Baby is healthy, a little chunky but only a week bigger, and has tufty hair!!! Its made me SO excited to meet baby now :)

Consultant tomorrow, I need more help. Had cocodamol an hour ago and its already worn off.

OBEM time!!

Choppa · 31/03/2014 21:22

Clearly and impatiently...you've got me wondering about the tena lights now...might have to invest in some:)

Curls....I was wondering about the tax situation too. I think we likely won't get it back and rebate due until the end of the tax year (next April) because of the timing.

Dobe...yes, I'm with you on the losing the plot due to hormones. Posted earlier about it but went mental at the weekend when DS walked mud through the house. Felt awful afterwards. Hope the finger is ok...

Bump going mental this past couple of days. I'm hoping he is swimming round and out of breech position.

2 weeks left at work...ug

McBaby · 31/03/2014 21:29

Tax - last time my work have me a tax rebate over the first few months so I got it all back within a few months of stat may pay. Rather than getting a big rebate the following year.

Thanks for all the blanket info. For some reason I've really struggled about what I'll need to keep baby warm but think I'm getting there now.

Dobe that sounds so painful, I'm bit surprised that you screamed the house down.

I've definitely had my moments too. Threw myself on the floor crying the other day as my feet were hurting so much from being on them all day. DH was fairly sympathetic but I definitely saw a smirk whilst he was trying to tempt me off the floor by promising I didn't need to stand up for anything else that day.

mrsmummytobe · 31/03/2014 22:11

Welcome moomin35. Can't believe we have 3 moomins on the thread! I'm curious why so many chose it as a username?!

Sling-wise, we got the kaboo. You can bf wearing it & it looks really easy to use & comfy.

Hope you feel better soon chip. Hope everything's still ok isean & hugs for dobe. Hope everyone else is ok & Thanks for anyone I haven't mentioned but is feeling down.

I've only got 4 1/2 more days left at work!! Woohoo can't wait!

Bezzabelle · 31/03/2014 22:42

Anyone else a sobbing wreck after watching OBEM??

chattychattyboomba · 31/03/2014 23:05

Oooh bezza! Baby Conan.... Oh im a mess!
Mean while that water birth with the 18 y/o.... What the? One minute she's eating toast, next minute baby! Lucky cow. Lol

Squiffie · 31/03/2014 23:10

Both the younger girls had pretty speedy labours for first time babies but the waterbirth one made it look a breeze! Envy

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 31/03/2014 23:26

I've been known as Maddy Moomin by my family since I was born (my parents call me Moomin more than they call me Maddy Hmm ) so it just ends up being my name everywhere on the internet Grin

Vikks · 01/04/2014 00:45

Blubbed like a baby at One Born! Blush those younger girls made it look so easy....v jealous.

I had my hospital tour today and it's made me want to go overdue!!! Their new labour ward with three massive pools and all new state of art equipment, opens 3 days after my due date. I wonder what my chances are? Hmm DS was 42 weeks but I was hoping for a bit quicker this time.
DP can see our photos in the paper as the first couple to.christen the ward. Grin

beckiebee04 · 01/04/2014 00:49

I'm Becky due 29th may.....ahhhhhhh lol

Vikks · 01/04/2014 00:49

Oh and starting hypnobirthing tomorrow. We have 5 classes over 5 weeks. £130 which I thought wasn't too bad. Hope it's worth it.

Waves and hugs to all. Sweet dreams.x.x

Vikks · 01/04/2014 00:50

Hi Becky, welcome xSmile

dobedobedo · 01/04/2014 06:51

Welcome beckie!

I didn't catch OBEM but I've recorded it. It always makes me cry, sometimes I watch it before dh or ds get a chance so I don't cry like a loon in front of them and so they don't make fun of me

Baby has been doing my head in. Movements are a lot quieter and less intense than they normally have been and because I feel so crappy and under the weather, it's been making me worry. This morning I had a good feel of bump and he's definitely transverse again. The little sod! Any wonder my hips have been as painful as ever yesterday!
I hope he has room to turn back, I was quite enjoying him being engaged. I know the electric shock cervix is a bit of a mare, but being able to breathe, less heartburn and being able to walk without crutches was nice.
I'm 35 weeks this week, so I think they don't worry about his position until 36 weeks? Midwife today anyway.
Also we have our first antenatal class tonight! Dh is beside himself with excitement!

Bornin1984 · 01/04/2014 07:24

Holy shit balls!!!

We're having babies this month!!!! Pssst that's not an April fool either ;-)

dobedobedo · 01/04/2014 07:35

Holy crap bornin! You're right! Shock

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 01/04/2014 09:10

What!!! Noooooooo. I'm not ready....

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 01/04/2014 09:21

Dobed, my baby was breech at 31 weeks, they gave me a positioning scan to be sure and booked another for 36. They aren't concerned till after then and transverse babies are a lot more likely to turn at the last minute (even during labour!) than breech so unless he turns breech I don't think they'll be too concerned just yet.

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 01/04/2014 09:26

Eggs and beans are you self employed? Even of you're not take a look at maternity pay on the gov website. It's worth filling the forms out and sending all the info off even if it looks like you may not be entitled (the wording is so obscure people end up convinced they aren't entitled even when they are Confused)

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 01/04/2014 09:29

OBEM was heartbreaking, I cried like a baby! And dobed you're not the only one who had lost control, I feel like everything is spiriling around me :( and I just can't grasp on to anything to make it stop. Just a few more months and I'll be back to 'normal' really looking forward to that Grin

bushprincess · 01/04/2014 09:41

Hi Everyone!
Welcome beckie!!

bornin don't scare me!!! But you're right - the thread will have it's fair share of new arrivals before the end of the month!!!

Am hoping the bushbaby isn't one of them though - DH just booking his flights to the UK - he gets 4 weeks paternity so we've been trying to work out the probability of going into labour in any one week...

we've ended up deciding to book 8th May - 5th June (edd 15th May on dates, 12th on scan) as (hopefully) probability is high I'll be late... but even if really really late I'll be induced by the 26th May latest so at least DH will get one week with the little one before he heads back to work!

I was worried that if he booked any earlier he'd spend his whole month leave hanging out with an ever-increasingly grumpy me while we wait!!

Worse case scenario - I go into labour early and he has to jump on the next flight and I cross my legs!!!! he should be able to get back within 24hrs... I'd be the only women ever to HOPE for a long labour Grin!

good luck at your consultant appointment moomin (umm... thats the first moomin!! Hi to the other moomins too!!!)

Any news isean?

general love to everyone else - hope you all have a great day

Hezbean · 01/04/2014 09:53

Totally with you on the hormones, ladies! I've Been on a fairly even keel the last couple of weeks but yesterday after a crap nights sleep, losing an hour with the clocks etc I really felt a bit mental. Unfortunately it all got directed at builders who are renovating the flat above us and were stomping about and bellowing at each other at 8am yesterday morning - all the floors are bare and noise travels like you wouldn't believe. They've been there for 2 months now and yesterday was the final straw after us also finding some massive cracks in our celings over the weekend. Two of the builders were on the receiving end of a massive hormonal rant yesterday morning and they looked pretty scared! I then cried all the way to work, oh dear!! The neighbours whose flat it is are dear friends of ours and they came round with chocs to say sorry last night bless them.

22 more days at work - I finish 2nd may. We still haven't found maternity cover and that's stressing me out a bit!

Dobe - Our baby is still stubbornly transverse and has been since about 26 weeks! Hope they turn soon...

Hugs to all those who need them. Isean glad they are keeping a good eye on you, moomin glad the scan went ok but so sorry you're in such pain. Hello to everyone else but my brain won't remember all the people I meant to name check!

We will have some thread babies this month I can't believe it! These last weeks are flying - which is good as they're hard aren't they?!!

Vikks good luck with the hypnobirthing course. We really enjoyed ours.

loopylou52 · 01/04/2014 09:59

Morning all, hope everyone is doing ok.

Those dates sound sensible bush - must be so hard to plan! Will you have plenty to keep you occupied while you're over here so you're not just waiting and panicking about when baby will or won't arrive?

Had mw appointment this morning - bump is (surprisingly!) measuring small - 31 instead of 34, and was measured at 31 at my last appointment 3 weeks ago. Hmm Being sent for a scan on Thursday. Choosing not to worry about it as I know bump measurement isn't very accurate and it's just a precaution. I'm just going to think of it as an extra opportunity to see baby again and for everything to be checked (she says, in her very best positive voice!).
