's single shot now. Well within the guidelines. Todays movement sesh was just before lunch. Been very quiet ever since!

Is anyone else's bump quite hard in one place? Mine is really hard on the right hand side and bit softer on the left. Anyone else got wonky bump?!

fedupofrainydays · 10/06/2014 22:36

Ps. Had a fab anniversary treat - and a lie in!! Amazing!

TaytoCrisp · 11/06/2014 05:06

nearly just saw your post! How frightening! Glad they identified a likely cause. Hope you are getting extra special attention for a few days. You deserve a relaxing treat for urself after that shock!! How are you today?

24 weeks today! This is a milestone, as now the little one is officially a baby! Ie if they were born now they would have a good chance of surviving and would be considered a live birth ( not the case legally at 23+6). I know this might sound a bit negative but I guess this type of thing is on my mind a lot having previously delivered at 23 wks - that's considered a late mc, but from 24 weeks on you would be entitled to mat leave if you deliver, and have a birth cert for your baby.. Awake since 4am thinking of this kind of thing!! Waking up at about 3:30 for a couple of hrs every night recently. Feel asleep while working from home yesterday. Not good! Looking forward to a weeks hols from this wkd.

rainy great you had such a nice time for the anniversary, good timing for relaxation and lie ins.

Right.. What will I do with myself for another 2 hrs til 7am? Hmmm. Maybe look at ordering some lavender for the pillow - a few drops can help with relaxation and stop thoughts racing. Please send any other suggestions this way!

nearlyreadytopop · 11/06/2014 10:14

yay tayto 24 weeks! I know exactly what you mean. I think I relaxed a little around then.
I have been really out of sorts this week, very emotional and even more tired than normal. I rereading my notes from beginning to end and there is nothing negative. I'm feeling very irrational. Looking forward to a chat with my doctor tomorrow morning.

Fedup I hear you on these tubes. The nortnern line is the worst! PHOOF!

Tayto happy viability day! I quite liked all your facts, I didnt know that the baby would be consider MC after 20 weeks. I know its morbid to think about but I too have thoughts like this and my mind races.

Nearly sorry about your bleed - hoe your ok now and it has all stopped!

IN my news I am 27 weeks on Friday which is ACE. Only 5.5 weeks left of work WHOOP! Couldnt come quicker!

And finally we are starting to buy stuff. Feels very strange but also good.

I have found a hypno birthing place that will work with me privately towards having an iduction which is wicked. Starts in July.
Also signed up to NCT to get some new friends. haha. Apparently that is the best thing about it I am told. xx

fedupofrainydays · 13/06/2014 23:46

Off on holidays in 5 hours - so late packing! I almost forgot my mat notes too Blush

Hope everyone is well and will
