Checking back in...we're away at the mo so I've lost track a bit & I can't bold on my phone Hmm

OneInAMinion due 21 Sept, team yellow currently.

EllaBella - the 16 week mw app is the only one they don't make for you. You have to do it yourself, which is tough to do if no one tells you about it!

Jemma - I'm really bunged up at night and I wake up almost feeling kind of hungover most mornings because of it & feeling dehydrated. Fancy having the hangover feeling without the fun of the booze hey?! Grin

Anyone mind if I ask quite a personal, TMI question??

I've woken up today with quite dry nipples, I'd even go as far as to say they are a little...(dare I say it)...crusty?! Please tell me this is normal...

Sorry bex I dont have a clue. Right now mine are ultra sensitive and sore Sad I had ti tell dh that it hurt the other day Blush could you put some vaseline on them Confused

Report
BexBoo12 · 28/03/2014 10:28

Mine too isit. Crusty is probably the wrong word if I'm honest, maybe cracked? Not horrendously, but just rough and not my normal looking nipples!!

I would probably try the lanosh (sp?) Nipple cream which bf mums use when they go sore

Report
HippyJess · 28/03/2014 11:28

According to the app I'm using (!) we've started producing colostrum at this stage so that's probably why nipples are going into overdrive... definitely Lansinoh!

Just had my 16 week appointment with the midwife (16 weeks today!) and got to hear baby's heartbeat Grin so lovely and super reassuring! She didn't take a urine sample or bloods though... but all my previous tests were spot on so maybe thats why? Or it could just be different here! Confused

Report
isitme1 · 28/03/2014 12:01

Hippy at every mw appointment they have to take urine and do bp to make sure your not developing pre eclampsia.
I would ring the mw and complain!
I suppose as your results have been ok it would be unlikely for anything likw that to happen but still im sure its policy

Report
HippyJess · 28/03/2014 12:04

She did do blood pressure which was as it should be... How random. Will give the receptionist a ring and check if they want me to stop by and do one...

At my first mw appointment the mw was horrible. It was a local mw who didn't want to see me as I wasnt in her area but I was in gps area (gp is in different town) I didn't mind travelling as the mw who I saw with ds1 was there and she was lovely but she had left before my first appointment. She cancelled my first appointment and I remade it as I needed mw referral for hosp. Once I got there she just made the referral and said right you can go Hmm I said you've not done urine or bp and im high risk for p.e and have kidney problems
she didn't like that she was told what to do but its tough.
Yy ring back and ask.

HippyJess · 28/03/2014 12:32

It was the same one who did by booking and luckily she's lovely, but the clinic was running very late this morning (problem after problem apparently) so I think she was a bit hassled! Will do :)

I had coffee with a friend today and she gave me a soft toy for the baby- my first gift, it was so sweet of her! She also caught a peek at my bump and said "ah look a little baby bump".

Which leads me to..is anyone feeling very self conscious. Ive been almost in tears today. I feel like my arse and thighs have spread and lost tone, my flat tum is gone and my shape has changed. Its depressing. So to help combat the wobble I took the dog out and went swimming- the panic has set in. I didn't have a problem with it during my last pg but this time...how the hell do celebs do it. Spot free, rock hard buns aaagghhh.

right squats and lunges...oh ok im too tired now but tomorrow!!
