I have to admit I'm pretty envious of all you ladies getting to meet your babies so soon! Seems like these last 5 weeks are taking forever.

Glad to hear it's not just me who is feeling exhausted these days, I can't seem to get a full nights sleep which is making going to work all that much harder. 2weeks on Thursday and counting til annual leave starts then onto mat leave from there. Yay!

Hope everyone is doing well smile

mummytobe88 · 08/04/2014 19:55

Whoops that should have been Smile

rebeccax2 · 08/04/2014 21:07

Oh my god... I TURN MY BACK FOR 5 MINS!!!

Wow. So moomin is being induced? Holy Moly!

And also we have isean with C-section date - Monday? And Bornin is going in tomorrow? Wow!

THE BABIES ARE COMING! :-)

Bornin1984 · 08/04/2014 21:23

I'm going in tomorrow but not having baby until Monday x

rebeccax2 · 08/04/2014 21:37

Oh well good luck all the same bornin. It's so exciting!

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 08/04/2014 21:53

Lots of bouncing and heavy breathing here! Recreating the conception Blush having tightenings, lots and lots of backache, my foof feels so goddamn painful and I have so much pressure in my pelvis I can barely pee. Got a sinking feeling im in for the long haul despite all this Hmm come on Dylan/Callie, get a move on!!

Bornin1984 · 08/04/2014 21:57

Have they done a vaginal examinations to see if you have dilated moomin? Get on that bouncy ball!

loopylou52 · 08/04/2014 22:01

bornin - sorry you have to go into hospital so long before your section but at least you're on the home straight now.

isean - sorry you didn't get to have the ECV as you wanted, but good that they're being cautious given the risks. And good to know the end is in sight!

Have a good flight bush!

Keep up the good work moomin!!

moobaloo · 08/04/2014 22:07

Get a move on baby Moomin!! I'll have to check this thread on my 4am loo trip or I'll never get back to sleep!

Keep going Moomin, you're doing great!

dobedobedo · 08/04/2014 22:37

Keep us updated moomin!

isean and bornin I can't believe you'll also have your babies within a week! I'm a little jealous and also so excited for you both!

Dh and I went to another antenatal class tonight. This one was all about birth interventions and pain relief in labour. It was a bit of a scary one! There was this weird couple at our table who kept turning their backs on everyone when you were supposed to discuss things and he kept kissing her bump and burying his face in it and in her chest. It was really awkward. Bloody weirdos. Hmm

I managed to tidy and rearrange our bedroom. It looks lovely now, and dh was so surprised when he came home. I am knackered though. Tomorrow is going to be a laundry day and also ds and I are going to sort out and rearrange his bedroom. There's loads of toys he could sell on eBay or donate or bin.

I don't know if all this stuff qualifies as nesting, but it needs to be done before Jesse gets here - there'll be no time for spring cleaning projects like this with a baby!

I'll quit waffling now Blush

I wonder if moomin will have had her baby by the time I wake up in the morning! Grin

Kally my iron was down to
93 at 28 weeks bloods. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to go to the midwife led unit. They were checked 3 weeks later, of tablets loads of vit C and iron rich foods, and they had gone up to 108 so I was able to be signed off for MLU. I was so pleased as I'd read it sometimes takes a while for then to rise.

Hezbean · 08/04/2014 23:45

Kally - I haven't had any problems with my iron luckily, they said it had to be over 10.5, mine was at 11.0 at 28 wk bloods, they took a blood test today and said if it had gone down they'd just put me on iron tabs and not to worry. I've been eating loads of iron rich food over the last few weeks and taking my pregnacare and spatone. I was more worried about not being able to get to the birth centre because baby was transverse but it was head down at today's appt. fingers crossed your iron levels will go up After the iron tablets!!

So exciting all these imminent arrivals! Isean glad you've got your date booked too!

Bush - safe flight!!

Excited to hear how moomin gets on overnight!

Hugs to all xxxx

kally195 · 09/04/2014 01:11

Thanks hez and impatient. I've been taking the iron tabs (420mg per day) for five weeks now and have also been trying to do the vitamin c/iron rich food thing too. Here's hoping! I certainly feel better than before I was taking them - breathlessness has gone and I have noticeably more energy. Much more colour too!

First shift back was OK. Everyone reckons I am going to have her early - apparently the fact I am all bump, all out front and the bump has dropped is enough for everyone to declare I won't go to term. It did feel like she was trying to punch through my cervix earlier... Real stabby pains!

Hope all is OK moomin - I'll be checking for updates each time I wake up!

NannyPlumForPM · 09/04/2014 08:37

Nothing yet???

dobedobedo · 09/04/2014 08:49

Today is the 9th April. I'm due on 9th May! Shock

Midwife at antenatal class yesterday said that first time mums get offered a sweep at 40 weeks, but second time mums get offered one at 41 weeks. Does anyone know why this is? I'm not seeing my midwife again until 39 weeks and if baby hasn't arrived by then, I'm going to beg, bribe and plead with her to do a sweep! I'm sick of this pgp!

Chip86 · 09/04/2014 09:10

Dobe we are date twins Grin

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 09/04/2014 10:16

impatientlywaiting · 09/04/2014 10:20

Hope you are managing okay Moomin.

Happy Birthday Psynl hope you have a lovely day.

And hurrah for the last leg of your monster trip Bush. Not long to go now.

kally195 · 09/04/2014 10:20

bush you are nearly back! Hope the rest of your flight is OK xx I think pregnancy hormones are to blame for making me feel a bit homesick for Kenya at the mo...

done been looking online and it appears that 41 week sweep is the official NICE guidance on inductions. Suggestions are that as it is more likely for you to go into labour naturally and earlier with your second, they delay intervention till week 41.

kally195 · 09/04/2014 10:20

Sorry dobe - stupid autocorrect changed your name!

MasterFlea · 09/04/2014 11:05

Happy birthday Psynl Cake

Thinking of you Moomin.

Isean · 09/04/2014 11:40

Thinking of you Moomin

So...the obstetrician has just phoned & moved the section to Friday! Eeks!
They are concerned the diary is chockablock next week & if emergencies come in I could be pushed back & they don't want to risk me having to wait longer!
So I will have my baby in 2 days! Eeks! 2 days!!!
