Posy even. Soz xx

Choccywoccydodah · 13/03/2014 15:15

Ha ha, skinny Minnie!! I'm not fat, but I'm of athletic build so I think that's why I didn't get much of a bump, but no doubt the second one won't be as kind!!

Have you told your ds? It's nice when you can tell people, they can start getting excited with you Smile

My ds will be 3 in august so it'll be a nice age gap I think. (Out of nappies!!)

No, they can't get me in, they could with another dr in the epu but I think is rather stick with the prof!

Just been to book tickets for the circus! It's coming to our town and literally will be a 1 min walk away, so excited, I don't think I've ever even to a circus!!! GrinGrin

Yes Choccy being athletic you probably have nice strong stomach muscles!! Grin
Seems like a sensible plan to stick to the prof...it's nice to trust someone. Circus sounds good - you taking your boy? That will be a nice age gap, I'd have liked something slightly smaller, but that is just how these things work out! Mine will be 4 in jan...it's been amazing to be nappy free!

No not told him yet, I don't know how he hasn't pointed out my belly! Will tell him after the scan - I can't wait to tell him, I'm a bit nervous about his reaction too!

barmybunting · 13/03/2014 22:16

Lovely to hear you both have scans soon sazzle and choccy. It'll be a reassurance to see baby for both of you. That's annoying about your scan date choccy, I hope the time goes quickly for you.

I was told I had to go to the Dr to have it confirmed before I could arrange a booking in app with the midwife for 8 weeks so off I went today. The Dr looked at me like I was batty when I told him I had been told I had to see someone. Waste of time, but oh well. The midwife is apparently only ever available on a Wednesday morning between 9.30 and 12.00 each week and that's our only option. Not sure quite how that works! I've managed to get my booking in app for 9.5 weeks which is a bit later that I hoped, but at least it's during the school holidays as I daren't tell school yet given I've only just started the job covering someone else's maternity leave!

Posy, Smile at tapeworm! Hopefully not Smile.

Baby penis dragons! Grin

Sleepingstarsmommy · 20/03/2014 23:06

Can I join you on here ladies?? Due November 27th. I had a couple of months off the buses so haven't a clue what this penis dragon malarkey is all about Confused if anyone cares to enlighten me?? Would google it but have made the mistake of googling something off mumsnet before and I'm still mentally scared

barmybunting · 21/03/2014 06:32

The penis dragons came about on the March bus Smile . They are a sign of fertility apparently. You must google it, you will never experience a right like it again! (They really appeared on the March bus in a slightly inebriated chat on Sunday night between many of the passengers Wink .)

PosyFossilsShoes · 22/03/2014 11:10

Wasn't it a feng shui thing, you sleep on green sheets for fertility and put a little dragon on your DH's side of the bed for virility. Which obviously turned into penis dragons for super-virility.

sazzlehopes · 24/03/2014 16:56

Hoping we will have a few more join us soon from the buses. Think there's been some more bfps! Hooray!

impatienceisavirtue · 24/03/2014 19:22

Hello, November 29 for me!

barmybunting · 24/03/2014 20:00

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 27/03/2014 10:19

Hello fellow weiner dragons! Can I join you? Found the December 2014 very unfriendly compared to the conception boards! I hope I find all the lovely people again?!
I am so so happy I got my bfp! Really crampy though so worried every second that af will appear and take my positive away!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 27/03/2014 10:20

Im due 4/5th dec I believe. The 4th being my mums birthday. I didn't want a Xmas baby when first started to concieve but I think it's a lovely idea now!!

PosyFossilsShoes · 27/03/2014 10:55

Hello Emily! I was very crampy for the first few weeks, I think it's normal (having googled obsessively about it.)

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 27/03/2014 11:35

That's reassuring thank you posy :)

barmybunting · 27/03/2014 19:42

Hi Emily, congratulations!! I think cramping is normal early one. I had some shortly after getting my bfp and all is well.

Posy is it you who is also in Lincolnshire? I'm sure I read that on the Nov board but I'm not 100% sure I haven't got myself muddled up!

How is everyone getting on?

I had an early scan today after bleeding, and all looked good with a happy heartbeat, dating about 6 and a half weeks, so I'm mightily relieved tonight! Telling parents over the weekendSmile Smile .

Emily that is lovely timing near your mum's birthday, she will be so excited! Will this be her first grandchild? (I think it's DC1 for you?)

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 27/03/2014 20:56

Hi bar :) thank you so much! Sounds silly but I feel so lucky! I guess after reading how many ladies have struggled on the Ttc threads. I feel a bit guilty that it's only taken me 2 cycles! Still doesn't feel real!
Bet you are chuffed today to know everything is fine :)
Yep first baby for me and first grandchild for mum! Very exciting!

sazzlehopes · 28/03/2014 07:01

Yes welcome Emily! The idea is that we keep the same friendly vibe here as we all loved on the buses, so hopefully as more move across it'll feel fun!
I think really as long as you have no red bleeding everything is normal and cramping is normal as it's the uterus stretching.

sazzlehopes · 28/03/2014 07:03

Barmy glad the scan showed everything was ok. Exciting to be able to tell your parents, is it your first? Sorry I can't remember!. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and it's so nice to be able to tell people and just let it all hang out!!

impatienceisavirtue · 28/03/2014 08:09

Been a rough couple of days here - thought I was back on the bus again :(

Wednesday I was getting some slight pains in my left side so went to GP who said I had a uti and gave me antibiotics.

I then started bleeding that night - not bright red or too heavy though. I was convinced it was all over again.

I went back to Gp yesterday and she did an internal and my cervix is still closed and bleeding was then minimal which are good signs. She took blood and rang in the evening with results which were good - within the range for how far along I am.

I've got another blood test at the hopsital Saturday morning - the real answer will be in whether my hcg is rising properly. So I'm still in limbo and don't know whether it's going to be ok or not.

barmybunting · 28/03/2014 17:38

Emily very exciting Smile . Enjoy it. I know what you mean about feeling lucky. I'm glad it didn't take long for you. It must be so hard to wait for ages!

Sazzle glad to hear all is well. 14 weeks sounds like a happy place to be for you! Enjoy it Smile . It must be nice to let people know now! Yes, this is our first and will be the first grandchild on both sides so we are looking forward to telling our parents. I'm partially looking forward to telling them just for a bit of sanity as I'm struggling with sickness etc so just want someone to know!

Impatience I'm sorry you are having such a worrying time. How many weeks are you now? I hope the gp can reassure you tomorrow. It's awful to have that worry, especially after your recent experience. I'm thinking of you. Try and remember that bleeding and cramps are hopefully just things settling in and nothing to worry about. It's easier to say that than do it though as I'm still worrying despite a scan yesterday. It's a horrible wait!
