Ella that's lovely. I can't wait until I get proper kicks too, I can feel the baby wriggling around but it's still quite faint.

Hi, I just noticed I've been added to the stats - thanks Smile

I'm going to try and stay team yellow until the baby is here, although I think it will be really hard not to take a peek especially as DP is desperate to find out too.

I've been lucky and haven't had any crazy overbearing mil incidents, quite the opposite actually, she asked what month I was due then booked a holiday for then! We were counting on her to have the children while I was in labour too...

I haven't had to buy anything for this baby yet as my youngest is only 10 months old so I have everything I need already, I just need to get a double buggy and some new clothes which will just be some neutral things until they're here and I know if it's a boy or a girl. I did have to buy a new car though as our other one was only a 4 seater and we'll soon be a family of 5.

polka I forgot you'd already been offered that ancient baby stuff, I know they mean well but it's stressful isn't it!

cookie I can totally see why you don't want the inlaws to know, poor you!

I'm kind of jealous of the normal amounts of weight you've all put on. I'm at 9lbs and counting but trying not to worry to much. Weirdly my arms, legs and face have all got thinner while boobs, bump and bum just seem to get bigger! Grin

I have to get on with it early as I could hardly walk at 7 months last time. I hope it will be better this time round as I'm doing a lot of things differently but I still have an earlier date in mind for not being able to decorate or go out shopping.

Hello, my inlaws are being very good mainly because they still don't know, dh doesn't get on that well with them (two sets) and doesn't want them to tell them. Plus when I was pregnant last year (mmc) his mum and step dad were very negative and told us our lives were over Hmm and his dad wanted to come visit asap! So I am alright with them not knowing!

I've bought lots of bits and bobs and the pushchair and car seat e.t.c

Gosh, I was planning on waiting at least another 10 weeks before buying anything/decorating! We were given an old pram from some family members which will be a great help as looks good for off road. But apart from that I have nothing. I did have a quick browse around mothercare the other day, that was enough for now.

That 4 full months things has scared me though!

I've only told work last week, I feel quite big but everyone seemed shocked - must have thought I'd been at the pies Hmm. I've put on 8lbs so far, all of those in the last 6 weeks Blush

My scan is weds - I'm getting very nervous / excited now.
I've been given loads of boys / unisex clothes and a full set of washable nappies. DH doesn't want to start on anything yet (even decorating) Hmm
I've at least got him to start on non-baby related DIY but we def need to start ordering stuff this weekend as there is a min 2 month waiting time for the crib we want.

Ooh I was looking a baby bjorn bouncer on Amazon topsy. Not sure if it's worth paying a bit more for one as I'm sure there are cheaper ones but they do look good.

Mothercare are inducing my preggo rage as they (well City link) have still failed to deliver box 2 of 3 of the wardrobe I bought for the nursery. Everything has come in more than one box and in split deliveries, plus they never arranged a delivery date, dh just happened to be off to accept the ones that have arrived. Pretty sure they must've lost it but they won't send a replacement until city link confirm what's happened to this box, but they aren't getting back to mothercare very quickly as 2 emails have been sent now to city link without a reply. I paid mothercare not city link so I'm annoyed at waiting around for city link to get their acts together. So not a massive deal in the grand scheme of things but just bloody irritating. If you got to the end of my preggo rage rant you deserve a big piece of cake Cake lol :)

Can't believe there is a January club rockin yikes!! Time certainly is flying!

Don't know what happened over night but my bump is most definitely out now. It's gone from barely noticeable to a definite pregnancy bump now and I'm loving it. Had lots of people look at me and smile today whereas previously I could tell if they were trying to work out if I was fat or pregnant!

Glad I'm not the only one buying stuff. Was wondering if it was a bit early but want to spread the cost as much as we can. Have been going a bit mad on eBay and so far have a pushchair & carry cot, cotbed, monitor, carrier / sling thing and glider chair for the nursery. Next thing on the list is a baby bjorn bouncer & then I've been told to stop until next month!

I've put about 6-7lbs on too but was overweight to start with so I look (feel!) huge and frumpy.

MIL hasn't bought anything to our knowledge but I posted before to say that she's offered us her ancient pram, high chair, blankets etc and I don't want them!

We have a cot, moses and steriliser which we bought very very cheaply from a friend but haven't bought anything else yet.

Our scan is Friday and am getting nervous and excited! I can feel distinct movements, usually when sitting down after eating and DH has felt them a few times too now.

cindy a teeny tiny part of me would be happy I get to see baby again if this happens to me tomorrow but then again I'm really wanting to know what I'm having. I have no patience!!
I'm very blessed to have wonderful in laws who know decent boundaries but are a massive help. As are my parents.
I do feel for those who have awkward family as it makes everything so much harder.
rockin I've 'only' put on 6 lbs but I feel huge but would be upset if someone said that to me. Seriously insensitive!

I have been preparing for the mil baby explosion, but it hasn't yet. She has asked a few questions about me baby kicking etc but hasn't been overbearing like I thought she would.
She is also a shopaholic but have not seen any baby related purchases yet.

Dh seems determined to make me friends with my sister(even though he sees how crazy she is). Its really starting to cause arguments now that the due date is getting closer as I would prefer to be a different continent to her once baby arrives

I don't have a huge amount done yet either, some clothes, a travel cot, a carrier. Still have the buggy Confused and the cot (Ikea) to buy. Paint the nursery.

rockin that sounds so frustrating, and doesn't she know she's dicing with preggo rage??

Cindy I hope you get a scan pic next time!

Is anybody else struggling with the in laws? We've not sorted a nursey out yet and mil and fil are planning a room in their house for the baby...!? Confused

yes i try to keep my distance from her as much as possible!
she says all this with a big smile on her face, like butter wouldn't melt so if i do explode i'm the one that looks bad.
she can be very passive aggressive too. whereas i just do a death stare and ignore to people i don't like.
