Haha thanks Poly :) keeping my fingers crossed!!!

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 11:01

Haha! Me too! I'm still very nervous, I'm only 5wks today and I've still got terrible cramps! I'm getting excited to see familiar faces joining the antenatal thread!

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 16:36

Hehe well I hope to stay :) I'm beyond excited and nervous!

PolytheneGirl · 17/04/2014 18:37

We need some more penis dragon ladies on this thread! I hope some more will be joining us soon!

Anyone got a magic cure for sore nipples? I feel just like I did when I was first BFing DS! Ouch!

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2014 21:37

Haha sorry I don't have any cure for that!

Has anyone thought of having/had an early reassurance scan?

barmybunting · 18/04/2014 09:28

Congratulations Zermatt and Treacle! Lovely to see you here!

Treacle, I had an early scan at the epu due to bleeding but if I hadn't had that, we would have paid for a private one at 8 weeks. I'm fully aware that things can still go wrong after that but for a bit of reassurance, I would have struggled to wait until 8 weeks.

Anyone else having really weird dreams? I dreamt DH cut his head last night so stuck an irn bru label to his head to avoid stitches. We don't drink irn bru!

Treaclepie19 · 18/04/2014 11:13

Thanks barmy :)
Well I'm having brown spotting today.. quite worried. Should I be?

Haha I've had quite weird dreams too!

barmybunting · 18/04/2014 15:39

Would your period be due now Treacle? A lot of people seem to have brown spotting then and it's perfectly normal. I would mention it when you see the doc though and if it continues or changes to red or pink, push for an early scan or blood tests to check your hormone levels.

I've had spotting throughout, including red fresh blood, and am currently 10 weeks and all is well. The midwife/nurse at my scan said it's quite normal but you must say something to them should it continue. I imagine it's prob left over from implantation as the brown blood is old blood but keep an eye on it and contact someone if you are worried.

Treaclepie19 · 18/04/2014 21:11

Thanks barmy that's reassuring. I will mention it.
It's nearly gone now. Hopefully that's the end of the spotting... My period would've been due yesterday.
The cramps aren't nice tonight but my stomach is so swollen maybe it's wind?
It's all very scary to be honest!

Zermatt · 19/04/2014 07:17

I've been having very weird vivid dreams, last night I had a very long detailed dream about eating KFC

Zermatt · 19/04/2014 09:04

Clearly lacking a decent imagination :)

Treaclepie19 · 19/04/2014 10:49

Haha Zermatt, sounds like a good dream to me :)
I'm having vivid bad dreams. Sleep is just not good at the moment!
I'm getting to sleep easily but I have a cold so once I wake up (to do my temp and POAS) I can't get back to sleep. I made myself stay in bed today so I had an extra hour or two.

PolytheneGirl · 19/04/2014 20:52

How are things going now Treacle? Has your spotting stopped yet? Fx everything is ok.

Treaclepie19 · 20/04/2014 16:13

The spotting has stopped :) had cramps last night that worried me so I've been to the walk in centre. She said I've got a bit of a water infection but otherwise couldn't say anything. Just said to rest and keep on eye on it.
She also did a pregnancy test... ive only just had a positive digi 25miu.
She couldn't get a positive but I'd also drunk 1 and a bit pints of water before going.

Still worried me a bit.

PolytheneGirl · 20/04/2014 16:59

Treacle Glad your spotting has stopped. It was probably a good idea to go and get a check over. I've had many urine infections over the years and always get stabbing pains very low down with them. Maybe that could be contributing to your pain. I wouldn't worry about the BFN. as you say, your wee would have been very diluted. When are you going to the GP re: your BFP? I've got to wait until 1/5! So annoyed Angry

Treaclepie19 · 20/04/2014 17:26

Oh no :( I'm going to go Tuesday. Will just turn up and get an emergency appointment. The only way to get one :/

I am still worried my hcg isn't very high. 14dpo and it's only just registering on a 25miu digi. Then again I don't know what's normal!

PolytheneGirl · 20/04/2014 17:40

I think that is quite normal. You may not have implanted until 10dpo and it takes some time for the HCG to get that high. I think I was 15 dpo before I got a 20mlu to detect mine. But at 21dpo (7d after AF was due) I got a +ve on a 100mlu. I think I read somewhere that the HCG should double every couple of days.

Treaclepie19 · 20/04/2014 17:55

Yeah that's true :) makes me feel better hearing your experience.

How are you feeling?

PolytheneGirl · 20/04/2014 18:01

Glad I can help a bit Smile

I'm feeling less nauseous than I was but I'm very bloated and it's really hard to cover up. This 8ww is killing me. I'm stressed and I just want my scan and to get everything out in the open!

Treaclepie19 · 20/04/2014 18:09

Aww that's good :) I've not really felt nauseous but I understand the bloating :(

I know, hurry up scan!!! How far gone are you now?

PolytheneGirl · 20/04/2014 18:15

I'm only 5+3. The past 11 days have felt like a lifetime and I think it is another 11 till my gp's appointment! I'm hoping they give me my scan a little early no reason to though really, I'm just impatient

Treaclepie19 · 20/04/2014 18:25

I'm only 4+4 lol.
I hope we both get early scans :)
The gp at the out of hours service said my gp might want me to have a 7 week scan cus of the spotting but not holding out hope.

MundayCakes85 · 20/04/2014 22:48

I know the early weeks can be a bit scary and drag by. We all thought the 2ww was long! Not sure there is a cure for sore nipples, reminded me of growing pains Smile
My DH is having serious sympathy symptoms, he's currently sat holding his "bump"!!
Hope everyone had a relaxing Easter weekend so far x

PolytheneGirl · 21/04/2014 12:32

Hi Munday how are you? Haw far along are you now? Obvs I'm feeling very sorry for your DH. Have his ankles swollen up yet? Maybe he could do with an antenatal massage? Grin

MundayCakes85 · 21/04/2014 17:24

Hi Poly I'm 17 weeks and starting to enjoy this magical second trimester. Although my hips seem to hurt quite a lot of the time, nothing compared to the first 12 weeks Grin
I was actually just rubbing DH's feet as they're hurting him today Smile
How are all the other dragon-ites going today?
