Wow! That's awesome Isean! How exciting!!!

impatientlywaiting · 09/04/2014 12:01

Ahhhh Isean you will have your baby by this weekend!!

Starting to feel very real now we are getting closer to the influx of babies.

loopylou52 · 09/04/2014 12:29

Eek isean, exciting! Are you feeling prepared (as far as that is ever possible)?

Sending good labour vibes to moomin.

Happy birthday psynl!

ClearlyMoo · 09/04/2014 12:43

Hello. Apols again for being silent. Think I've mainly caught up with thread...

Moomin sending you positive thoughts! Isean! Eeeek baby this week!

So I went to see MW yesterday at 35+3 (36 week appt) baby is 1/5 palpable ie 4/5 engaged!!!! Also measuring 2 weeks ahead (37cm)!

When talking about next appt MW said "I'll book you in for 2 weeks time but I'll be surprised if you make it!" She told me she hopes I get to 37 weeks so I can have baby in birth centre! She seemed convinced it's going to come early!!

I'm all of a tizz! I only stopped work last week and have so much stuff to sort (ummmm a whole nursery to decorate) before baby comes! I assumed it would be two weeks late but could arrive around it's due date!!

Now today I have really bad lower back pain (like periody pain). Ummmmmm should I be worrying? Is this it?! Or is this normal for being almost 36 weeks?! So glad I stopped work!!

Think I'll go and repack my hospital bag!!!

Happy birthday, psynl!!

Ooh, sounds like we'll be inundated with lovely babies soon. Hopefully not too long now for Moomin, and then Isean on Friday! Unless anyone else decides to queue jump. Wink

Very much a slow poke here; Only 32+5. Even if DD2 arrives early like DD1, I still have another 5 weeks or so to go. If she goes overdue, more like 10 weeks... Confused I may have exploded by then.

My labour last time around started with what felt like constipation aches and pain that came in waves, ClearlyMoo. If your back pain is constant or tied in with you moving, it's probably muscular rather than contractions.

Otherwise, or if you're worried, take some paracetamol and have a warm bath - or at least lie down and rest for a bit. If it's not contractions, that should ease the pain in half an hour or so. If it doesn't, or it gets worse, then it's probably best to call the hospital just to be on the safe side!

Thanks, Hezbean and kally. :) It's nice to hear I'm useful - I spend most of my time at the moment feeling like a bit of a burden on poor DH and not a very good DM for DD1!

kally195 · 09/04/2014 14:15

ooh clearly - how are you doing?? Have the back pains eased off?

Don't worry too much about the nursery - have you got any friends you can bribe with beer and pizza to help out? I am definitely finding that the internet is my friend with sorting the last bits out. Just got our car seat base with a great offer from Boots - £25 off when you spend £100 on car seats/prams.

It sounds like we are reasonable similar in terms of pregnancy. My midwife told me I was 4/5ths engaged at my 33+4 appointment - I think she meant 4/5ths palpable though. I have my next check at 35+4 - wonder how much more she will have engaged! Everyone is convinced I won't go to term (everyone apart from me and DH!)

pickletalk14 · 09/04/2014 15:29

Oooo... very exciting.

I was always convinced littlepickle would be late but since the gigantababy measurements I am thinking early. I have 4 weeks left at work yet and def not ready. Well we have most things but they're in a massive pile in the corner of the spare room!

sambababy · 09/04/2014 16:00

Wooo go moomin! I feel like a cheerleader Grin

And isean 2 days Shock I'm not sure how much more of this excitement I can take. I was even thinking about it in the middle of the night.

Happy birthday psynl! Go crazy and have a (non-alcoholic) glass of fizz Wine

bush say hello to the UK for me!

I tried perineal massage last night and it hurt. Now I'm properly scared of giving birth! I'm doing the hypnotherapy cd every few days but after the 5th time of listening, I'm finding it hard to pay attention Sad

dobedobedo · 09/04/2014 16:20

Wow isean! Bet you fell off your chair when you got that call!

With all these babies coming, it's so exciting! This one is showing no signs yet. He better not be as late as his big brother!

mrsmummytobe · 09/04/2014 16:21

Happy birthday psynl!

isean that is so exciting!!! Wow all these babies being born is amazing! It's feeling very real all of a sudden!

samba I found the perineal massage hurt too. We got told how to do it at nct, I'm not confident I'm doing it right though!

moobaloo · 09/04/2014 17:04

Came on first thing after work to hear about Moomins baby and she's not had it yet!

However v cool re hair feeling! Good luck to you!

And amazing news isean! Friday wow then born in and psynl Monday ahh!

Happy birthday Psynl xxx

Minions · 09/04/2014 18:10

Oooo, exciting isean, two babies by end of the week and another two early next - all the best to all if you! Hope you're ok too moomin and managing to get some rest to keep you going.

Welcome home bush, glad big flight went well & how nice to get freebies :)

I'm 37 weeks and midwife said baby is head down but not yet engaged. Looks like I'll not be having baby early, so settling into mat leave lifestyle Grin

bushprincess · 09/04/2014 19:26

Hi Guys, I'm Home!!!!! Got back a few hours ago and have been out for a walk with the dogs on the cliffs in glorious cornish sunshine, I love home!! (samba have given the uk a good wave for you!!)

Kally where in Kenya did you live? Before we moved to Harare I was in Nairobi for 2yrs and way out west (Busia!!) for a year... loved my time in Kenya so can well imagine you miss it.... Definately think pregnancy makes you wish for home!

isean Whoooo - baby in 2 days!! thats amazing!!! everythings getting so exciting now!

Happy Birthday psynl !!! Cake

Excited for moomin hope everything moves quickly now!!

loopylou52 · 09/04/2014 19:30

Welcome home bush, glad the sun came out to welcome you back!

JessicaRRRabbit · 09/04/2014 20:00

Hi everyone, I've not posted since Nov/Dec time but have been lurking. Work has been crazy and was leading to horrible BH and PGP so have started maternity leave a couple of weeks earlier than planned. Still got a few weeks to go (hopefully - I hit the drop zone on Saturday!) so looking forward to nesting and having lots of quality time with DS Smile

So exciting to see squishy newborns on the horizon now! F (and everything else) X for Moomin

Welcome home bush and thanks for the fb add x

36+4 today

Choppa · 09/04/2014 20:45

Woo hoo...the babies are arriving! Good luck Moomin, Isean and Bornin. A few more days and we'll have 3 more babies...wow.

I have another scan tomorrow to see if baby has moved round from breech to head down. If not could be in for a c section in 3 weeks or so...3 weeks eeeeekkkk! I need to get organised!

Still 4 more working days to go...who's counting? then off for Easter hols with DS...not much time for rest I don't think.

Close friend has just had a MMC which is so sad and tricky. Feel quite emo about it and pretty awkward. I have had a MC myself before so hopefully I can offer some empathy. So sad.

Anyhow...I'm off to bed as MW appt early tomorrow and I'm knackered xxx

Chops 35+3

ClearlyMoo · 09/04/2014 20:50

Hi all

Thanks all for your concern and advice! Took paracetemol, went to see a friend with newborn and back pains stopped. Definitely wasn't muscular as was not movement related!

Still "uncomfortable" with pains and twinges down there. So we shall see!

I managed a 45min aqua yoga class tonight. So as long as I don't have a show or anything think I'll be swimming tomorrow (and thereafter til something changes)!

Hope Moomin is doing ok.

Welcome home Bush!

Happy birthday psynl!

Ooo Isean how exciting! Soon be over and you'll be snuggling your wee one.

Consultant and scan in the morning for me. Feeling really nervous about finding out the date for my induction - rather irrational! I think it's because I will have to tell a few people the date as I'll need childcare but I'd really rather no one knew... Sorry... Rambling...

SarahJinx · 09/04/2014 21:59

I totally get that xavielli its all systems go then eh, and people counting you down, when you probably want to just get it done?

Hope it goes well for you.

Happy Birthday Pysnl!

three more babies by the end of the week!? Seems like two minutes ago we were all having emergency scans at the epu!! Its bloody flown! My last day at work tomorrow, I can't believe it!

Got treated to fine dines lunch by my boss and colleagues today, some utterly glorious flowers and have my team spoiling me tomorrow, happy days!

keep wondering about Moomin its been a long old slog so far bless her.

SarahJinx · 09/04/2014 22:01

Argh, also...welcome home bush hope it all goes to plan for you now!!

and, hope you're feeling better clearly I'm full if the sane kind of pains tonight, perhaps we all need to start taking a bit easier xx

dobedobedo · 09/04/2014 22:12

Clearly hope baby stays put until you're ready!

Welcome back to the UK Bush!

Quick question. I always get breathless if I lie on my back, but last night I couldn't lie on my right side as I got breathless then too! Does anyone else get this or is it all in my head? Hmm

Bornin1984 · 09/04/2014 22:25

Night one in hospital.....

5 days until mini me!

Bezzabelle · 09/04/2014 22:37

Oh my goodness, can't believe there will be at least four babies by Monday. I have 6 weeks to go before my elcs is booked by which point a lot of you will be settled into some kind of routine with a newborn!! Part of me would like baby to be here sooner but then the other part of me has a lot I want to do before he gets here. Also got a weekend away end of this month to Cornwall in a caravan so don't want him to come before then as will be nice to have one last holiday with just ds before his life changes forever!!

Hope all going well with moomin.

bushprincess · 09/04/2014 22:51

Odd experience.... just jumped into bed (which my lovely mum had made up for me).... funny rustling noise, checked and..... there's a waterproof sheet on here!!!! V.practical and had been on to do list once in the elm'elmdrop zone' but still, a waterproof sheet installed by mother, I'm 3yrs old again Shock Blush

bushprincess · 09/04/2014 22:53
