Yes, missteacake I was on the tube yesterday and my stomach was so bloated I looked really pregnant.

I haven't actually been sick yet. I have emetophobia, so I don't want to be sick. I've had very little nausea so far. Yesterday was the first time I really felt sick I was crying to DH panicking that I was going to be sick. [pathetic]

Northernexile · 26/03/2014 15:01

Congratulations, Missteacake! I had a very similar experience with my first pg, I was about 7 weeks and had awful pain on one side, so bad it was making me vomit (and I didn't have morning sickness). The Doctor told me it could be ectopic, but when I went to A&E they thought it was a grumbling appendix, which apparently is quite common during pregnancy. Luckily it never bothered me again since, but I remember very well the utter panic of that day. I hope things calm down for you now!

alita7 · 26/03/2014 15:23

thank god for that miss tea cake!

I also was worried about ectopic but all is good :)

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 15:33

MissTeaCake yes I definitely feel better after being sick. So much so that yesterday when I woke up feeling horrendous, I did contemplate making myself feel sick. Decided against that in the end though.

It isn't necessarily bad, likeaboss. Apparently bleeding early on in pregnancy is more common than we think!

Have you tried calling your GP? Might be worth talking to them.

Flowers hope everything is ok.

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 16:08

likeaboss it's not necessarily bad. Obviously probably best to get checked out but bleeding can be normal in pregnancy.

Most important thing is please don't use a tampon. Try calling GP or midwife. Hope everything is ok.

amylou85 · 26/03/2014 16:17

I'm smiley again! Got whipped off to the early pregnancy unit and been prided and probed and cervix is closed but has a mark which could be where the bleeding is from and hcg levels are 3060 so they can scan me on Monday to check everything. Come on little tadpole!!!! Glad to read that lots of you guys had bleeding too and it was common x xx

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 16:24

OK it's my turn to panic and it's completely my own fault. I've still got loads of IC tests left, so decided to use one just to 'make sure' it was still positive. I think I just like seeing it turn positive! Anyway, it was definitely positive but I noticed the line wasn't as dark as the one a few weeks ago. Anyway, I wasn't that bothered as I know they are of varying quality.

Whilst I was out today, I saw some tests on offer in Boots so bought a twin pack again just Tao make sure. I just used one and again there's a positive line but it's very faint. Am trying not to panic but not sure what to think. I wish I'd never done it as I had no reason to worry- no particular pain, no bleeding, plenty of morning sickness but now I'm terrified. Sad

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 16:25

AmyLou glad to hear you're feeling a bit more positive and good luck for the scan on Momday.

ElleOhElle · 26/03/2014 16:29

amylou - that's sounding much more positive!
likeaboss - sending positive thoughts your way.
tigsy - I'm siere everything will be fine. I was going to take a test again but I'm too scared it will be faint/negative. I'm feeling so rough I just need the next 4 weeks to hurry up so I can have my scan - so scared of a mmc though.

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 16:34

Glad to hear that amylou Smile

Tigsy I bought a win pack of Boots own brand and did a test on Monday morning, it took ages to develop and it had only a very faint line. DH bought me Clearblue Digital and it came up 'Pregnant'. I don't think the Boots ones are very good quality.

DilysMoon · 26/03/2014 16:38

likeaboss don't worry I had a bright red bleed on Saturday which lasted about 15 hours and some cramping, was convinced that was it and went to a&e on Sunday even though it had stopped by then. They took bloods and checked me over and referred me to epu.

Had a scan on Tuesday which showed everything was fine, no evidence of bleeding or where it came from, I couldn't believe be it! They said it's quite common to have bleeding in early pg. I'm 6 week by the way.

If you're concerned and it continues I'd go to a&e out call your local epu and see what they say, hope you're okay x

Northernexile · 26/03/2014 16:58

Hoping for good news for everyone who is worried Thanks

Amyrose82 · 26/03/2014 17:03

AmyLou - glad you're feeling better, and fingers crossed for Monday!

Likeaboss - it must be so hard but try not to panic, like everyone has said bleeding in early pg is much more common than you realise. Hopefully docs/epu will be able to reassure you soon...

Tigsy - I know how you feel! Been doing tests every couple of days and yesterday's was definitely lighter than earlier tests. I consulted dr google and found loads of people saying their tests had got lighter and apparently as you get further on and hormones get higher the test strips can be overwhelmed and show lighter or even negative! If your symptoms are still there I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!

Still not much to report by way of symptoms here - although was a bit nauseous this morning! So scared of it being a mmc - I just want to feel pregnant!

7 weeks today and it's going sooooo slowly!Confused

Catnap1 · 26/03/2014 17:40

Hi all. Hope all have good news that are concerned about their pregnancy.
It's actually reassuring to read other peoples posts as I'm worrying about the smallest thing! Got my first midwife appointment next Wednesday, I will be 8+4 then does anyone know if they will listen for the heartbeat at the appointment?
Is anyone feeling hungry all the time? I can't stop eating! Time is passing so slowly roll on 25th April for my scan!

alita7 · 26/03/2014 17:54

Tigsy I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation - your still feeling ill so trust your symptoms!! :)

fingers crossed for anyone worrying I just hope we can all look back on all this and laugh when we've got healthy babies in our arms!

Nessalina · 26/03/2014 17:55

Hi everyone!
So sorry everyone seems to be having such stressful days!! Shock
Tigsy - just read the instructions for my IC pregnancy tests again, and it says that 'in cases where very high levels of HCG are present a false negative can occur due to the 'prozone' effect'. It says you can dilute 1:1 with ionized water and retest, but I doubt you have any of that about Wink
In any case it sounds like you're just too pregnant for your pregnancy test!
likeaboss - try not to worry too much, lots of us have had bleeds with no further issues, just stay calm, book in to see GP, and use pads if you have any so you can keep track of what's happening down there. Fx it's nothing! Thanks
Amylou so pleased it's good news!! SmileSmileSmile

Evening everyone!
AmyLou I'm glad to hear things are looking ok!
likeaboss fingers crossed it is just a small amount of bleeding. Lots of us have had it and been ok so hopefully you will feel reassured after some tests/scan soon. It's horrible whilst you wait!
Tigsy pop the tests away if you can. If you need to do one, maybe stick with digi just now rather than looking at lines for peace of mind?
bex So glad to hear baby is looking healthy and happy! It can't be too long to your 20 week scan now?

I have my scan at the epu tomorrow morning. Will be 6+4. DH is away all week, so I'm hoping for many reasons, that all is well and it shows no sign of the bleeding from last week, hopefully a heartbeat too! Fingers crossed!

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 18:41

Thanks ladies. This was the first place I thought to come when I was panicking Smile

Definitely need to step away from the tests- was ridiculous as had no need to do one and hadn't done for weeks. Luckily got my private scan on Saturday so will just hold out for that.

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 26/03/2014 19:00

So I have just got a letter through for my dating scan on 14 April but I'll only be 8+5 seems really early to me. Anyone else have theirs so early.
It will be at Chelsea & Westminster.
