amylou85 · 26/03/2014 07:28

Thanks. Feel like a nob, I've only known for a week but still brought me to tears when my boobs were fine this morning as tried to go to sleep last night feeling positive thinking 'it's only spotting, lots of ppl get it' but I just know. Pulling feelings in my stomach are gone. Stupid how attached you get so quick, can't imagine what it must be like for girls later on, such a horrible thing x x

MrsY87 · 26/03/2014 07:38

Amy fingers crossed everything is ok for you, look after yourself.

I've woken up this morning with no symptoms at all even sore boobs have gone but no bleeding or cramps. Is it normal for symptoms to come and go completely?

Really worrying myself as my SIL had her 12 week scan last week and she'd had a mmc at 6 weeks :-( I'm devastated for her and it's made me really scared the same thing could happen to me. thinking I might book a private scan for this weekend for some reassurance hopefully, I'm 7+2 today so would be 7+5 on Saturday is this still too early to show a heartbeat?

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 07:40

Hopefully the GP will be able to scan you soon Amy Flowers

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 07:41

Sorry, I meant refer you for a scan soon.

alita7 · 26/03/2014 07:45

amy I hope you have a scan and it's all ok! Fingers crossed!

Polkadotscarf · 26/03/2014 08:06

My symptons come and go and had some bleeding last week (6+6) I had a scan at the hospital and saw heart beat and they said it's just unexplained bleeding which is quite common apparently.
My symptons are back in full force this week (7+5)....time goes by so slowly at the moment!

BexBoo12 · 26/03/2014 08:07

Yes alita, they were all accurate for me but they are all just old wives tales so I guess there's entry of people that got the wrong results!!

Barmy, yes everything else was fine, baby is strong and healthy with a very strong heartbeat apparently so I'm so relieved Grin how are you this morning xx

annatha · 26/03/2014 08:13

I'm really sorry to hear what you're going through Amy, i know it might seem impossible right now but try not to give up hope, lots of people have reported bleeding and lots have had symptoms disappear, mine certainly did for about a week when I was 6 weeks and it really worried me. Your GP should be able to get you in for an early scan x

Greenstone · 26/03/2014 08:13

Really sorry amy :(

BexBoo12 · 26/03/2014 08:35

Hugs to you Amy xx

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 08:54

AmyLou sorry to hear this. Hope you are able to get a scan soon so you know either way. Take good care of yourself.

MrsY87 I have a private scan booked for this saturday and I'll be 7+3. You should be able to see a heartbeat at 7 weeks. When I booked it, they took my dates and wouldn't let me book one any earlier than that, which I'm assuming is because any earlier and they couldn't guarantee I should expect to see one at that stage. Your poor SIL and it must have had a knock-on anxiety provoking effect on you.

On day 2 of the anti-sickness bands and they're fab. Second day I've woken up and not been sick! Nausea still there but not so overwhelming and actually able to function without worrying about where the nearest toilet is.

maeanne · 26/03/2014 09:15

So sorry Amy, I hope you get seen quickly. x

BJZebra · 26/03/2014 09:21

Amylou so sorry that you're having a difficult time

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 09:59

I take it back about the bands getting the sickness under control- just spent 10 minutes vomiting in the toilet at work! :-(

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 10:31

Oh that's horrible, Tigsy

I am dreading morning sickness at work. We only have one toilet for women and its right next to Reception so everyone will hear Blush

My sense of smell is so strong, is anyone else able to smell everything

happypotamus · 26/03/2014 11:09

Hi,
I'm new here. Didn't want to join until I knew for sure. This is my second pregnancy. I had some bleeding at the weekend and, for various complicated reasons, had no idea how pregnant I was. GP referred for a scan today, and I am 8 weeks which is a couple of weeks further than I expected. I was surprised and relieved to see it there.
I have been feeling sick, especially in the evenings, and very tired, which is not too surprising as I work 3 13hr shifts a week and look after a 2yr old the rest of the time.

alita7 · 26/03/2014 11:22

didn't actually vomit with my first pregnancy but with this one I did a couple of times around 4 weeks but haven't since...I've just felt like I'm about to permenantly :p but today I've had a bit of sick in my mouth so eek maybe it'll start...

Greenstone · 26/03/2014 11:23

Welcome happypotamus and congrats, nice to get your scan and gain a week! :) Hope the bleeding stays away.

Alpaca (I love your nn by the way), funny you should say that about the smell, I was just thinking that I remember my sense of smell being way stronger the first time around. I could smell red wine on Dh's breath if he was standing at the door! This time not so much. Like many others on this thread I'm starting to wonder a bit at symptoms diminishing.

Tigsy that sounds unutterably grim. Poor you :(

Missteacake · 26/03/2014 11:46

Hello ladies

I am 29 and am 6+1 with DC 2. Due 18th November. After a long day in A and E with suspected ectopic actually saw a little fluttering heartbeat!!! In the right place Smile

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 12:01

Thank you Greenstone Smile yes, I know what you mean. I can smell people's breath quite strongly, I keep offering everyone chewing gum Blush

Welcome Missteacake congratulations! How exciting to hear your baby's heartbeat!

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 13:22

Alpaca my work isn't ideal for being sick either. Only 2 (unisex) toilets on my floor and my office is literally the furthest away from the toilets. Also, they are directly off the kitchen so anyone hanging around in there making tea is likely to hear!

Tigsy · 26/03/2014 13:24

Congratulations and welcome Missteacake sounds like you had a bit of a scare so must have been very reassuring to find out things are ok.

AlpacaYourThings · 26/03/2014 13:28

Oh that's not great either Tigsy hopefully the sickness passes soon.

blamber · 26/03/2014 13:29

missteacake you must be so relieved! What made you go to A&E and have they found the cause of your symptoms?

Missteacake · 26/03/2014 14:27

I am very very relieved. I had secondary infertility so I'm quite anxious anyway. It took me one try to conceive with DD and so so so long with #2 it's completely different second time round and 5 years later. I had severe pains on my left side and some spotting. Every time they poked me on the left it would hurt. But everything turned out ok they think that the hormonal changes are messing with my stomach and intestines making digestion painful. Does anyone else look 5 months pregnant already!!

Tipsy and alpaca : do you find being sick makes you feel better after cause I feel horrendous but haven't actually been sick? Just wondered.
