Bush- glad your on your homeward stretch now ;-)

chattychattyboomba · 02/04/2014 08:39

Awww jealous of everyone going on maternity leave! I had 5 weeks last time before bub arrived and I have never had so much time to myself before! Hope everyone has some lovely things planned Envy
Just checking in to say....
Has anyone had the whooping cough vaccine?
Called to book an appointment with my GP clinic as advised by MW. Was told I couldn't get an appointment with a nurse for a month!!!
Just wondering if you have had it, who did it for you?
I could wait a month (am 32 weeks) but was so annoyed- mostly at the indifferent attitude of the receptionist I told her to forget it and hung up. Oops... Pregnancy rage!

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 02/04/2014 08:46

Good luck bornin, hope he starts partying soon (and if not, hope the day unit puts your mind at ease!)

So much has happened and my head's too fuzzy to go through and namecheck everyone but Jelly, hope you're feeling better today. Nesting Take it easy! Glad to hear you had a good baby shower bush

Uni feels like too much effort today... my head is still pounding and my heart keeps skipping beats again. So fed up of this! Still, hoping neurology will discharge me for good today, that's one less specialist to see.

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 02/04/2014 08:49

I had mine at 33 weeks by one of the practice nurses at my GP surgery chatty

loopylou52 · 02/04/2014 09:14

Thinking of you bornin, mama, jelly and nesting. Thanks

chatty - my vaccine was with a nurse at the gp surgery, but it seemed like it had to be one specific nurse (no idea why!), which may explain it being difficult to get an appointment.

Enjoy finishing for maternity leave clearly - it's brilliant!

My jobs for today - go to town to buy stuff for hospital bag (really starting to get nervous I haven't done this yet!) and then go to dentist (which I hate, but I'm going to use it as an opportunity to practice my relaxation for birth!).

Bornin1984 · 02/04/2014 09:26

Desperate to lick the bowl!!!

psynl · 02/04/2014 10:10

Hope the cake gets the baby moving Bornin. Good luck at your appointment Moomin.

Seen pics of my cousin's baby. He was born at 33 weeks weighing 4lb 6oz. He's doing ok at the minute. It has made me want mine now!

mamapants · 02/04/2014 11:59

Hoping you've had some wiggles now Bornin
Was just about to leave for day unit and realised DS was playing with my car keys in DPs car yesterday and so I can't leave. Luckily they are on their way back and hopefully I won't be late!
Just started watching OBEM while I was waiting and have already been crying and only half way through the episode!!

Chip86 · 02/04/2014 12:23

NannyPlumForPM · 02/04/2014 13:43

Hi-de-hi campers Grin am ashamed that I haven't posted in so long that it has deleted the thread from my 'I'm on' list Shock

Sorry not to name check all again but I think bornin sounds as if she's the next thread baby? Your flight timetable sounds about right bushprincess - hope that baby stays put/ long (painless) labour!! clearly, moomin, isean you all sound as if you are having rough times! Flowers for you all.

Still got a wiggly baby here which is lovely and reassuring what with psynl and bornin mad dash to day units recently! Only 2weeks 4 days left sqeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Everything still going smoothly (ish) here- having trouble booking Appts because now that I've got my induction date the consultant doesn't really need to see me (growth looking fine, normal abdo measurements and 50th centile) baby was 2.6kg at last scan give or take - so 5.5lbs which is nice! Unfortunately community midwife is full until the 16th April which is somewhat useless and gp is full until the 10th.... So looks like no appt for me!

Am fed up with gd now - want a big bar of chocolate!! ( mrsfoo are you ok - haven't heard/read much from you recently?? Hope you are relaxing somewhere nice. :) )up to 7 Units of insulin so could do with not going up any more! On the plus side weight gain is only 1st 5lbs which is ok!

Sorry to anyone iv missed and welcome welcome any newbies!!

dobedobedo · 02/04/2014 13:46

Hey, how are we all? bornin I hope your baby has had a wiggle on!

I went to ds's school to wave goodbye to him - he's off now on a residential for 3 days. It feels weird. I can't even contact him while he's away! He let me kiss and hug him even though his classmates were there, and then he ran off onto the bus without even turning around to say bye!
I'm glad he's going to have fun, and I'm glad he's a confident little guy who can have fun for a few days without needing me, but it's still sad! He's my PFB!!

Thankfully I didn't get all hormonal and cry and make a tit of myself in the school. I'll save that for later when it's 9pm and I have no one to tuck into bed!

McBaby · 02/04/2014 14:03

36 week appointment all good :) baby is 3/5 engaged and cleared for birth centre.

I am fed up of seeing a different midwife every time and going through my history with each one and getting a different opinion of everything. I was supposed to be having a gbs test today as agreed with previous midwife (as I tested positive in last pregnancy) the midwife today refused to do it and told me I had to have it down privately and they would go with the results from that.

I hope everyone else is doing ok with all these trips to the day units and stays in hospital.

Nesting has also kicked in big time even though hoovering and cleaning sets off my SPD I can't resist doing it!!

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 15:56

mcbaby that is not true! if you have tested positive before you can be tested on the nhs now...ask your gp to do it?

thanks for all the well wishes everybody. my contactions and bleeding have stopped :) though I have a sore bottom from the mahoosive needle they use lol. hopefully home tomorrow if things stay quiet. I miss my daughter! she is on her way for a visit and cuddles she will be so thrilled if I can get home tomorrow :) hope everyone else is ok x

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 02/04/2014 15:57

Blood pressure is 143/84... grr why is it rising? (Although it's better than 140/100 yesterday).

Had my headshots back, they don't actually look that bad Shock

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 15:57

cant seem to spell *contractions!!!

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 15:58

that blood pressure is still within normal limits I think moomin? or the lower level of raised...hope everything is ok sounds like you are having a worrying time indeed!

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 02/04/2014 16:18

They said generally it's the lower level of raised, they were a little concerned about it yesterday but not too concerned today, but it's more that it's high for me, compared to my usual. Plus my mum had pre-eclampsia and had to be induced early with my brother, who later died, so I have a tendency to panic about higher blood pressure :(

Jellymum1 · 02/04/2014 17:24

oh gosh big hugs! I can understand totally why you would feel worried! but its certainly better now than 140/100 good luck I hope it stays nice and stable for you

MrsFooCough · 02/04/2014 17:35

Hello all
Sorry for absence, I've felt a bit fraudulent doing my usual whinge about hips/diet/GD when people are starting to get serious things going on! Also been ridiculously preoccupied with planning my diet to accommodate the GD, it's very hard work as nobody else in the house likes any of the things that seem to be so good for me. I'm so fed up, I just wNt a giant bowl of macaroni cheese and an Eccles cake! Sigh.

NannyPlumForPM · 02/04/2014 17:57

I want a Bacon and cheese pasta bake (and the way I make it - it only serves two Wink with cheesy garlic bread and profiteroles.... And maybe a bowl of popcorn at 9pm

In fact I want to wake up and have a bowl of fucking cornflakes without having to look at the egg box.

And for lunch? I want crisps and a chocolate bar. And mini eggs. Not scrambled eggs. Not chicken. Or maybe a baked fucking potato with beans? Oh no no no

Angry grrrrrrr

NannyPlumForPM · 02/04/2014 18:00

Sorry that was extremely selfish when u all have so much other horrible hints happening. moomin I am sorry about your dbro :( It's good they seem to be keeping on top of checking you etc so you are well monitored!

isean hope you're managing ok at home?? jelly good that the contractions have settled down so imminent danger is avoided!!
