Thanks all. She's still in intensive care! 11 1/2 weeks she's been in hospital now :( she said to me (well mouthed to me as she can't speak due to the tracheostomy) that she wants to live and meet her granddaughter. Good thing for her to be focusing on really.

I sobbed my socks off at OBEM Conan part! Lol at the veg aisle moomin. Aren't hormones crazy!? xxxx

Bornin1984 · 01/04/2014 18:53

I've had an impromptu ANC appt today due to lack of movement an
Also had a scan! Mini me not happy moving but fluttering away on ctg! His belly still over 95th centile and fasting blood sugars r crap!! Consultant has decided to bring elcs forward a week! Mini me arrives 15 April! Estimated weight today 2.8kg ... Or 6lb6!!

NestingNesting123 · 01/04/2014 21:18

Hi everyone, another thread! I missed a lot of the last thread after being admitted to hospital with a bleed last week. I'm out again now but diagnosis of placenta praevia means I'll be spending the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy in hospital before an ELCS Sad Not how I imagined spending my last weeks of freedom at all.

It's good to read about blankets, I have been feeling a bit lost as to what to buy! NCT classes recommended cellular blankets but there don't seem to be any pretty ones out there which is a shame.

Chip86 · 01/04/2014 21:30

Nesting poor you scary time for you lookafter yourself

welcome becky and any other newbies i have missed

dobedobedo · 01/04/2014 22:24

bornin you're meeting your baby very soon! Grin

nesting mamas and papas do lovely cellular blankets. Not the normal blue, white and pink colours. Also I think it's 3 for 2 on their blankets at the mo!

Just back from first antenatal class. Dh loved it. He's such a pregnancy geek. I'm knackered and swollen so badly all over. I can't wait for maternity leave to start! 3 more days of work left! Grin Grin Grin

I have ds sleeping beside me tonight. I know this means I'll get hardly any sleep cos he's a noisy, sweaty little sleeper, but I don't sleep much these days anyway, and he's going away with his school tomorrow until Friday! I'm going to fall apart Sad It's so scary to let him go, but he'll have fun and learn lots so it doesn't matter how I feel. (my pfb!)

Night ladies! Brew

impatientlywaiting · 01/04/2014 22:55

Wow Bornin your baby will be here so soon. Looks like it could very much be you who has May Baby number 2.

Hezbean · 02/04/2014 00:13

2 weeks to go bornin! That's so exciting!

Bornin1984 · 02/04/2014 01:38

Grrrrrrr why won't this little bugger move so I can feel him!

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 04:51

hello everyone. I was due to finish for mat leave tomorrow. started having contreactions monday night which I was ignoring thinking must just be painful bh..went to work tuesday had a bleed around 2pm..kept bleeding. contractions got stronger so I went to triage and was certainly contracting every 3 to 7 mins. cervix still closed though so that is good news but at 34 weeks today its all rather scary. so I had a lovely shot of steroids in my bum some very strong pain meds and im on monitoring now and will have more steroids to help baby just in case. feeling pretty guilty as my spd was so bad I was moaning an awful lot now bean has given me a fright! so praying she stays where she is and I have a couple of days in hospital. my dd is only 4 and is a bit upset but I obviously have made out this is a routine thing that happens to everyone carrying a baby Hmm

anyway im up on the monitor now so just reading through x

psynl · 02/04/2014 04:55

Bornin - we're no longer c-section date buddies!

It all seems very real now - my cousin, who was due mid May, had her baby yesterday!

Bornin1984 · 02/04/2014 07:07

Good luck jelly !!

Minions · 02/04/2014 07:18

Hope you and baby are ok jelly, sounds scary. Hope too your DD is ok with mum in hospital. Best place to be and glad your cervix is closed & you're being treated.

Wow bornin, really not long for you now!

Bornin1984 · 02/04/2014 07:20

I think it's back to day unit for me, still had no movements :-(

Minions · 02/04/2014 07:22

Oh, and thanks for the link curls! Very useful, hadn't really understood how it's worked out. Looks like my work tops up SMP, so I was thinking the weeks I only get SMP and no extra from work were the only weeks SMP was being paid. That prob makes no sense but I've got it worked out now!

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 07:31

good luck bornin its so scary when they go quiet. hope everything is ok xxx

mamapants · 02/04/2014 07:31

I'm off to day unit today as well.
Had MW appt yesterday and bp has gone up and protein in urine has increased. Swelling is very minimal.
But have to get checked out. Told DP and he's worrying as this is what happened with DS had midwife appt on tuesday, followed by increased monitoring and had DS on sat after being induced.
Am not quite 36 weeks this time so its earlier. Hopefully will all be fine anyway.
Been up last two nights with DS, he's sick so DP is going to take him to doctors today and I'll go to hospital.

mamapants · 02/04/2014 07:33

Good luck bornin your baby is probably just having a nap before arrival

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 07:45

goodness mamapants. my dd was poorly yesterday I had to take her to childrens hospital ignoring my contractions to get her sorted then dh collected her amd then come here and get me sorted! it makes everything more worrying when your dc is poorly too doesnt it! hope he feels better soon and hope you are ok.

my contractions stopped around 4am aparently the codeine can kill them off...so that is good news. hope they stay away now until fully cooked.

Bornin1984 · 02/04/2014 07:47

Mama he napped yesterday :-(

ClearlyMoo · 02/04/2014 08:17

Hello! Did you all miss me? I've just had to read more than 24hrs worth to catch up. Please forgive if I don't do enough name checks!!

BornIn hope baby is ok. It's so worrying! On Monday mine moved very very little but enough for me to stay calm. Yesterday a dance party was had in my womb. ALL day! Anyone else's baby do this, sleeps for ages then the opposite?

Jelly thinking of you.

Isean glad you're home, rest up.

Moomin Maddy you have A DATE!

Curls et al thanks for tax info. My rather laissez faire attitude is that I'll get what is owed to me eventually!

I'm starting to gradually inflate. Had problems with rings on fingers yesterday. Wore boots all day and when I took them off my ankles were boot & sock shaped. No MW appt this week, next one is on Tues.

Last day in office yesterday! Eeeek just two days to go. Today & tomorrow working from home! Had a lovely send off with lovely thoughtful presents for the baby and lots of hugs!! Then pub meal out!

Tired today though and so much to do!!

Thinking of everyone having a hard time! Have better days

Gosh... it's been a bit of a hectic 24hrs...

Blue so sorry to hear your mum is still in intensive care, but wonderful that she has something to hold on for in your little bean, hope she keeps strong Thanks

bornin hope all is ok on the ctg - let us know when you've been seen - lets hope little one holds on until your elcs date (which is crazily close!)

nesting how horribly scary for you - are you in hospital now then until arrival? hope you manage to stay sane in there - , but at least in the best of places for monitoring and quick action if anything happens. Best of luck

jelly scary for you too... hope all is ok on the monitor and glad you're getting the steroids in case little one has to arrive early... let us know what happens

mamapants good luck at the day unit today and let us know that all is ok, hope your ds gets better soon too - you don't want to be worrying about him as well...

isean so happy you're home and being looked after, good luck making your decision, seems that the ecv would be worth a go, at least then you know you'd tried what you could to have the vaginal birth you want... but only a decision you can make - good luck and know you're supported either way!

moomin - no.1 hope all is ok with the bp today...

wm and dobe co-operative babies - yeah!! bushbaby also head down and headbutting cervix - electric shocks made even worse with the bl**dy roads here - pregnancy and potholes don't mix!!!

impatiently glad your health visitor was so lovely! I'm all booked to fly home next tuesday (8th April) so DH will be following a month later... getting excited about heading across now!! Saw Dr here for last time this morning and he's happy that I'm 'fit to fly' so thats great

I'm feeling very spoilt as some lovely friends threw me a suprise little baby shower/afternoon tea yesterday and we got some gorgeous little outfits and toys ect which was fabulous!! So kind and unexpected... one very happy bush today!

Here's hoping for an uneventful day for everyone, but will be checking in later for everyones news

Thanks to everyone just because.....

bushprincess · 02/04/2014 08:26

and yeah to last day at work clearly!!! enjoy the mat leave and hope the swelling goes down!! xx

NestingNesting123 · 02/04/2014 08:26

Ooh there are nice blankets on Mamas and Papas website. Is cellular the same as knitted then? I thought they were different things but if not that opens up a whole new world of loveliness!

Bornin I hope you get more movements today. They do have quiet days but it's worrying and better to be checked out.

Jelly I hope things settle for you too. It is very overwhelming to find yourself in hospital thinking the baby could arrive now.

NestingNesting123 · 02/04/2014 08:29

Sorry bushprincess I type too slow! I'm at home until I hit 34 weeks then they want me to go back in. So glad I live near the hospital or I'd have had to stay. How lovely of your friends to throw a baby shower.
