Eek, good luck moomin!!

kally195 · 07/04/2014 12:16

Good luck moomin! I'll be thinking of you xx

I'm also enjoying the whole pinch to the groin whilst being kicked in the first ribs. She isn't shifted from head down for two weeks now. Just hoping she stays put and doesn't do any acrobatics!

Thanks for all the advice/thoughts on sizes. O think we will (nearer the time) get a couple of packs of different sized vests/sleepsuits, then if anything is too small it can go back. DH will then go shopping once she has arrived to get more. Spoke to my mum this morning, and apparently we are having quite a bit of stuff bought for us by all her friends. How lovely!

MoominIsEightNinthsManatee · 07/04/2014 12:18

Thanks everyone! I'm excited and scared!!

dobedobedo · 07/04/2014 12:19

Holy shitballs moomin!!! That's great news! Grin Grin Grin I'm so jealous you're getting to meet your baby this week! Mental! Wishing you all the luck ever! X

AliOh · 07/04/2014 12:23

Hi ladies! How is everyone feeling? Scanned quickly through the last few pages (havent been keeping up - i shall slap myself on the wrist) and read that your being induced tomorrow Moomin - good luck!

I've been out for the last couple of weeks, strained my back and totally couldnt walk, couldnt sleep, couldnt sit - it has been awful! On the mend now ( after being treated to a blissful pregnancy massage by DP as he isnt here to do one himself ;) ) and I can waddle :) it was my weekly shop round Lidl that did it so wont be doing that again in a hurry. Have enlisted the help of my dear mother who is currently doing my shopping, hoovering, sweeping, mopping and generally running round after me - she tells me it will be good practice for when baby arrives as she will be coming round to clean and cook a meal every couple of days in the early weeks once DP has to go back to work.

Only another 7 working days left! And just over four weeks left - where does the time go? Im so unprepared, I hope baby doesnt arrive early :s

chattychattyboomba · 07/04/2014 12:34

AliOh, sorry to hear you put your back out! That sucks. Glad you have your mum around to take care of you and give you a break though. Very jealous Envy
Mine is thousands of miles away but luckily haven't had any major issues to put me out of action!

Moomin will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear your baby news and how it all goes. Thanks

Vikks · 07/04/2014 12:34

Good luck for tomorrow Moomin!!! You'll be having those wonderful newborn snuggles before you know it. Grin

wm3010 · 07/04/2014 12:51

Good luck moomin, so excited for you!

loopylou52 · 07/04/2014 12:56

Blimey moomin, how exciting! Hope you're feeling better today and are able to get some rest in preparation. Understandable to be scared too but focus on the new born snuggles and an end to what your poor body has been going through.

Hi alioh, sorry to hear about your back trouble but glad you've got plenty of help around.

If anyone is thinking of hiring a TENS machine get yourself to Toys R Us - I just bought the Elle TENS hire voucher (for 6 week hire) for £3.96. Someone told me about it and I didnt quite believe it but it's true - the hire packages are normally about £30.

impatientlywaiting · 07/04/2014 13:11

Wow Loopy that is a brilliant price for the TENS. I bought one for £26 on eBay, it was unused and as SIL is pregnant too thought I could pass it on to her, but will share that deal with NCT group as there were a few of them who were going to hire.

Xavielli · 07/04/2014 13:19

I've got a few tiny baby bits (up to 7lb) from a friend as I expect this chap will be tiddly like the others. Then 8x sleepsuits and vests + 3 outfits in newborn. Then looooooads of 0-3 that the girl who planned my shower bought. I wouldn't expect him to be out of newborn til around 6 weeks. Even ds2 who was 8lb born was in them for ages.

Moomin - ds1 was born @ 36 weeks and was completely perfect. We went home the next day, the girls were both born at 38 weeks and ds2 39 weeks. Baby will be fine and so will you :)

This baby is currently trying to punch his way out of my cervix. I keep crying out and scaring the kids :(

Xavielli · 07/04/2014 13:21

Oops! Hit post on that without realising I was a whole page behind!
Exciting moomin! You'll be grand! Xx

bushprincess · 07/04/2014 13:28

moomin WHOOOP!!! you get to meet your baby tommorrow!!! thats so exciting- second thread baby! I'm sure we won't hear much from you tomorrow but know we're all thinking of you and please let us know how everything is as soon as you feel able! good luck!!

hugs and sugar free Cake for all who need it, so sorry not to name check but will take some time to catch up properly tomorrow when I'm waiting in the airport lounge!!

MrsFooCough · 07/04/2014 14:02

moomin moomin moomin YOU'S HAVING A BABEH!!!!!
So excited for you, and as everyone's said your little MiniMoom will be perfect and healthy and fine. And I'm so jealous of you getting your newborn snuggles so soon Smile xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
bush YOU'RE COMING HEEEEEEERE it's exciting and I'm really sorry but the weather (at least in Kent) is miserable today, hopefully it'll be nicer for you when you arrive!
alioh poor you with the back Sad I'm having some back issues for the first time since we got the BFP, upper back though so probably due to me having to bend slightly because bump is so HUGE out front and makes me ache if I stand straight for too long!

Kri5ty · 07/04/2014 14:24

Been a lurker... Finally got around to posting, although I'm rubbish at keeping up to date!

34 weeks and feel the best i have all pregnancy! More energy etc.
Embarrassingly lost control of bladder the other night getting out of bed. Although, now i can move around so much easier I'm wondering if it was waters. (More for the fact i no longer have to be embarrassed lol)

Ds1 was traumatic birth, seeing cons on Friday about an elective section... Shitting myself he will say no!!

Hope you're all having good days x

LongTailedTit · 07/04/2014 15:32

Wooooohooooo Moomin! Brilliant news! Grin

Saw the consultant today, and am officially discharged! Yay - back to midwife care, nothing interesting to see here! :)
It wasn't the actual consultant, one of her team, and the chap had such a strong accent that we had a few misunderstandings, so I totally forgot to ask him about yesterday's bump pains. Never mind, all seems fine today anyway!
He said that I measured 35wks for fundal height, so all good there, and TinyTit is fully engaged, so no wonder I'm incapable of crossing my legs now - definitely waddling more!

Welcome [Kri5ty]! Brew

psynl · 07/04/2014 15:44

Wow Moomin that is so exciting! Good luck tomorrow

I posted at the beginning of this thread that I was worried about having c section alone due to DP exams. I had my last consultant appointment today and they have brought it forward a week so I will be meeting my baby next week!

bushprincess · 07/04/2014 15:53

Brilliant psynl! thats so great and must be a big relief to know that your dp will be able to be there!! how exciting that you get to meet your LO next week!!!

moomin good luck! I hope it all goes really well. We'll all be thinking of you.

I guess I'm going to have to get myself on the Facebook group to see photos won't I. What's the difference between the fb group and here, just names and pics?

chattychattyboomba · 07/04/2014 16:12

What's the Facebook group? (There's a Facebook group?!)
