Continued Sep-Oct thread for ladies who have experienced more than one loss in the past, so as to not scare the regular October folk!

Great news bugs! And you are not far off half way!!

nearlyreadytopop · 15/05/2014 18:53

yay for the buglet hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.
I finally bit the bullet and bought some new maternity clothesSmile

fedupofrainydays · 15/05/2014 19:56

Great news bugs!

I'm in full blown maternity now too and find it amusing how people at work are double taking me now but not saying anything - love it. I worked myself up about people knowing for so long and now it's obvious I can't be bothered / feel the need to 'tell' people!
I've borrowed from all sorts of people this time so only actually bought two pairs of leggings and two tops! Hoping i will get by with all the hand me downs and stuff from last time!

How lush is this weather?! Makes me want a nice cold glass of Sauvignon blanc! But sticking with becks blue instead or elderflower!!

squizita · 18/05/2014 10:00

Fedup me too! Thank goodness for fake beer.

Now I have a bump I have to drink it out of the bottle though and flash the blue 0% label. Too many busybodies.

OP posts:
Tumtimes1 · 18/05/2014 11:40

oooooh I've not tried that becks that does it taste ok?

squizita · 18/05/2014 12:23

Yes pretty good. My favourite is Bavaria 0% and Fosters Radler 0% (weird choice to make 0% version of- the regular stuff is only 2% so drivers could have 2!). Radler is lemony and beery.

...don't touch Fre 'de alcoholised wine' with a bargepole though. Utterly rank. Asda own brand sparkling grape (comes in a champagne style bottle) is lovely.

fedupofrainydays · 18/05/2014 13:05

Yes Bavaria is one or my favourites too! Have to be really cold though and it's delicious! Yes can imagine the busy bodies! I get funny looks if I sip one glass of prosecco at an event!!

Agree - de acholised wine is just rank!!

TaytoCrisp · 18/05/2014 19:45

Must keep an eye out for that Bavaria! Smile

nearlyreadytopop · 20/05/2014 15:28

25 week midwife check up for me today. It was lovely to hear the heartbeatSmile . Have booked my maternity leave as well, it feels quite real. The midwife says I need to relax and enjoy this pregnancy and let them look after me. I wish it was so easy!
Hope everyone else is keeping well x

TaytoCrisp · 20/05/2014 17:55

That's great Nearly. Great to be so far on!

I had my 20 week scan yesterday, all looked fine. Roll on to wk 25! Then i think i might start to relax a bit more. It is feeling quiet real these days with a growing bump and extra round face (well.. that's the extra round face is from the crisps and choc!). And the need to confirm mat leave by week 25..cautiously excited!

nearlyreadytopop · 21/05/2014 17:35

brilliant news tayto I can't believe we are all so far alongSmile It seems like an age since I poas.
I have been so focused on the need to keep this one in that I stopped worrying about the birth part. I had a particularly rubbish time with ds and I don't know what will be for the best this time. Next appointment with the consultant at 28 weeks so hopefully get a chat about it then.

fedupofrainydays · 21/05/2014 19:43

Great news tayto
Mine is on Friday and yes, am nervous.
It's amazing we have come this far! I'm almost half way!
I've had the birth chat nearly and was very weird as hadn't really ever thought I would get that far, and still feel weird imagining a take home baby!

mine was going up and down on a daily basis. now its just big and hard unless im lying on my back and then it feels more podgy than bumpy.

Tumtimes1 · 22/05/2014 15:30

Hey all - how you doing?

I had a big freak out yesterday and succumbed to another provate scan which we really cant afford. The baby was fine and she is meaesuring 1.5 weeks ahead! So my bump issue was unfounded.

In other news I have a bit of a boob problem. No one on the internet seems to have this or it is rare. But basically have any of you ladies noticed that if you touch your breasts lightly on the skin that they feel a bit numb?

I have noticed that the underneath of my bosoms (both) are numb to the touch but I can still feel pressure. A couple of women online in pregnancy seem to have had this and there are no conceerned warning ntices around about this - can only think its where the skin has stretched? I have docs tomorrow so will ask him but just wondered if I am completely on my own.

Anyone? Anyone? Numb boobs anyone?

fedupofrainydays · 22/05/2014 17:06

Mine goes up and down too. I was huge yesterday but not so big today. I've been trying to forget I've got my scan tomorrow

Ha ha tum I have no idea but will have a good prod tonight and let you know. Currently on a bus so not sure that appropriate! My areolas (sp?) have got huge tho!

Glad all was well at the scan. I think somehow we find the money for these reassurances. It's worth it for your sanity.

fedupofrainydays · 23/05/2014 07:26

I can report back with no numb boobs. But I don't think it's something to worry about as it's just as your body changes / preparing the milk - but still ask your gp. Are you in non underwired bras?

Ok so panic starting to kick in... Anomaly in 4 hours. Feel sick with nerves.
